Triamese Cable for TPS/Tilt Panel
Triamese Cable for TPS/Tilt Panel:
TPS-CBL-T3/6/9
Description
Functional Description
The TPS-CBL-T3/6/9 Triamese (three shielded cables joined together)
cable is an optional feature designed for Crestron’s Isys™ TPS-5000 and
TPS-6000 tilt touchpanels. The Triamese cable is used for connection to
touchpanel NET/VIDEO, RGB video, and AUDIO ports and are
available in 3-, 6-, and 9-foot versions.
When a TPS touchpanel is equipped with optional TPS-VID Video Card
and TPS-XVGA-BV RGB Computer Interface Card with Balanced
Video, individual cables (including a cable for the audio input) are
required. The Triamese cable minimizes the number of individual cables
attached to the touchpanel. Supplied with the TPS-XVGA-BV card is a
TPS-IMC-BV Interface Module that serves as an interface between the
touchpanel and the video source computer and/or the Crestron remote
control system (herein referred to as the Cresnet system). Also supplied
with the TPS-XVGA-BV is a 15-foot (4.57 meter) Triamese cable. The
TPS-CBL-T3/6/9 cable is available to provide optional lengths.
NOTE: For general information about the TPS-IMC-BV, consult its
Operations Guide (Doc. 5921). The latest revision can be obtained from
the Products page (PRODUCT MANUALS section, hardware section) or
Downloads page (MANUAL Library) of Crestron’s website

The TPS-CBL-T3/6/9 Triamese cable contains two 10-pin plugs for
NET/VIDEO, two 10-pin plugs for RGB video, and two 8-pin plugs for
AUDIO connections. For descriptions of the Triamese cables, refer to the
diagram below.

NOTE: When connecting the video and RGB video from the
TPS-XVGA-BV Interface Module to the touchpanel, exceeding cable
lengths of 30-feet will significantly degrade the signals. To maintain highquality images, DO NOT daisy-chain cables, Crestron TPS-BLOCK
devices or fabricate cables longer than 30-feet. For further information
about TPS-BLOCK devices, consult an appropriate installation guide that
can be obtained from the Products page (PRODUCT MANUALS section,
