thecuttingbladeto actas a stabilizer,thenusea wrenchto

removethehexflangenutthat secureseachbladeto itsspindle

assembly,SeeFig,1-2,

IMPORTANT:The hexflangenutshavea right-handed(normal)
threadpattern.DoNOTattempttoforcethenutsinthe opposite
direction.Doingsomaydamagethenut.

4. Replacethebladeswiththebladesincludedinthekit. Besureto
installeachbladewiththesidemarked"Bottom"(orwitha part
numberstampedinit)facingthe groundwhenthe mowerisin

theoperatingposition.

IMPORTANT:Usea torquewrenchtotighteneach bladespindle'shex
flangenut tobetween70ft-lband90 ft-lb.

tractorona firmand levelsurface,settheparkingbrake,

placethe PTOinthe disengaged(OFF)position,stopthe

tractor'sengineandremovetheignitionkeytoprevent

unintendedstarting.

1. Securethepintothe deckwiththeflangenut.SeeFig,1-3.

Liftthedischargechuteup (A).SeeFig. 1-4.

Insertthe mulchplugintothedeckdischargeopeningbyfitting
thetabson the upperedgeofthe mulchpluginsidetheslots
foundonthe dischargechute(B)and pivotingthemulchplug
downwardintoplace.

Securethe mulchplugassemblyin placeby attachingitsstrapto
thepin. SeeFig.1-5.

propped-upsothatthe operatorcanmoreeasilymaneuverthe

tractor'sdecknearandaroundtreesandotherobstacles.
