Dear user of Danfoss Drives
You might have noticed that the delivery includes less printed user documentation than before,
please read this leaflet to learn more about this change.
Reduction in delivery of manuals
We aim to print fewer manuals. Starting on November 4, 2019, we will include less printed
documentation supplied with the drive. This will apply to VACON® 100 and VACON® NX products.
The deliveries will include the necessary documents for safe reception, installation and operation.
The application guides and guides for the options are available online. Please read this leaflet for
guidance on effectively finding all documentation on Danfoss.com.
Why are we doing this?
We would like to reduce the volume of printed manuals. Many of them are never used, and yet
their carbon footprint is significant. Consider all the aspects of manual creation and delivery which
use energy and resources: paper and printing, handling, packaging, transport, and ultimately,
disposal.
The new approach will reduce carbon footprint and minimize waste from throwing away excess
printed manuals, and it will reduce the number of manuals we need to print. Therefore, it’s a very
sustainable solution in line with our company goals of reducing environmental footprint.

On Danfoss.com you will always find the latest versions of our product guides. On the next pages
you will find the instructions for easy navigation and location of our electronic product guidance.
