opening or hose.

10. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used
or where oxygen is being administered.

11. Do not use an extension cord with this
appliance.

12. Do not touch metal “radiator” strips that
hold rollers, as they will be hot.

INSTRUCTIONS

How to operate your hairsetter

1. Place hairsetter on a firm, flat surface. With
the lid closed, plug cord into outlet. This
appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature.

2. Once plugged in, turn the unit on by sliding
the switch to the on position. The red light will
go on, the rollers will heat up quickly and the
ionic energy will be automatically activated
(please refer to HOW TO CURL YOUR HAIR for
further instruction).

3. Allow rollers to heat with lid closed, as this
will provide the fastest, most efficient heat­up. Once the rollers are hot, you can begin
setting your hair. Allow rollers to heat lon­ger for tighter curls. Never leave your hair­setter on and unattended. Always unplug
the hairsetter when not in use. Allow the
hairsetter to cool down after use, and store
in a safe place.

4. Hair should be clean and dry or slightly damp
– never wet when setting.

USER MAINTENANCE

Your hairsetter is designed for household use
and is virtually maintenance-free. This product
represents the highest standards of workman­ship and engineering research. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance
from the power source. Allow the setter to cool.
Clean the unit and the heating posts with a
cloth. (Occasionally you may want to clean your
rollers. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent or
soap.) If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug
the hairsetter, allow it to cool, and return it to an
authorized service representative for repair.

STORAGE

Allow hairsetter to cool. Handle cord carefully for
longer life; avoid jerking or straining at plug con­nections. Place hairsetter out of reach of children
in a safe, dry location.

HOW TO CURL YOUR HAIR

1. Place ends of hair on roller and wind toward
the scalp. Roll up hair firmly, and secure
clip, crossing over roller. Do not place clip in
roller slit.

2. The firmness of the curl is regulated by the
temperature and the length of time the roller
is left in your hair.

3. For tight, firm curls, leave rollers in the hair
for at least ten minutes before removing.
For soft, wavy curls, the rollers should be
removed from the hair after a shorter period
of time.

4. Removing roller: hold roller in one hand while

removing smart clips
with the other. Gently
drop roller (DO NOT
PULL) and let curl
bounce back after roller
has been completely
removed. Let cool for

one minute for a firmly
set curl, and then style your hair into a look
that lasts for hours.

IMPORTANT: After using the hairsetter several
times, you will find the best timing for the texture
of your hair and for the result you desire.

softer, sophisticated hair styles.

– Use super jumbo rollers for added volume.

8. Nunca utilice este aparato mientr as esté

9. Nunca deje caer ni inserte un objeto en

cionar donde se estén usando productos

en aerosol (spray) o donde se esté admin-

istrando oxígeno.

11. No utilice una extensión con este aparato.

12. No toque los elementos calefactores que

calientan los rulos, porque se vuelven muy

calientes.

INSTRUCCIONES

Cómo operar el conjunto de rulos

calientes:

1. Ponga el aparato sobre una superficie llana y

segura. Cierre la cubierta y enchufe el cable en

un tomacorriente de 120V C.A.. El cable de este

aparato esta dotado de una clavija polarizada

(un polo es más ancho que otro). Como medida

de seguridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola

manera en el tomacorriente. Si no entrara por

completo, inviértela. Si aún no entrara comple-

tamente, comuníquese con un electricista. No

intente vencer esta función de seguridad.

2. Después conectar el aparato, ponga el inter-

ruptor de encendido/apagado en la posición

“ON”. El indicador luminoso rojo se encenderá,

los rulos calentarán rápidamente y activarán

automáticamente la función iónica (véase

CÓMO FIJAR EL CABELLO para más infor-

mación). Los rulos estarán listos cuando el

indicador térmico se vuelva blanco translúcido.

3. Mantenga la cubierta cerrada hasta que los

rulos y las pinzas estén calientes. Esto logrará

un calentamiento más rápido y efectivo.

Empiece a fijar el cabello cuando los rulos

lleguen a la temperatura deseada. Para crear

bucles más apretados, permita que los rulos

calienten durante más tiempo. Nunca deje el

aparato desatendido mientras esté encendido.

Siempre desconecte el aparato después de

usarlo. Permita que el aparato enfríe y guárdelo

en un lugar seguro después de usarlo.

4. Su cabello debería estar limpio y seco, o ligera-

mente húmedo. No fije el cabello mojado.

INSTRUCCIONES DE MANTENIMIENTO

Su conjunto de rulos calientes fue diseñado

para uso doméstico, usando un óptimo nivel

de tecnología y de trabajo. Casi no necesita

mantenimiento. Cuando sea necesario limpi-

arlo, desconéctelo, permita que enfríe y limpie

el aparato y los elementos calefactores con un

paño limpio. De vez en cuando, limpie los rulos

usando un paño húmedo y detergente o jabón

suave. En caso de mal funcionamiento, desco-

necte el aparato, permita que enfríe y regréselo

a un centro de servicio autorizado para que lo

reparen.

ALMACENAMIENTO

Después de utilizar el aparato, desconéctelo,

permita que enfríe y guárdelo en un lugar seco y

seguro, fuera del alcance de los niños. Manipule

el cable con cuidado para prolongar su vida útil.

No lo jale, retuerza o doble al nivel de la clavija.

CÓMO FIJAR EL CABELLO

1. Coloque las puntas del cabello en el centro

del rulo y enrolle éste firmemente hacia

el cuero cabelludo. Sujete el rulo con una

pinza. No introduzca la pinza el la abertura

del rulo.

2. La textura de los rizos depende de la tem-

peratura del rulo y del tiempo que se deja el

rulo en el cabello.

3. Para lograr bucles apretados y firmes, deje

los rulos en el cabello durante 10 minutos

o más. Para lograr bucles sueltos y ondas

suaves, déjelos en el cabello durante menos

tiempo.

4. Para remover los

rulos: Coja el rulo con

una mano y remueva

la pinza con la otra.

Deslice el rulo suave-

mente (NO LO JALE) y

permita que el cabello

rebote libremente.

Permita que el cabello enfríe durante un

minuto para fijar los bucles, luego peine el

cabello a su gusto para lograr un estilo que

durará horas.

IMPORTANTE: La experiencia le enseñará cuanto

tiempo dejar los rulos en el cabello para obtener

los resultados deseados.
