OLAR POWER KIT
This manual describes how to install and use the Second Solar Panel for the
EZ-Solar Power Kit. The second panel is for use in far northern or southern latitudes, where wintertime light is limited, as well as other locations with limited solar exposure. This panel doubles the amount of light-gathering
capability of your solar powered EZ-Mount system. It includes a solar panel
and regulator circuit.
Note:
The Second Solar Panel is only for use with the EZ-Solar Power Kit 7707.

You may need the following for this installation:

Installation Guidelines

The power cable supplied is six feet (6’, 1,8 m) long. Mount the Second
Panel close enough to your EZ-Solar Power shelter for the power cable
to reach without stressing the power cable connections.

Refer to the EZ-Solar Power Kit manual for complete mounting
instructions.
Connecting the Cables
1. Open the EZ-Solar Power shelter
door using a flat head screwdriver.
2. Disconnect the red/white wire
from the positive (+) battery terminal.
3. Disconnect the black wires from
the negative (-) battery terminal.
4. Install the Y-terminal adapters on
the battery terminals. It is a tight
fit, so you might want to use pliers
to push the Y-terminal adapters onto the battery terminals.
5. Connect the red/white wires from the regulator to the Y-terminal adapter
on the positive (+) battery terminal.
6. Connect the black wires from the regulator to the Y-terminal adapter on the
negative (-) battery terminal.
7. Remove one round vent plug from the
bottom of the EZ-Solar Power Panel.
8. Run the EZ-Solar Second Panel power
cable up through the power panel vent
hole.
9. Press the power cable’s vent plug into
the vent hole until it locks into place.

10. Connect the red and white wires from the Second Solar Panel to the Y-terminal adapter on the postive (+) battery terminal.
11. Connect the black wires from the Second Solar Panel to the Y-terminal
adapter on the negative (-) battery terminal.
12. To avoid wind damage, stuff any extraneous cable length back into the
field case and use the two cable ties provided to strap any exposed cables
to the extension tube (or tripod).
13. Close the EZ-Solar Power shelter door and secure the two mounting
screws using a flat-head screwdriver.
You have completed the installation.
