1.2 Recommendations
For a proper operating of the boiler, follow carefully the instructions.
Any intervention on the appliance and heating equipment must be carried out by a qualified engineer.
The manufacturer is not liable for any improper use of the appliance or failure to maintain or install the unit correctly (the user shall take care to ensure that the system is installed by a qualified engineer).
Check the seal on the gas and water pipe connections.
Check that the appliance is properly set for the type of gas used.
Keep to the polarity shown on the terminals: phase (L), neutral (N) and earth 4.
Check regularly that the installation contains water and is pressurised.
Burn hazard in direct contact with the flame inspection window.
1.3 Ventilation
1.3.1 Chimney versions
Do not obstruct the air inlets in the room (even partially).
France: the cross section of the aeration vent, which is
compulsory in the boiler room in which the boiler is installed, must comply with the DTU 61.1 (P 45 204) standard and, in particular, with the instruction on boiler room layout (Book 1764 April 1982).
Belgium:the cross-section of the aeration vents, which are compulsory in the room in which the boiler is installed, must comply with the NBN D51-003 standard.
Germany: the cross section of the ventiliation vents, which are compulsory in the room in which the boiler is installed, must comply with the VDI 2050 form 1 standard and with other prevailing regulations.
Other countries: the cross section of the aeration inlet, which is compulsory in the premises in which the boiler is installed, must comply with the standards in force in the country.
1.3.2 Forced flue versions
It is not necessary to provide ventilation of the premises in which the boiler is installed. Ventilation is required if a mechanical connection to the gas exists.
1.4 Maintenance
- The servicing and cleaning of the boiler and the sweeping of the flue gas pipe and the bleed pot must be done at least once a year by a qualified professional.
- Regularly check the level of water in the system and top up if required, taking care that cold water is not added suddenly into the boiler when it is hot.
- We recommend taking out a maintenance contract.
Do not drain the installation, except in cases of absolute necessity. For example: Several months' absence with the risk of ice in the building.
1.5 Adapting to another gas type
Belgium:
The operations required to switch from one gas to another must be carried out by a SERV'elite technician.
Other countries:
The operations required to switch from one gas to another must be carried out by your fitter.

4 Energy savings
This boiler handles all the functionalities that one may expect of a condensing boiler. Cutting edge technologies have been used not only in its exceptionally economic design in terms of finance and energy, and therefore also of environmental protection, but have also been applied to provide maximum comfort: heating for the whole house, hot water, incredibly simple to use and trouble-free operation thanks to its reduced noise level.
The gas condensing boiler is not content with using the heat contained in the exhaust gases (perceptible) but also takes advantage of latent heat (hidden). This energy is extracted from the steam produced during the combustion process and is not exploited by conventional boilers. The exhaust gases are here cooled in the boiler in such a way that the steam condenses and the additional heat from the exhaust gases is introduced into the heating system.
The boiler meets the requirements of the German Decree on energy savings (Energie-EinsparVerordnung, EnEV) and offers truly exceptional value for money.
5 Commissioning
Initial commissioning must be done by a qualified
professional.
1. Check the water pressure in the installation. Top up with more
water if necessary.
2. Open the gas valve.
3. Control panel:
- Open the panel flap.
- Set the On/Off switch to
8
.
- Close the flap.
6 Switching off the boiler
Set the On/Off switch to 7.
Precautions to take if there is a danger of frost
Heating circuit
Use a correctly dosed antifreeze to prevent the heating water freezing. If this cannot be done, drain the system completely. In all cases, consult the fitter.
Domestic hot water circuit
Drain the domestic water tank and pipes.
Precautions to take in the event of prolonged shutdown (one year or more)
- The boiler and the chimney must be swept carefully.
- Close the door of the boiler to prevent the internal circulation of air.
- Remove the pipe connecting the boiler to the chimney and plug the nozzle.

7 Troubleshooting
Checks to make before calling your fitter:
The burner will not start.
` Shutdown by the safety thermostat due to accidental
overheating. To restart the boiler: Press the reset button
.
Call your fitter nonetheless.
` Shutdown of the safety system in connection with flue gas
discharge. To restart the boiler: Press the reset button
. If interruptions of this kind happen repeatedly, contact your fitter. It is possible that the combustion products evacuation pipe is totally or partially obstructed.
The burner is operating but the radiators are cold.
- Bleed the radiators.
- Top up the primary circuit with water.
- Check that the heating pump is operating correctly.
- If it is often necessary to top up the installation with water, contact your fitter.
Before informing the fitter of a fault, make a note of the following information:
- Type of product
- Serial number
- Type of combustible
This information can be found on the rating plate stuck to the inside

(1) Low temperature means for condensing boilers 30°C, for low temperature boilers 37°C and for other heaters 50°C return temperature (at
heater inlet).
(2) High temperature regime means 60°C return temperature at heater inlet and 80°C feed temperature at heater outlet.

1.4 Disposal and Recycling
Warning Removal and disposal of the boiler must be carried out by a quali fied installer in accordance with local and national regulations.
If you need to remove the boiler, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the boiler.
2. Cut the electrical power to the boiler.
3. Close the main gas valve.
4. Close the water mains.
5. Close the gas valve on the boiler.
6. Drain the installation.
7. Remove the air vent hose above the siphon.
8. Remove the siphon.
9. Remove the air/flue gas pipes.
10. Disconnect all pipes on the underside of the boiler.
11. Dismantle the boiler.

The energy effi ciency of the package of products provided for in this fi che may not correspond to its actual energy effi ciency once installed in a building, as this effi ciency is infl uenced by further factors such as heat loss in the distribution system and the dimensioning of the products in relation to building size and characteristics.
