HOW TO PREPARE DRIP COFFEE
IMPORTANT: the first time the appliance is used, all accessories and the internal circuits must be washed through by making at least two jugs of coffee without using ground coffee.
• Open the door at the front by pulling the handle and use the jug to pour clean cold water into the water fill compartment up to the level indicated for the number of cups of coffee to be prepared (fig. 1). Check the level of water in the tank through the level window. You are recommended to use the jug provided as a measure as the maximum capacity of the jug and the tank are the same (fig. 2).
• Position the permanent filter (if present) in the filter holder (fig. 3). In versions without permanent filter, use the paper filter.
• Place the ground coffee in the filter, using the measuring spoon supplied, and level evenly (fig. 4). See table 1 for recommended quantities. Use good quality, medium-ground coffee for drip coffee makers.
* 1 level measure = 1 tablespoon (5 g) Increase or reduce the quantity of coffee according to taste.
The quantities given in the table are indicative and should be adapted to your personal taste and the type of coffee.
Never ex ceed the maximum quantity of 13 measures to avoid the coffee spilling.
The type of coffee has a considerable influence on the coffee you make. You should therefore try various types of coffee to find the one best suited
