Removingthe DischargeChute

1. Removethewing knobsthat securethedischargechuteinplace.See
Figure1.

2. Removethedischargechutefromthedeckdischargeopeningbylifting
it offthe deck.

Neverattempt to operatethe mowerwith the dischargechute,the
mulchplug,or agrasscollection systemproperlyinplace.

Installingthe MulchPlug

1.

Installthe mulchplugintothedeckdischargeopeningonthedeck.The
studsonthedecksurfacewill fit throughtheholesontheupperportion
ofthe mulchplug.Thesmalltabonthedecklipareawillfit throughthe
squarecutoutonthelowerportionofthe mulchplug.SeeFigure2.

Note:Makecertainthattheupper-rearportionofmulchplugis
depressingthesafetyswitchlocatedonthedecksurface.SeeFigure2
InsetA.Theenginewill notstartwithoutthemulchplugproperlyin
place.
