products for the Datacard®Maxsys
™
card issuance system. Built-in
intelligence for print ribbons,
cleaning tapes and topping foils
allows the Maxsys™System to
identify and match supplies to the
current job, conserve supply usage,
and notify operators when supply
items are nearing time for
replenishment— all of which saves
time and money while improving
card integrity.
The key to this intelligence is the
technology added to the new blue
core, which maintains individual
supply item data. The Maxsys
System uses this information to
optimize each supply item’s
performance. Because the data is
maintained with the supply core—
not in the Maxsys System—
partially used supplies can be
exchanged between Maxsys
Systems and without losing its most
recent data.

Graphics Module Supplies
Datacard offers high-quality, costeffective monochrome thermal
ribbons in a wide variety of colors.
They provide the ultimate in scratch
and smudge resistance, superior
opaque images, crisp text and bar
codes. Datacard also offers UV
fluorescing and scratch-off ribbon
solutions for your security needs.
The new 300 dpi replacement
printhead assembly installs quickly,
without any tools. Simply remove
two pins, replace the assembly and
re-insert the pins. Also, printheads
are equipped with a resident
read/write memory EPROM
containing printhead performance
data including card counts to assist
with warranty and service needs.
Cleaning Module Supplies
One of the most effective and
inexpensive ways to help maintain
equipment and produce quality
cards is to utilize a continuous
cleaning system. The Maxsys
System utilizes a single cleaning
module fitted with a cleaning tape
and cleaning roller combination to
continuously clean cards before they
enter a printing module.
To ensure you are using Datacard®Certified
Supplies, look for ribbons that feature our distinctive
and exclusive bluecores. Soon, all Datacard
ribbons will be sold with these cores.

Topping Module Supplies
Datacard’s high gloss and metallic
topping foils have been specially
formulated for superior abrasion
resistance and exceptional
durability. We design our foils
for easy release and clean, crisp
transfer to the embossed cards. This
advanced performance is critical
when running at high speeds. Foils
are available in a variety of colors,
with custom color matching services
available upon request.
Emboss/Indent
Module Supplies
Datacard®indent ribbon is a matte
stamping ribbon formulated for
stamping directly onto
vinyl/polystyrene cards and
signature panels. Indent ribbons
transfer by impact—no heat is
necessary. They have been designed
for excellent abrasion resistance,
with easy release capabilities for
clean, crisp transfer to the card.
Datacard®indent ribbons are
available in black and white, with
custom color matching services
available upon request.

Monochrome Ribbon: Includes Basic Ribbon Saver. System
can also recover the approximately 0.25 in. (6.4 mm) to
0.30 in. (7.6 mm) of unused ribbon that is unused between
printed cards, providing an 8 to 30% yield gain.
Basic Ribbon Saver:
Monochrome Ribbon: System can minimize
the advancement of the ribbon based on the
image’s horizontal size, but can not recover
unused ribbon between printed cards.

DataCard warrants that for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of DataCard’s shipment, all DataCard®supplies shall conform to DataCard’s published specifications
for such supplies and be free from defect in material and workmanship. DataCard’s warranty is conditioned upon its customer’s storage and use of the DataCard®supplies in
accordance with DataCard’s published recommendations. EXCEPT FOR THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, DATACARD HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER
WARRANTIES, EXPRESS AND IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE. DataCard’s sole obligation for breach of this warranty, and our customer’s exclusive remedy, shall be a credit or replacement of the quantity of the
DataCard®supplies that do not meet this warranty. In no event shall DataCard be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, even if DataCard has been
advised of the possibility of such damages.
*PRINTHEAD WARRANTY
DataCard warrants that its replacement printheads shall be free from defect in material and workmanship for the period of time specified in DataCard’s published
specifications. The warranty period shall commence on the date of installation of the printhead. This limited warranty does not cover printhead failure that results from
accident, abuse, misuse, unauthorized modification or maintenance to the printhead, printer or software, or the use of non-DataCard supplied peripherals, supplies, or software.
EXCEPT FOR THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, DATACARD HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS AND IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. DataCard's sole obligation for breach of this
warranty, and our customer's exclusive remedy, shall be a replacement of the defective printhead, or a refund of a pro-rated portion of the purchase price based on the
remaining term of the original warranty. A replacement printhead will carry the same warranty as a new printhead. DataCard reserves the right to inspect any printheads for
which warranty service is requested. In the event you believe a printhead is defective you should call your authorized DataCard®service provider for assistance. In no event
shall DataCard be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, even if DataCard has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
