Desk Component.

Panel
1 A. Insert 6 cam screws and 4 wood dowels in the
desk side panel. Secure, but do not over tighten cam
screws with a phillips head screwdriver.
B. Insert 3 cam screws in the desk short side panel and
secure with a screwdriver.
C. Insert 7 cam screws in the desk top panel and secure
with a screwdriver.

2 A. Insert 2 wood dowels and 4 cams into the desk back
panel. Make sure the arrow on each cam points towards the
nearest edge.
B. Insert 6 cams into the desk bottom panel.
C. Insert 3 cams and 2 wood dowels into the desk side
panel.
D. Insert 3 cams and 4 wood dowels into the desk short
side panel.

Note: This is the front of the
assembly. Make sure pre-installed
drawer pulls out in this direction.
3 A. Fit desk short side panel onto desk bottom
panel as shown, aligning cam screws with corresponding
holes.
B. Secure panels by turning each cam clockwise with a
phillips head screwdriver until each cam securely
engages each cam screw.

4 Fit panel assembly onto cam screws of desk side panel
as shown. Secure panels by turning each cam clockwise
with a phillips head screwdriver until each cam securely
engages each cam screw.

5 A. Fit cam screws of desk side panel into
corresponding holes in desk back panel. Secure all 3
cams with a screwdriver.
B. Fasten top of desk back panel to bottom shelf with
1 large screw. Fully tighten with the large allen
wrench.

6 A. Fit cam screws of desk top panel into
corresponding holes in side panels. Secure all 6 cams
with a screwdriver.
C. Conceal all exposed cams with cam covers.
7 With the assistance of another adult, place desk
component onto file component as shown.
Assembly is now complete.

CLEANING AND CARE
Clean surfaces with a dry or damp soft cloth. Do not use
abrasive cleaners. Do not use furniture wax or polish as the
wood is finished with a protective clear lacquer.

The Puzzle Desk consists of 2 separate
components, the File and the Desk. The
following instructions are for assembly of the
File Component.

1 A. Insert 3 cam screws, 3 cams and 2 wood dowels into file right side
panel as shown.
B. Insert 9 cam screws, 3 cams and 2 wood dowels into file left side panel.
C. Insert 4 cam screws, 6 cams and 4 wood dowels into file top panel.
D. Insert 10 cam screws into the file bottom panel.
E. Insert 6 cams,4 wood dowels and 3 cam screws into the file interior
panel.
F. Insert 6 cams and 4 wood dowels into the file shelf.

2 Fit file shelf onto cam screws of the file interior panel.
Secure each cam by turning clockwise with a phillips head
screwdriver until each cam securely engages each cam
screw.

3 With the assistance of another adult, fit
panel onto the assembly, aligning cam screws and
corresponding holes in desk interior panel. Secure all
cams with a screwdriver.

4 A. Insert 6 wood dowels and 5 cams into the file back
panel as shown. Make sure arrows on each cam point
towards nearest edge with holes.
B. Turn file back panel over and fit into corresponding
holes in file top panel as shown. Secure cam by turning
clockwise with a phillips head screwdriver.

5 Fit cam screws of file left side panel into corresponding
holes in the assembly. Lock all 9 cams by turning clockwise
with a phillips head screwdriver.

6 Fit cam screws of file right side panel into
corresponding holes on the assembled unit. Secure 3
cams with a phillips head screwdriver.

7 A. Insert 2 cams into the foot stretcher and 1 cam
screw into each foot panel. Make sure unfinished edges of
each panel faces “up” as shown. Fit cam screws of foot
panels into ends of foot stretcher and secure each cam with
a phillips head screwdriver.
B. Insert 4 cam screws into underside of file bottom panel
as shown. Insert 4 cams and 4 wood dowels into the foot
panels. Fit cam screws of bottom panel into holes on foot
panels and secure each cam with a screwdriver.

8 Fit file bottom panel onto the underside of the
assembly as shown, aligning the dowels and cam screws
with corresponding holes. Secure 10 cams with a phillips
head screwdriver.

9 Attach 1 drawer glide to the file left side panel and 1
drawer glide to the file interior panel with 2 small wood
screws per glide. Make sure the final installed
position of the glide is approximately 3/4” from the
front edge of each panel as illustrated.

10 A. Attach right and left small drawer sides to small
drawer back with 4 bolts as shown. Secure, but do not
over tighten with the small allen wrench.
B. Slide small drawer bottom into slot at bottom of
back and side panels.

11 A. Fit small inner drawer front onto assembly as
shown. Attach with 4 bolts from the sides and secure with
the small allen wrench.
B. Align holes small drawer front panel with holes on
assembly. Insert 2 machine screws through drawer fronts
and into 1 drawer pull. Secure with a phillips head
screwdriver.

12 A. Attach right and left large drawer sides to large
drawer back with 4 bolts as shown.
B. Slide large drawer bottom into slot at bottom of
back and side panels.

13 A. Fit large inner drawer front onto assembly as shown.
Attach with 4 bolts and secure with the small allen wrench.
B. Align holes large drawer front with holes on assembly.
Insert 2 machine screws through drawer fronts and into 1
drawer pull. Secure with a phillips head screwdriver.
Finalize drawer front attachment with 2 large wood screws
from underside of drawer box front.

14 A. Insert small drawer assembly into the case
as shown, fitting wheels of drawer glides into rails of
case glides.
B. Fully extend ball bearing glides for large drawer.
Align glides on drawer sides with glides installed in
case. Applying firm, even pressure, push large
drawer into assembly until it fits flush with the front
of the case.

15 A. Determine if you want to use standard or legal size
hanging files. Fit 2 file support rails in the appropriate
slots as illustrated above.
B. Conceal all exposed cams with cam covers.

16 With the assistance of another adult, place desk
component onto file component as shown.
Assembly is now complete.
