Quick Set-Up Guide – dCS Verdi with dCS Delius
This sheet guides you through setting up Verdi and Delius to play CDs and
SACDs. This applies from software issues: Verdi v1.2x and Delius v2.2x fitted
with the 1394 option.
Basic Set-Up
do this: Connect power cables to all units, press the Power buttons and wait for about
30 seconds. Connect up as shown.
The first time you use this set-up, run these reset routines:
do this: For Verdi, press the Menu button on the front panel, then press the ←←←← Step
button repeatedl y until the d isplay shows Factory – press the Menu button.
Wait 30 seconds for the unit to settle down.
do this: For Delius, press the Function button on the front pan el, the n pres s th e ←←←← Step
button repeatedly until the display shows Factory – press the Function
button. Wait 60 seconds for the unit to settle down.

To Power Amplifier or P r eamplif ie r
do this: Once the set-up is complete, load a disc, press the Play button and adjust
Delius’ Volume control.
The system will automatic all y select t he CD data if you are pla ying a CD ( Delius
displays 16/44.1) or the SACD data if you are playing an SACD / hybrid d isc
(Delius displays Verdi).
That is all you need to do, except - enjoy the music!

Adding an Upsampler
You can use a dCS Purcell Upsampler fitted with a 1394 interface and v2.2x
software to upsample the CD data to DSD.
do this: Connect power cables to all units, press the Power buttons. Connect up as
shown below.

button repeatedly until the display shows Factory – press the Function
button. Wait 60 seconds for the unit to settle down.
