Release Notes

Release Notes

Lasso is a Java-based utility that automates the collection of logs and configuration from servers, disk arrays (EqualLogic, PowerVault MD-Series, and EMC), Fibre Channel switches (Brocade, McData, and Cisco), Ethernet and FCoE switches (PowerConnect, Cisco, Brocade, and Force 10), Enclosures (Dell M1000e Chassis, Dell VRTX Chassis) and Management and Monitoring software.
After the collection, Lasso parses the data into an XML file, which is packaged with the original collection and encrypted. The encrypted file is uploaded to Dell Technical Support to use the hardware, software, and firmware information for troubleshooting, checking compatibility and upgrading existing equipment.
