OLS12A Campsite Locator Beacon System

OVERVIEW:

CYRON OLS12A Campsite Locator Beacon Light is primarily used for locating and differentiating your campsite. It emits
light in various colors & patterns to visually identify you and your location from others. Its visual signal can be identified
from miles away1. Flashing light modes can be a perfect tool for relaying a visual message, such as flashing red for
emergencies, green for call back to camp, or blue for when the meal is being served. Make your own designations, have
fun, and stay safe.

CAUTIONS:

Keep controller in dry location.
Do not attach flags, streamers or any other objects to the light stick.
Do not put extra force on clear lens or attempt to bend.
Do not over tighten the mounting bolts and studs.
Remove light before vehicle is underway.
Not intended for use as an off road whip light.
Do not submerge any part of this lighting system.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Connect Wires: CYRON Campsite Locator Light Beacon is provided with a 25ft extension cord. It should be

long enough to reach the top of most all flagpoles which are normally 22ft or less. Should longer cords be
needed, extra extension cords are available from CYRON, Inc. or your local CYRON dealer.

Connect light stick to extension cord. Press male & female ends completely together. Thread the retainer
ring. Do not over tighten. Connect other end of extension cord to the controller.

2. Mount Light Stick: Mount the light stick using the flagpole stud or through hole bolt. Do not over tighten.

3. Secure Wire: Secure wire at the top of flagpole with Velcro strap provided. NOTE: The strap is packaged

with the extension cord. This will provide a security should the light stick fall out for any reason. Remove
the light stick during extreme foul weather, thunderstorms or tornados. When mounting on a flagpole, wrap
the wire around the pole three turns to minimize slack in the wire.

4. Power source: Connect controller to a 12VDC source. Connect the wire with fuse holder to +12VDC. Connect the

other black wire (coming out of the box with the positive lead) to the -12VDC. Do not make any electrical connection
to the thin black lead. This is the antenna for the RF signal.

5. Controller Placement: You may choose to leave controller permanently connected to one the batteries on your vehicle.

In such case it is highly recommended to remove the fuse from fuse holder when CYRON system is not being used.
Keep controller out of dust, dirt, liquids and other elements. You may choose to better protect the controller by
wrapping electrical tape around the housing and wire openings.

Attach a small magnet to the back of the controller so you can simply place it on the underside of your trailer or coach
in case of rain. Don’t forget to remove controller before you get on the road!

6. Remote functions:

On/Off: Turn beacon light on & off
Modes: Cycles through various light modes. Take a moment and cycle

through all the modes to familiarize yourself with the sequence.
Speed: Change the speed of moving lights. NOTE: Works only when lights
are changing patterns.

CYRON OLS12A system is equipped with several flashing modes, including the
patriotic flash of red/blue/white. Flashing lights can be a perfect tool for relaying a
visual message, such as flashing red for emergencies, flashing green for call back
to camp, or flashing blue for when the meal is being served. Make your own
designations with the system modes.

WARRANTY

Cyron warrants this product against any defects in materials or workmanship for a period of ONE (1) year from the date of purchase. The warranty covers normal usage as intended by the factory and does
not cover misuse, abuse, accidents, or damages caused due to the acts of God. Proof of purchase is required.

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS
LIMITED WARRANTY, OTHERWISE THE REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE CONSUMER, AND IS PROVIDED IN
LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OF IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL CYRON, INC. BE LIABLE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT OR TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) FOR DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF THE
PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT, ACCESSORY OR FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, OR LOSS OF REVENUE OR PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS, OR
OTHER FINANCIAL LOSS ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE ABILITY OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCTS OR ACCESSORIES TO THE FULL EXTENT THESE DAMAGES MAY BE DISCLAIMED BY
LAW.
