11. Grounding or Polarization - This product may be equipped with a polarized alternating-current line plug (a plug having
one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you
are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet try reversing the plug, If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your
electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
12. Power - Cord Protection - Power - supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to
be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to

unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect
the antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power - line surges.

light or power circuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system,
extreme care should be taken to keep from touching such power lines or circuits as contact with them might be fatal.

4Remove plastic safety cover from A/C plug.
5Remove tie from A/C cord and untie antenna
wire on back of radio.
6Open lid and remove styrofoam shipping
material from turntable.
7Remove black tie-wrap from under the tone
arm.

1 Install 2 AAA batteries (not included) in remote
control.
2 Plug A/C cord into appropriate outlet.

8Remove white protective needle cover by gently
pulling towards the front of the unit.
3 Untie the FM antenna and allow it to hang down
in a straight line for optimum FM reception. If
you have trouble tuning in an FM station, move
the external FM antenna for best reception. Do
not connect FM antenna to outside antenna.

Basic Operation
Power Up Your Crosley
1Your new Crosley is equipped with a POWER
button and a STANDBY button. When you first
plug your radio in, push the POWER button in.
Doing this will turn on a red light right above the
POWER button. Y ou should leave this buttonpushed in at all times. Turning off the main
power will erase all settings and stations you
have programmed into your radio.
2Once the red light is on, press the STANDBY
button. This will turn the red light to green. Your
radio is now ready to operate. Use the STANDBY
button to turn the power on or off. When the
radio is on standby, all the stations and presets
will remain stored.

1Press the VOL+ button to increase the volume.
The volume level will be shown in the LCD
display.

1Press the TUNER button to enable the AM/ FM
tuning function. When in tuner mode, the LCD
will display the band (AM/FM), and the station
frequency.

2Press the CD button to set to CD mode. When
first set to CD mode, the display will search for
CD and track information.

When in phono mode, the display will read
“LINE”.

Note: Volume range for some units may start
at level 15 and end at level 40.
2Press the VOL- button to decrease the volume.
3Press and hold either the VOL+ or the VOL-
button to continuously increase or decrease the
volume. The volume will continue to increase
or decrease until the button is released.
4Press the MUTE button to set the volume to 0.
Press the MUTE button again to return to the
previous volume level.
4Press the TAPE button to set to cassette mode.
The display will read “TAPE” when in cassette
mode.

1Y our radio has a built in equalizer. The equalizer
fine tunes the sound according to the type of
music you like. Pressing the EQ button results
in the following changes:

Note: The type of reception bands, the frequency
step, and the upper and lower limits of the
receiving frequency are dependent on the
specifications of the different areas.
1Press the TUNER button on the control panel
to enable the tuner.
2Once in tuner mode, press the TUNER button
again to select the desired band (FM/AM).

3To change stations, push the FORWARD SKIP
button to scan up, or the BACKWARD SKIP
button to scan down. This radio is also equipped
with an auto search function, which will
automatically tune in to available stations. To
use this function, simply press and hold the
FORWARD SKIP or BACKWARD SKIP button
(about 1 second) until the display starts searching
for stations. Now the radio will stop on the next
station that it can tune in.
Note: If the FORWARD or BACKWARD skip
buttons are pushed during autosearch,
the searching will stop at that point.
4To manually search for a station, push the
FORWARD or BACKWARD skip button one
press at a time until the desired station is found.
Presetting Stations
1 You can store up to 20 FM stations and 12 AM
stations into the preset memory.
2 To program a preset, begin by tuning the radio
to a desired station by using either auto or manual
search.

3 Once a desired channel is located, press the
MEMORY button one time. You will see (--)
flashing on the right side of the display.

4 Press the REPEAT button to select the desired
preset number. The preset number will increase
by one each time it is pressed. Example: The
first time the REPEAT button is pressed, you
will see a “1”. Press the button twice and a “2”
will display. The number you select will be the
number of the preset for the selected station.

5In FM mode, there will be a “stereo” displayed
on the LCD when a station broadcasting in stereo
is received.

5 Press MEMORY one last time and the selected
station is stored.

6 Repeat steps 2 - 5 until all desired stations have
been programmed.
7 Once all of the desired stations have been
programmed, press the REPEAT button to select
presets.
8 Do not turn off the power. This will erase all the
presets.

Turntable & Cassette Player
Setting Turntable Speed
1Press the PHONO button on the control panel
to set the turntable mode. If playing a 45 rpm
record, use the 45 rpm adapter supplied with
the turntable.
2Use the speed selector on the turntable to set
the rpm to the appropriate speed for the selected
record.
Playing a Record
1Making sure to remove the white protective
needle cover is removed, gently lift the tone arm
off its rest.
2Move the tone arm slowly to the right side until
you hear a click. The turntable should start
turning once the click is heard.
Playing a Cassette
1Press the TAPE button on the control panel to
set the cassette mode.
2Insert tape into the cassette player on the right
side of your radio.
3It will begin to play as soon as cassette is loaded
into the cassette player.
4To fast forward during play, press the cassette
EJECT button half way in. This will start fastforwarding through the tape. To stop fast
forwarding, slightly press the EJECT button and
release.
5To eject the tape, press the EJECT button all
the way in until it stops. The tape will eject.
3Move the tone arm to the left and lower it gently
onto the record to start playing.
4At the end of the record, the turntable will stop
turning.
5Lift the tone arm from the record and return it
to the arm rest.

CD Player
Playing a CD
1To load a CD, press the OPEN/CLOSE button
one time. This will open the CD drawer.

7To repeat playback of a single track or the whole
disk, press the REPEAT button. Pressing this
button once will repeat only the selected track
and a plashing "repeat" will appear on the display .
Pressing the repeat button twice will repeat the
whole CD when it reaches the end and repeat
will appear but will not flash. Pressing repeat a
third time will turn off the repeat function.
2Load the desired CD with the label facing up.
Press the OPEN/CLOSE button once more to
close the CD drawer. Once closed, the CD player
will begin to read the track information. When
finished reading, the display will read “DISC.”
Track information will include the total playing
time of CD and the number of tracks on the CD.

playback. Playback will start at the beginning of
track 1.

8To stop playback, press the STOP button.
9While playback is stopped, you can press the
INTRO button to play the first 10 seconds of
each track.
4To skip to a different track, press the FORWARD
SKIP or BACKWARD SKIP button until you
reach the desired track number. Each press will
change the track number by one. Pressing
FORWARD SKIP will advance forward from
track to track. Pressing the BACKWARD SKIP
button will skip backwards from track to track.
5To fast forward during playback, press and hold
the FORWARD SKIP button. Fast forwarding
stops when the button is released. To rewind
(reverse) playback, press and hold the
BACKWARD SKIP button.
6To pause playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE
button. To continue playback, press the
PLAY/PAUSE button once more.

Programming Your CD Player
1In CD mode with a CD inserted and play stopped,
press the MEMORY button one time.

2Select a track you would like to program by using
the FORWARD or BACKWARD skip buttons.

3Once you have selected a track, press the
MEMORY button once more. That track is now
stored in the memory.

Optional External Speakers
1With your new radio, you have the option of
adding external speakers.
2The speaker jacks for external speakers are
located on the back of the radio. Along with the
speaker jacks is a switch labeled int./ ext. When
using external speakers, this switch must be
switched to the ext. position. Doing this turns
off the internal speakers in the radio and redirects
the power to the external speakers.
3If you decide not to use the external speakers,
be sure the switch is on int. or the internal
speakers will not work.

4You can program up to 16 tracks in the memory.
Repeat steps 1 - 3 to program selected tracks.
5When all desired tracks are programmed, press
the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback. The
programmed tracks will play in the order in which
they were programmed.
6To clear the programming, press the MEMORY
button one time and then press the STOP button
one time. This will clear the programming. The
programming will also be cleared if the CD
drawer is opened, the power is turned off, or if
the radio is unplugged.

Trouble Shooting
General
There is no power
1Make sure radio is plugged in correctly.
2Look at the STANDBY light and check to see
if it is red.
3If the STANDBY light is not red, check the
POWER button to make sure that it is pushed
in and the main POWER is on.
4If the red light is on, press the STANDBY button.
Pressing the STANDBY button should turn the
red light to green.
There is no sound
1Make sure the mute function is turned off.
2Check that the volume is turned up by pressing
VOL+ button on the control panel or on the
remote.
Note: Volume range on some units start at level
15 and ends at level 40.
Turntable will not work
1Check that the radio is in phono mode.
2Try moving the tone arm to the right until you
hear a click.
Presets will not stay programmed
1Make sure that when you turn off the radio, you
do not press the POWER button to do so.
2Use the STANDBY button or the POWER button
on the remote to turn the power off.
3Make sure ext./int. switch on back of radio is
on int. (unless you are using external speakers,
in which case it should be on ext.)
4Check to make sure power is turned on.
CD does not play
1Check to make sure CD is inserted correctly
(label side facing up).
2Check to see that surface of CD is clean.
3Make sure radio is on CD function by pressing
CD on the control panel.
Remote not working
1Replace batteries.
2Be sure to point the remote towards remote
sensor when operating.
3Remove obstacles in the path of the remote and
the radio so the remote signal has a straight
path to the radio.

LIMITED MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY
Crosley Radio, Inc. warrants the product to be free from defects in material and
workmanship under normal use for a period of one year from the original date of
purchase. This warranty is not transferable. If the product is determined to be defective
during the warranty period, the unit will be repaired or replaced at Crosley Radio’s sole
discretion. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and normal consumer use and
does NOT cover damage or failure as a result of abuse, accident, alterations, misuse,
neglect, abnormal wear and tear , inadequate maintenance, commercial or unreasonable
use, damage caused by power surges, mishandling, accident, acts of God or attempted
repair by an unauthorized service agent. Also not covered are cosmetic damages,
cords and antennas.
Should this product fail to function in a satisfactory manner, it is best to first return it
to the store or retailer where it was originally purchased. If additional service is still
needed, the original purchaser must FIRST contact our offices to obtain an RA (Return
Authorization) Number.
