Data Sheet
Manual Lever Operated DIrectional Valve
DG17V4-01*-N-10
The DG17V4-01*-N-10 is a manual lever operated direction control valve with 4 ports. The mounting interface is ISO-4401-05 (CETOP-5). The valve has three positions, controlled manually by shifting a lever. The valve has no-springs and is detented, thus it will remain in the last position attained, provided there is no severe shock, vibration or unusual pressure transients.

Technical data
Parameter Value
Maximum pressure P, A & B ports 315 bar [4569 psi] Maximum pressure T port 70 bar [1015 psi] Max oil flow 114 l/min [30 US gal/min] Oil temperature 20° to 50°C [68° to 122°F] Viscosity 15 to 51 cSt Cleanliness acc. ISO 4406 20/18/15 Handle shift force 20 N·m [1475 ft·lb]
Safe state
The safe state of the valve is attained by shifting the lever to the middle position, which is one among the three positions. It is to be noted that surges of oil in a common tank line serving these and other valves can be of sufficient magnitude to cause inadvertent shifting of these valves.
Valves must be installed with the longitudinal axis horizontal for best results.
Determination of MTTFd
Evaluation of Mean Time to Dangerous Failure (MTTFd) for DG17V4-01*-N-10 valve assembly is based on part count method and for each component based on “Good Engineering Practice Method” using annexure for assessments as per ISO 13849-2:2012.
