The module contains low pass filters , isolation transformers, and common mode chokes. These com ponents provide impedance m atching, equi pment isolation, and E MI compr e ssion to comply with IEE E requirements. User compliance with FCC/CS PR clas s B requirements can be achieved by applying rigorous design guidel ines to suppress noise mechanisms. Attention to high fr equency signal paths, proper PCB grounding techniques, and com ponent placem ent is critical. Pins 5 and 12, when grounded, provide noise return paths. At
least one of these (typically pin 12) mus t be coupled with bypas s capacitor. Recommended module orienta tion with respect to RJ45 connector is illustr ated in th e app lic at ion cir cui t . Output pins 6 through 11 should be routed with short, m atche d traces to the con nec tor f or optimum EMI perfor mance. T he robust mechanical pack age with stands IR reflow tem peratures up to 235°C. Com pliant leads provide excellent solder-joint reliability with K.002 coplanarity. Modul e s are shippe d in tubes.
