Channels
After you login to dv Stream server you will see the screen below. Firstly you will need to create a
new channel.
The channel name cannot contain spaces, characters A-z and _ or – are allowed.
Save the channel and then click the channels tab, you will see the screen below.
The RTMP URL + Stream key will be required to configure the NVS-20/25 encoder.
Enter the RTMP URL and Stream Key into the NVS-20 encoder in RTMP Publish mode and start
streaming.
To view the stream on the NVD-20/25 decoder or VLC simply enter the RTMP URL + Stream Key or
HLS URL as displayed.
The RTMP URL will provide a lower latency stream however HLS will be more stable over poor
internet connections as the client/decoder will download a 10 second chunk of video before starting
playback.
The HLS URL can also be used directly in Safari on IOS devices.
Stats
The Stats tab displays real time statistics for the entire server and each RTMP channel. Please note
that the individual channel RTMP statistics are for RTMP only, clients connected via HLS will not
affect these dials however will be counted in the overall server statistics.
