2. Gentlyflipthedeckovertoexposeits underside.

3. Placea blockofwoodbetweenthedeckhousingbaffleand
thecuttingbladeto actasastabilizer,thenusea wrenchto

removethehexflangenutthat secureseachbladeto itsspindle

assembly.SeeFig.1-2.

IMPORTANT:The hexflangenutshavea right-handed(normal)
threadpattern.DoNOTattempttoforcethe nutsinthe opposite
direction.Doingsomaydamagethenut.

4. Replacethebladeswiththebladesincludedinthekit.Besureto

installeachbladewiththesidemarked"Bottom"(orwitha part
numberstampedinit) facingthe groundwhenthe moweris in

theoperatingposition.

IMPORTANT:Usea torquewrenchtotighteneachbladespindle'shex
flangenut to between70ft-lband90 if-lb.

tractorona firmand levelsurface,setthe parkingbrake,

placethe PTOin the disengaged(OFF)position,stopthe

tractor'sengineandremovetheignitionkeytoprevent

unintendedstarting.

1. Securethepinto the deckwiththe flangenut.SeeFig,1-3.

Insertthe mulchplugintothedeckdischargeopeningbyfitting
thetabson the upperedgeofthemulchpluginsidetheslots
foundonthedischargechute(B)and pivotingthemulchplug
downwardintoplace.

Securethe mulchplugassemblyin placeby attachingitsstrapto
thepin.SeeFig.1-5.
