Power On / Off the TV
Press the POWER button on the LCD TV or the POWER button on the remote control, the standby
indicator will light green.
To turn off the LCD TV
Press the POWER button on the LCD TV or the POWER button on the remote control, the standby
indicator will light red.
When you initially turn on the TV you will see the first time installation menu as below:
Ensure that the aerial is plugged into the TV,
Make sure your Remote is in TV mode (by
pressing button), switch on the TV by
pressing POWER. You will see the first time
installation menu.
Press the OK button on the remote control to
start the tuning procedure. This process will
find all available ATV and DTV channels and
store them.
By pressing the Quick Start button the first
time installation can be recalled at any time.

Basic Operation
Power on/off
1. Connect the TV to a mains power socket with the supplied power cord.
2. Activate the main power On/Off switch (located at the bottom right-hand corner of the TV).
Check that the LCD power indicator on the front panel glows red.
3. -To turn on the TV from standby:
Press the POWER button on the side panel of the TV, or use the
power button on the remote control.
-To return the TV to standby mode.
Press the POWER button again on the side panel of the TV or
remote control.

1. CHANNEL Menu

Auto Scan
Before you can receive any TV signals, the TV must
first scan through the available local channels and
store their settings.
Use the V cursor to select Auto Scan, then press the
OK button to enter the hint menu, and select the
Country and Tune Type mode for the TV, then
the
button to start auto tuning. You can select “ATV+

DTV” to tune both Analogue and Digital TV stations at the
same time. Once the TV has completed the Scan, all
receiveable TV stations will have been stored.
Note: The Auto Scan function will over-write all previously
stored TV stations.
DTV Manual Tuning

select a DTV channel, and press OK

Delete: Select a channel and press the RED button, “Delete” will appear on the right of the
program edit menu next to the channel you have chosen, then press the RED button
again and the program will be deleted. However if you decide not to continue to delete
press the menu button to quit.
Move: Select a channel, and press the YELLOW button, then you can use the
buttons to change the position of the program, then press the YELLOW again to confirm
the change. Press the menu button to exit and it will automatically save the current setting.
Skip: Select a channel and press the BLUE button to label the channel, as long as the
channel has a skip label it will be skipped when searching through the channels with
the CH+/- buttons.
Rename: Select an ATV channel and press the GREEN button to change the name of the
channel by using the
FAV: Select a program, press FAV button to set or delete the program as the favorite
channel.

Displays the signal information in DTV (digital TV) mode only.
Software Update (USB)
WARNING: Do not attempt to use this option unless you have a valid software program for the
GE6805 TV stored on a compatible USB drive, and the drive is connected to the TV.
Please remove the antenna wire from the TV RF port, go to the Channel Menu, select Software
Update (USB) and press OK to run the software update.
Once the software update is finished, you need to turn off the TV and turn on the TV again to
activate the new software.

2. PICTURE Menu
Description
OSD Menu
Picture Mode: Choose from Standard, Dynamic, User and Mild.
Note: Contrast, Brightness, Color and Sharpness are only available and can be adjusted in
the User mode option in the Picture Mode Settings.
Contrast: Controls the difference between the brightest and darkest regions of the picture.
Brightness: Controls the overall brightness of the picture.
Color: Controls the color.
Sharpness: Increase this setting to see crisp edges in the picture; decrease it for soft edges.
Color Temperature: Choose from Medium, Cool, User and Warm. When the User mode is
selected, the individual intensity of each colour (Red, Green, Blue) can be adjusted.
Red: Controls the red colour of the picture.
Green: Controls the green colour of the picture.
Blue: Controls the blue colour of the picture.
Aspect Ratio: Choose from 4:3, 16:9, Zoom1, Zoom2 and Panorama.
Note: The aspect ratio modes you can select will vary according to the input source.
Noise Reduction: Choose interference noise modes from Off, Low, Middle, High and Default.
Screen (PC mode only):
“PC”, and an analogue VGA signal is present at the VGA input socket of the TV.

Balance: To adjust the balance of the left and right sound track, or turn off the volume of the

SPDIF MODE: Allows you to select among settings for the digital audio output socket: Off, PCM
and Auto.

4. TIME Menu

Clock: Use the and buttons to select the position, and use the and buttons to set the
time.
Note: User can not change time manually during DTV reception, as the time setting is taken
from the TV signal source directly.
Off Time: Press the OK button to enter the submenu where you can set the time when the TV set will
be turned off automatically. You can also set the frequency.
On Time: Press the OK button to enter the submenu where you can set the time when the TV set will
be turned on automatically. You can also set the frequency, volume and program.
Sleep Timer: Allows you to setup the sleep timer among: 10min, 20min, 30min, 60min, 90min,
120min,180min, 240min and OFF.
Auto Sleep:
Turn on/off the auto standby function.
No Action Auto Standby: According to the latest ERP regulation, this unit will switch off itself
automatically if no change in status within the last 4 hours of operation.
Time Zone: Allows you to select the appropriate world time zone for your location.

6. LOCK Menu
Description

No Lock
Lock System: Turn on/off the Lock System function.
Note: You must enter the current PIN code to operate this menu. The original code is 0000.
Set Password: Set a new PIN code. If the PIN code has been changed you must enter the present
code first, then proceed to changing the PIN.
New : Enter the new password.
Confirm: Enter the new password.
Block Program: In the Lock Channel mode, you have to enter the PIN code to view a blocked
channel. To set a Block on a specific DTV channel, use the and buttons to select the
channel, and press the GREEN button on the remote control to
lock the channel.
A padlock symbol will appear
against each locked channel.
To unlock a blocked channel,

Parental Guidance: Allows you to select the Parental Guidance mode. During DTV TV reception,

1. Photo
Play the photo files
Press / button to select the option on the table, and press OK button to change.

Music: Play/pause the music program (you can only play or pause the music you have selected).
Playlist: Display the playlist on the screen, and you can select the photo using the / buttons, and press OK button to program. Press / button to return to the options table.

Rotate: Rotate the photo clockwise/counterclockwise.

If the display fails or performance dramatically deteriorates check the Display in accordance
with the following instructions.Remember to check the peripherals topinpiont the source of the
failure.
If the display still fails to perform as expected,connect your helpline for assistance.
No power
- Check all connections to the TV.
- Press either the power button or the Standby button on the Remote control.
No picture or sound
- Ensure that the TV is plugged in and the power is on.
- Ensure that the aerial is connected.
- Try a different program.
Poor picture quality
- Check the aerial connections.
- Check that the channel is tuned in properly.
- Adjust the picture settings:brightness,color,sharpness,contrast,hue.
- Make sure that the TV is not located close to electrical appliances that may emit radio
frequency interference.
No colour
- Adjust the color setting.
- Check that the programme is broadcast in color.
- Check that the channel is tuned properly.
TV does not respond to remote control
- Check that there are no obstructions between the remote control and the unit.
