Dee Zee Running Board Installation Instructions
Congratulations on your purchase of a quality Dee Zee product. Dee Zee is

Note: Please take time to read all of the instructions before beginning this installation.
War ning! Please check for wiring or other obstr uctions before drilling any holes into the vehicle. If it is necessar y to drill any holes into the vehicle, Dee Zee recommends putting a sealant or rust inhibitor around all holes drilled into the body of the vehicle.
War ning! It is the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner to check for tire clearance.
War ning! It is unlawful and dangerous to ride on r unning boards or side box boards while the vehicle is in motion.
Cleaning Instructions: To maintain the bright finish of your Dee Zee running boards, clean with a mild deter gent. For our stainless steel products and accessories, the application of a high grade automotive type wax is recommended.

Locate the existing holes shown below. There will be a front set of mounting locations,
and a rear set.

On some vehicle trim levels, the driver side front inner mounting location may be covered
by a plastic panel.
To attach the front brace, the panel can either be removed, or it can be trimmed to expose the inner
mounting location. To trim the panel, cut the area shown below using a pair if tin snips or
avaiation snips.

Using the 3/8" bolt [K], washer [L], and offset threaded plate [H], thread the bolt into the plate
through the hole in the front driver side brace [B].
Using the 8mm bolt [F] and threaded plate [G], thread the bolt into the plate.

Insert the threaded plate [G] into the front outer mounting location.
Once the threaded plate is in the opening, insert the threaded plate that was installed to the inner
mounting location on the front brace into the inner mounting location on the vehicle.

When the inner plate is in the vehicle, rotated the brace around and capture the bolt from the outer
mounting location in the open ended slot.
Pull down on the brace to put the threaded plate under tension and tighten the inner mounting
location with a 9/16" socket.
Pull down on the brace to put the threaded plate under tension and tighten the outer mounting
location with a 13mm" socket.

Using the 3/8" bolt [K], washer [L], and offset threaded plate [H], thread the bolt into the plate
through the slot in the rear driver side brace [C].
Using the 8mm bolt [F] and threaded plate [G], thread the bolt into the plate.

Insert the threaded plate [G] into the rear outer mounting location.
Once the threaded plate is in the opening, insert the threaded plate that was installed to the inner
mounting location on the rear brace into the inner mounting location on the vehicle.

When the inner plate is in the vehicle, rotated the brace around and capture the bolt from the outer
mounting location in the open ended slot.
Pull down on the brace to put the threaded plate under tension and tighten the inner mounting
location with a 9/16" socket.
Pull down on the brace to put the threaded plate under tension and tighten the outer mounting
location with a 13mm" socket.

Slide two square head bolts [I] into the channels on the underside of the running board.
Line the bolts in the running board up with the slots in the braces.
Place the board on the braces with the bolts through the brace slots.

Slide the board to the desired location from front to rear. A tape measure may be used to insure
the board is centered between the wheel wells. Slide to board in/out on the brace slots to place
the board an even distance from the vehicle.
Attach the board to the braces using the flange nut [J]. Tighten all board bolts with a 13mm socket.
Check to make sure all bolts are tightened.
Repeat process for passenger side.
