Inconsistent Temperature Threshold Information in Split-Mode Configuration

When two servers are connected to a Dell™ PowerVault™MD1120 System in
split-mode configuration, changing the temperature warning threshold values on
the MD1120 from one server does not propagate the change to the other server's
Dell OpenManage™ Server Administrator Storage Management (OMSM)
console.

Workaround

Rebooting both servers will cause new threshold values to display properly.

No Warning of Failed EMM in OMSM

Under unique circumstances, a failed Enclosure Management Module (EMM)
may not be reported in OMSM. If configured for redundancy, a failed EMM will
not interfere with normal SAS I/O operations. Enclosure management functions
will failover to the redundant EMM.

Workaround

If an EMM failure occurs, the shelf fault LED and EMM fault LED on the
storage enclosure will be lit. Use the LEDs to properly identify an EMM fault
condition.

Informations de seuil de température incohérentes en mode divisé

Si deux serveurs sont connectés à un système Dell™ PowerVault™MD1120 en
mode divisé et si vous modifiez les valeurs de seuil de température déclenchant
une alerte sur le MD1120 depuis l'un des serveurs, ce changement n'est pas
répercuté sur la console Dell OpenManage™ Server Administrator Storage
Management (OMSM) de l'autre serveur.

Solution

Pour que les nouvelles valeurs de seuil s'affichent correctement, redémarrez
les deux serveurs.

Absence d'avertissement sur la console OMSM en cas d'échec d'un module EMM

Dans certaines circonstances particulières, aucun message d'avertissement
concernant l'échec d'un module de gestion de baie EMM ne s'affiche sur
la console OMSM. S'il est configuré pour la redondance, un module EMM
défaillant n'a pas d'incidence sur le fonctionnement des opérations d'E/S SAS.
Le basculement des fonctions de gestion de la baie s'effectue sur le module
EMM redondant.

Solution

En cas de défaillance d'un module EMM, le voyant de défaillance d'alvéole et
le voyant de défaillance du module EMM de la baie de stockage s'allument.
Servez-vous de ces voyants pour savoir si le module EMM a subi une défaillance.

am MD1120 nicht automatisch an die Dell OMSM-Konsole des anderen Servers
übermittelt (OMSM = OpenManage™ Server Administrator Storage
Management).

Lösungsansatz

Nachdem beide Server neu gestartet wurden, werden die neuen Schwellenwerte
korrekt angezeigt.

Keine Warnung bei EMM-Ausfall in OMSM

Unter spezifischen Bedingungen wird der Ausfall eines Gehäuseverwaltungs­moduls (EMM = Enclosure Management Module) in OMSM nicht gemeldet.
Bei einer redundanten Konfiguration wird die reguläre SAS-E/A-Kommunikation
durch den Ausfall eines EMMs nicht beeinträchtigt. Die Gehäuseverwaltungs­funktionen werden von dem redundanten EMM übernommen.

Lösungsansatz

Beim Ausfall eines EMMs leuchten die LED-Anzeigen für Einschubfehler
und für EMM-Fehler am Speichergehäuse auf. Achten Sie auf diese Anzeigen,
um den Ausfall eines EMMs korrekt zu diagnostizieren.

Actualización de información de los sistemas Dell™ PowerVault™ MD1120

La información sobre el umbral de temperatura no es coherente en una configuración en modo dividido

Cuando hay conectados dos servidores a un sistema Dell™ PowerVault™MD1120
en una configuración de modo dividido, al cambiar los valores de umbral de
advertencia de temperatura en el MD1120 desde uno de los servidores, este
cambio no se propaga a la consola de Dell OpenManage™ Server Administrator
Storage Management (OMSM) del otro servidor.

Solución

Debe reiniciar los dos servidores para que se muestren correctamente los nuevos
valores de umbral.

OMSM no advierte de un error en un EMM

En circunstancias excepcionales, puede ser que OMSM no notifique un error
del módulo de administración de alojamiento (EMM). Si está configurado para
la redundancia, el EMM que ha fallado no interferirá en las operaciones normales
de E/S SAS. En cuanto a las funciones de administración de alojamiento,
las asumirá el EMM redundante.

Solución

Si se produce un error en un EMM, el LED de fallo de plataforma y el LED
de fallo de EMM del alojamiento para almacenamiento se encenderán. Utilice
los LED para identificar correctamente la condición de error de un EMM.
