Installation Guide Danfoss Air Flex Roof Hood

1 Introduction

With a Danfoss Air Flex roof hood you do not have to worry about tile types, roof pitch , etc. The flexible"skirt" makes it possible to mount the hood on virtually all roof types (tar paper can be burned on the flexible skirt).
The unique shape of the hood and the 2-split construction allows adjustment from 0 to 50 degrees roof angle.
Note: Please check that the shipment is complete, and inspect that no parts have been damaged.

2 Placement of Roof Hoods

The recommended placement of the roof hoods are:
Horizontally: at least 3 m between inlet and outlet.
Vertically: at least 1 m between inlet and outlet, with outlet
on top.

3 Mounting

When placement of the roof hoods have been decided, remove the roof tile in that area.
Note: As shown in the picture, one tile must be adjusted, to ensure a firm base for the skirt and for the next tile.
Secure an adequate hole size and that the flexible "skirt" has sufficient overlap in order to provide for a watertight solution .
Furthermore, it is recommended to place the inlet roof hood on a north or east facing flat for the best comfort in operation of the system.
