Important Safety Information
1. Do not use your Printer near water, or spill liquid of any kind into it.
2. Only qualified trained service technicians should attempt to repair your Printer if

3. Unplug the Printer before cleaning it. Use only a damp cloth; do not use liquid or
aerosol cleaners.

The printer can be connected to your host computer with a standard
parallel cable or RS-232 serial cable or USB cable (see the Operator’s
Manual for the required serial cable pin assig nments).

1. Open the cover. Push the Printhead Latch and raise the Printhead
Carrier Assembly.
2. With the labels facing upward, slide the Media onto the Media Hub and
into the printer.
3. Slide the Media Hub against the Media.
4. Pull 12 inches (30 cm) of Media from the roll, as shown.
5. Slide the Media Guide against the edge of the Media.
6. Close the Printhead Carrier Assembly, pressing down until it locks.
7. Close the cover and press the Feed button several times to normalize
label tracking.
For Label Peeling Mode only:
1. Load media following steps 1-4 in .
2. Pull the Peel Off Lever forward.
3. Remove 12 inches (30 cm) of label material from the liner. Route the
liner over the Tearbar and behind the Peel Off Roller, as shown.
4. Push the Peel Off Lever back, to the closed position.
5. Close the Printhead Carrier Assembly by pressing down until it locks.
6. Close the cover. Press the Feed button several times to normalize label
tracking. The labels will separate as they exit the printer.
