PARALLEL BOOKCASE
Thank you for purchasing the Parallel Bookcase. This
page lists all the contents included in the box. Please
take time to identify the hardware as well as the individual
components of this product. As you unpack and prepare
for assembly, place the contents on a carpeted or padded
area to protect them from damage.
Note: 2 people are required to safely assemble this
product.

1 With the assistance of another adult, position back frame
and 1 side frame as shown. Loosely attach 2 frames with 5
allen head screws. Do not fully tighten screws.

2 Attach remaining side frame with 5 allen head
screws. Do not fully tighten the screws.
4 With the assistance of another adult, lift frame
assembly into an upright position. Fit slots on the
underside of the 5 shelves onto corresponding pins on
the side and back frames and press firmly into position.

3 Insert 1 tube cap into the open end of each leg. If
necessary, gently tap each tube cap into position with a
hammer.

NOTE:
Do not over tighten the
screws.
5 Secure each shelf into position by inserting 1 short
wood screw through each peg of the side frames and into
the shelf above. Fully tighten with a phillips head
screwdriver.
At this point fully tighten all allen head screws from Steps
1 & 2 with the allen wrench.

OPTIONAL WALL ATTACHMENT:
These instructions are for drywall mounting only. For
safe mounting it is essential to use the proper hardware for
your wall type. Be sure to consult your local hardware store
to determine the hardware needed for your wall (plaster,
drywall, concrete, etc.) This product is only deterrent. It is
not a substitute for proper adult supervision.
6 A. Attach 1 metal bracket to the back of the bookcase as
shown. Secure with 1 short machine screw.
B. With the assistance of another adult, place bookcase in
desired location against the wall. Mark the location of the hole in
the bracket on the wall. Move bookcase out of the workspace.
C. Attach 1 metal bracket to the wall, lining up mark on wall with
hole in bracket. Secure to wall with 1 long wood screw,
preferably into a wall stud.
D. Place bookcase back into position against the wall and thread
the wall strap through both brackets and pull until tight.

CLEANING AND CARE
Clean surfaces with a dry or damp soft cloth. Do not use
abrasive cleaners. Do not use furniture wax or polish as the
wood is finished with a protective clear lacquer.
