General safety instructions

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and

knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not
be made by children without supervision.

• The lawnmower should only be used as described in theinstruction manual.

• Remember that it is theuser who is ultimately responsible for any accidents or
hazards that cause possible injury to others and to property.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,

its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• The lawnmower should be connected to amains outlet protected by a30 mA RCD.

• Never use thelawnmower when you are tired, sick, under theinfluence of alcohol
or medicine.

Pre-work safety precautions

manual. Checkfor any local regulations that may stipulate aminimum operating age.

animals.

• Always use appropriately designed footwear and long trousers. Neveruse
thelawnmower while barefoot or wearing open-toed sandals.

• Never wear loose-fitting clothing or clothes which have any loose hanging straps,
bands, etc.

• Always inspect thearea to be cut before mowing. Removeany objects from
themowing area that can be thrown by themower.

• Make sure that themower is completely assembled and that all parts are whole
and functioning normally before commencing work.

• Check that all cables are whole and undamaged. Checkthecondition of thefixed
mains cable leading from themains socket to themotor is whole and undamaged.

• Never use themower if any of its cables or connections is damaged.

• Make sure that all screws and bolts are properly tightened and that all safety
devices are in place before commencing work.

Operating safety precautions

• This mower is designed exclusively for mowing domestic lawns.

• Only use themower during daylight hours or under good lighting conditions.

• The lawnmower should only be connected to a230–240 V, 50 Hz mains outlet
protected by a30 mA RCD.

• Avoid cutting wetgrass.

• Always cut at aneasy pace. Donothurry.

• Be extra careful when cutting on slopes.

• Always cut across slopes. Neverup anddown.

• Always be extra careful when changing directions on aslope.

• Never cut on steep slopes.

• Always be extra careful when backing or pulling themower towards yourself.

• Always turn off themower and pull theplug from mains outlet whenever crossing
other surfaces, such as gravel, asphalt, etc.

• Never use themower if any part of thebody has been damaged. Neveruse
themower without having thecollector attached.

• Make sure that themower stands steady on all four wheels before starting.
Keephands and feet away from therotating blades at alltimes.

• Turn off themower and pull out theplug from thewall socket, whenever taking
apause fromwork.

Assembly

Wheels

ENGLISH

1. Screw thewheels onto themower in
thedesired cutting height position.
Thecutting height is regulated by wheel
position. Makesure that all thewheels are
mounted at thesame height and position.

Handle assembly

1. Insert thebottom handle into
thechassis’ tube guides.

2. Tighten thehubcaps by turning
them clockwise to fasten
thewheels securely.

2. Secure thebottom handle with
thesupplied screws.

3. Line up thetop handle’s bolt holes to thebottom handle’s bolt holes and fasten
thetwo parts using thesupplied bolts and wingnuts.

Controller and cable bracket

ENGLISH

1. Press thecontrol bracket’s plugs into thetop handle’s insertion holes.

2. Close thebracket shut and fasten it
with thesupplied screws.

3. Fasten themotor cable to
thehandle using thesupplied clips.

Grass collector

1. Assemble thegrass collector by fitting thetwo halves together and ensuring that
thesnap lugs lock intoplace.

2. Lift thesafety flap and latch on
thecollector.

Mowing

Emptying the grass collector

1. Turn off themower and pull out theplug from thewall socket.

2. Lift thesafety flap and detach thecollector.

3. Empty thegrass and clean thedischarge chute from any excessive grass and debris.
Useaproper tool for cleaning thechute. Neveruse your hands orfeet.

4. Lift thesafety flap and reattach thecollector.

Storage and maintenance

• Note: Turnoff themower, pull out theplug and let it cool before carrying out any
service or maintenance.

• Inspect thelawnmower regularly to make sure that all bolts and nuts are tight and
that there is no visible damage.

• Regular checks should be made to ensure that themower is always in good
running condition.

• Repairs must only be carried out by qualified service technicians and only using
genuine spare parts.

• Always keep theblade and blade housing free and clear of grass and debris to
ensure optimal performance.

• Check thecondition of theblades regularly for any signs of damage.

Blade removal

Note: Makesure themower is off, pull out theplug and let it cool before attempting to
remove theblade. Wearprotective gloves.

1. Lay themower on its side and loosen
theblade’s retaining nuts using
anappropriate tool. Check theblade’s
condition and sharpen it when required.

3. Screw on thelocking nut and tighten it securely.

2. Reattach theblade, making sure

that theblade fits snugly onto
thespindle’s retaining pins.

Storage

• Make sure themower is off, pull out theplug and let it cool before storing.

• Clean themower thoroughly and check for any signs of visible damage.

• Check that all screws, bolts, nuts, etc are adequately tightened.

• Store themower in adry, sheltered place out of thereach of children.
