Dell™ Latitude™ XT Multi-Touch Gestures Upgrade

The multi-touch gestures upgrade enables your Dell Latitude XT computer
to respond to several touch-screen gestures to extend the touch-input
computing features of your Tablet-PC.

Your Tablet-PC responds to gesture commands in all digitizer modes, except
for pen-only mode, when the multi-touch gestures option is enabled.
Operating system and application software determine which commands are
interpreted. See the "Application Matrix" on page 10 for more information.

Installation

NOTICE: Installation and use of this software requires compliance with the Dell

™

N-Trig

its AC adapter and must not be attached to a media base (undocked).

The multi-touch gestures upgrade software is downloadable from the Dell
website. To acquire and install this software:

Gesture Features

Gestures are expressions made while touching the screen of your Tablet PC
with two fingers. They are interpreted as user commands to the operating
system or active application software. When the operating system recognizes
a gesture, an icon confirming the gesture appears on the screen. This multi­touch update includes three gestures: a scroll gesture, a zoom gesture, and a
two-finger double-tap gesture.

Gestures icons shown herein are sourced by N-trig Ltd.

Scroll Gesture

Placing two fingers on the screen and moving them horizontally or vertically
generates scrolling in the direction of movement: right, left, up, or down.

Zoom Gesture

Touching the screen with two fingers and moving them together or apart
generates a zoom-in or zoom-out command to the screen.

Two-Fingers Double-Tap Gesture

Tapping the screen twice with two fingers sends an operating system
command that you can configure. It can be used to perform actions, such as
turning the display off and disabling touch gestures (default), or run an
executable program, such as one that opens Internet Explorer.

Sensitivity Setup

To adjust the sensitivity for the two-finger gestures, double-click the N-trig
icon ( )in the system tray, and tap the Multi-Touch Gestures tab. Set the
sliders for each gesture as desired.

Latitude XT-computeren reagere på adskillige touch-screen gestures til at

Tablet-pc'en reagerer på gesturekommandoer i alle digitaliseringstilstand,
undtagen kun-pen tilstand, når multi-touch gestures-funktionen er aktiveret.

Gesture-funktioner

Gestures er udtryk, håndbevægelser, som bliver udført, når tablet-pc'ens
skærm røres med to fingre. De bliver fortolket som brugerkommandoer til
operativsystemet eller den aktive software. Når operativsystemet genkender en
håndbevægelse, vises det ikon, som bekræfter håndbevægelsen, på skærmen.
Denne multi-touch opdatering inkluderer tre gestures: en rulle-gesture, en
zoom-gesture og en gesture med to-fingret dobbelt banken.

Gestures-ikoner, som er vist heri, kommer fra N-trig Ltd.

Rulle-gesture

Når to fingre anbringes på skærmen, og de flyttes vandret eller lodret,
genereres der en rulning i bevægelsens retning; højre, venstre, op eller ned.

kommando til operativsystemet, som du kan konfigurere. Den kan bruges til

Dell™ Latitude™ XT Multi-Touch Gestures Upgrade

Met de multi-touch gestures upgrade kan uw Dell Latitude XT computer
reageren op verschillende gebaren op het aanraakscherm en vegroot u de
mogelijkheden om uw tablet-pc via aanrakingen te bedienen.

Uw tablet-pc reageert in alle digitalisatie modes op opdrachten via gebaren,
behalve in de alleen-pen modus waarbij de optie multi-touch gestures
uitgeschakeld is. Het besturingssysteem en de toepassingssoftware bepalen
welke opdrachten worden uitgevoerd. Zie "Toepassingsmatrix" op pagina 40
voor meer informatie.

Installatie

LET OP: Installatie en gebruik van deze software vereisen naleving van de

Dell N-Trig™ Gebruiksrechtovereenkomst (End User License Agreement, EULA).

LET OP: Tijdens de installatie van deze software moet uw tablet-pc voeding krijgen

via de AC adapter en mag hij niet zijn aangesloten op een mediacompartiment (niet

Gebarenfuncties

Gebaren zijn uitdrukkingen die gemaakt worden door met twee vingers het
scherm van uwt abletpc aan te raken. Zij worden geïnterpreteerd als
opdrachten van de gebruiker aan het besturingssysteem of de actieve
softwaretoepassing. Wanneer het besturingssysteem een gebaar herkent,
verschijnt op het scherm een pictogram om het gebaar te te bevestigen. Deze
multi-touch update omvat drie gebaren: een scrollgebaar, een inzoomgebaar
en een dubbel-aanraakgebaar met twee vingers.

De Gestures-pictogrammen die hierin worden weergegeven, worden
gesourced door N-trig Ltd.

Scrollgebaar

Door twee vingers op het scherm te plaatsen en deze horizontaal of verticaal
te bewegen, wordt gescrolld in de richting van de beweging: links, rechts, naar
boven of naar beneden.

Inzoomgebaar

Door het scherm met twee vingers aan te raken en deze tegelijk of
afzonderlijk te bewegen wordt op het scherm een opdracht voor inzoomen of
uitzoomen gegenereerd.

Dubbel-aanraakgebaar met twee vingers

Door het scherm twee keer met twee vingers aan te raken stuurt u een
opdracht naar het besturingssysteem die u kunt configureren. Het kan
gebruikt worden om acties uit te voren zoals het uitschakelen van de display
en het deactiveren van de aanraakgebaren (standaard) of voor het openen van
een uitvoerbaar programma, bijvoorbeeld een dat Internet Explorer opent.

Gevoeligheid Setup

Om de gevoeligheid van de tweevingergebaren aan te passen, dubbelklik op
het N-trig pictogram ( )in het systeemvak en raak het tabblad Multi-Touch
gebaren aan. Verplaats naar keuze de schuiven voor elk gebaar.

La mise à niveau pour prendre en charge les gestes Multi-Touch permet à
votre ordinateur Dell Latitude XT de répondre à plusieurs gestes tactiles afin
d'étendre les fonctions de calcul par saisie tactile de votre PC tablette.

Lorsque l'option de gestes Multi-Touch est activée, votre tablette PC répond
aux commandes de geste dans tous les modes de numériseur graphique, sauf
le mode Stylo. Le système d'exploitation et le logiciel déterminent quelles
commandes sont interprétées. Reportez-vous à la section « Matrice
d'application », à la page 60 pour obtenir plus d'informations.

Installation

Fonctions de gestes tactiles

Les gestes tactiles sont des expressions faites en touchant l'écran de votre PC
tablette avec deux doigts. Ils sont interprétés comme des commandes
d'utilisateur au système d'exploitation ou au logiciel de l'application active.
Lorsque le système d’exploitation reconnaît un geste tactile, un icône
confirmant le geste tactile en question apparaît à l’écran. Cette mise à niveau
pour prendre en charge les gestes Multi-Touch inclut trois gestes : un geste de
défilement, un geste de zoom et un geste de double touche à deux doigts.

Les icônes Gesture illustrées ici sont fournies par N-Trig Ltd.

Geste de défilement

Placez deux doigts sur l'écran et déplacez-les horizontalement ou verticalement
pour défiler dans le sens du mouvement : droite, gauche, haut ou bas.

Das Upgrade „Multi-Touch Gestures“ erweitert Ihren Dell Latitude XT­Computer um die Fähigkeit, bestimmte Bewegungen („Gesten“) auf dem

Wenn die Option „Multi-Touch Gestures“ aktiviert ist, reagiert der Tablet-PC

Gesten. Art und Umfang der durch Gesten steuerbaren Funktionen sind vom
jeweils verwendeten Betriebssystem und der jeweiligen Anwendungssoftware

Gestenfunktionen

Gesten sind bestimmte Figuren, die durch Berühren des Bildschirms des
Tablet PCs mit zwei Fingern erzeugt werden. Sie werden vom Betriebssystem
oder aktiven Anwendungen als Benutzerbefehle interpretiert. Wenn das
Betriebssystem eine Geste erkennt, wird auf dem Bildschirm eine
Bestätigungssymbol angezeigt. Dieses Multi-Touch-Update beinhaltet drei
Gesten: eine Bildlaufgeste, eine Vergrößern/Verkleinern-Geste und eine
Zweifinger-Doppeltippen-Geste.

Die nachstehend bezeichneten Gestensymbole stammen von N-trig Ltd.

Bildlaufgeste

Durch Platzieren von zwei Fingern auf dem Bildschirm und horizontales oder
vertikales Bewegen wird ein Bildlauf in Richtung der Bewegung erzeugt: nach
rechts, nach links, nach oben oder nach unten.

Vergrößern/Verkleinern-Geste

Durch Berühren des Bildschirms mit zwei Fingern und Zueinanderbewegen
oder Auseinanderspreizen der Finger wird ein Befehl zum Verkleinern oder
Vergrößern des Bildes erzeugt.

Zweifinger-Doppeltippen-Geste

Durch zweimaliges Tippen auf den Bildschirm mit zwei Fingern wird ein
benutzerdefinierbarer Befehl an das Betriebssystem gesendet. Diese Geste
können Sie zum Durchführen bestimmter Aktionen verwenden. Sie können
zum Beispiel damit die Bildanzeige deaktivieren und Touch Gestures
deaktivieren (Standardeinstellung) oder ein Programm wie zum Beispiel
Internet Explorer ausführen.

Einstellen der Empfindlichkeit

Doppelklicken Sie zum Einstellen der Empfindlichkeit für die
Zweifingergesten auf das Symbol für N-trig ( ) im Infobereich der
Taskleiste und tippen Sie auf die Registerkarte Multi-Touch Gestures. Stellen
Sie die Schieberegler für jede Geste auf den gewünschten Wert ein.

L'aggiornamento dei movimenti multitocco abilita il computer Dell Latitude
XT a rispondere a diversi movimenti multitocco per estendere le funzionalità
di elaborazione degli input tocco del Tablet PC.

Il Tablet PC risponde ai comandi dei movimenti in tutte le modalità di
digitalizzazione, eccetto la modalità solo penna, quando l'opzione dei
movimenti multitocco è abilitata. Il sistema operativo e il software applicativo

Funzionalità dei movimenti

I movimenti sono espressioni create al tocco dello schermo del Tablet PC con
due dita. Essi vengono interpretati come comandi dell'utente al sistema
operativo oppure al software applicativo attivo. Quando il sistema operativo
riconosce un movimento, viene visualizzata una icona di conferma del
movimento. Questo aggiornamento multitocco include tre movimenti: un
movimento di scorrimento, un movimento di zoom e un movimento di
doppio tocco a due dita.

Le icone dei gesti mostrate nella presente provengono da N-trig Ltd.

Movimento di scorrimento

Posizionare due dita sullo schermo e muoverle orizzontalmente o verticalmente
genera uno scorrimento nella direzione del movimento: destra, sinistra, su o gi

ù.

Movimento di zoom

Toccare lo schermo con due dita, avvicinandole o allontanandole genera un
comando di zoom avanti o zoom indietro nello schermo.

Movimento di doppio tocco a due dita

Toccare due volte lo schermo con due dita invia un comando del sistema
operativo che è possibile configurare. È possibile utilizzarlo per eseguire
azioni tipo spegnimento dello schermo e disabilitazione dei movimenti tocco
(predefinita), oppure per eseguire un programma eseguibile, tipo uno che
apre Internet Explorer.

Impostazione della sensibilità

Per regolare la sensibilità per i movimenti a due dita, fare doppio clic
sull'icona di N-trig ( ) nella barra di sistema e toccare la scheda

A atualização dos gestos de múltiplos toques permite que o computador Dell
Latitude XT responda a vários gestos de toques na tela, estendendo as

Gestos são expressões feitas tocando-se com dois dedos na tela do Tablet PC.
Eles são interpretados pelo sistema operacional ou pelo software ativo como
comandos do usuário. Quando o sistema operacional reconhece um gesto, um
ícone confirmando esse gesto aparece na tela. Esta atualização de toques
múltiplos contém três gestos: um gesto de rolagem, um gesto de zoom e um
gesto de toque duplo com dois dedos.

Os ícones Gestures (gestos) aqui mostrados são de origem da N-trig Ltd.

Gesto de rolagem

Coloque dois dedos na tela e mova-os horizontal ou verticalmente para
produzir rolagem na direção do movimento, isto é, para a direita, para a
esquerda, para cima ou para baixo.

Gesto de zoom

Toque na tela com dois dedos e aproxime-os ou afaste-os para criar mais
zoom ou menos zoom, respectivamente.

Gesto de toque duplo com dois dedos

Toque duas vezes na tela com dois dedos para enviar, para o sistema
operacional, um comando que você pode configurar. Este gesto pode ser
usado para executar ações como desligar a tela e desativar os gestos de toque
(padrão), ou para abrir um programa, por exemplo, o Internet Explorer.

Configuração da sensibilidade

Para ajustar a sensibilidade dos gestos de dois dedos, clique duas vezes no
ícone do N-trig ( ) da bandeja do sistema e toque na aba Multi-Touch
Gestures (Gestos de toques múltiplos). Posicione os controles deslizantes de
cada gesto conforme desejado.
