5. Voice Active
• When Voice Active is ON, iAUDIO pauses recording automatically when there is no sound input, and resumes when sound is detected. This feature is very useful to save memory.
• You can choose a number between 0 and 10. A smaller value is more sensitive to sound. If this value is set too high compared to the surrounding noise, the sensitivity of iAUDIO drops, causing it to remain in Recording Standby status. Therefore, be sure to set this value to 0 (OFF) when recording for an important occasion.
6. Line Volume
• Adjust the input volume level (recording level) of the Line-in input.
• This level depends on your external audio source. Try and test various values before starting actual recording.
7. Auto Sync
• When Auto Sync is ON, iAUDIO detects the sound input from the Line-in input and recognizes blanks between tracks to save the tracks separately as individual les.
• This level depends on your external audio source. Try and test various values before starting actual recording.

Replace the battery with a new one. iAUDIO does not work if the battery is weak.
Remove the battery and insert it again. Check if contact areas of the battery are clean.
There is no sound.
Make sure that MP3/WMA les are stored in iAUDIO.
iAUDIO does not start playback if there is no MP3/WMA les in memory.
Check if the HOLD button is set to ON. If it is, set the HOLD button to OFF and try again.
Buttons are inoperative when HOLD is ON.

Troubleshooting
Symptom Remedy Explanation
iAUDIO works abnormally or does not play when memory is full.
Initialize iAUDIO and leave a free space of 1-2 MB, then try again.
An important system le, "settings.dat" is saved in the Root folder of the Flash memory. When this le is not saved properly, or deleted, or damaged during le transfer, iAUDIO may not work normally.
iAUDIO works abnormally or does not play when hundreds of les are saved in Root folder.
Create subfolders under the Root folder, and save les to subfolders.
iAUDIO uses FAT. Owing to the limitations of FAT, you are advised not to save many les in the root directory.
When JetShell is running, it controls the iAUDIO. Make sure to exit JetShell before performing the following tasks:
• Installing iAUDIO's USB driver
• Formatting iAUDIO in Windows Explorer
• Upgrading iAUDIO's rmware
