Installation Instructions

The instructions provide information about the replacement of
the RFI auxiliary card in the VLT
Only Danfoss-authorised, qualified personnel is allowed to
repair this equipment. The personnel must be familiar with the
instructions and safety measures described in the
®
AutomationDrive FC 360 Service Manual.

1.1.3 Safety Instructions
WARNING
DISCHARGE TIME
The frequency converter contains DC-link capacitors, which
can remain charged even when the frequency converter is
not powered. Failure to wait the specified time after power
has been removed before performing service or repair work,
could result in death or serious injury.
1. Stop the motor.
2. Disconnect AC mains, permanent magnet type
motors, and remote DC-link power supplies,
including battery back-ups, UPS, and DC-link
connections to other frequency converters.
3. Wait for the capacitors to discharge fully, before
performing any service or repair work. The duration
of waiting time is specified in Table 1.1.

1.1.4 Installation
The RFI auxiliary card is located beneath the power control
card (enclosure type J7) or beneath the control card cassette
(enclosure type J6).
Replacing the RFI auxiliary card for enclosure type J6
1.
Follow the instructions in VLT
360Service Manual to remove the control card
cassette.
2. Remove the 8 M4x8 screws (T20, torque: 1.5 Nm) on
the RFI auxiliary card and remove the card.

Follow the instructions in the VLT

FC 360 Service Manual to remove the power control
card.

Follow the instructions in VLT
®
AutomationDrive FC
360 Service Manual (see the chapter on power card
replacement) to remove the power control card
mounting plate.
3. Remove the 8 screws (T20, M4x8, torque: initial 0.5
Nm; final 1.5 Nm) on the RFI auxiliary card, and
remove the RFI auxiliary card.
4. Install the new RFI auxiliary card in reverse order.
