9. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used or
where oxygen is being administered.
10. Do not use an extension cord to
operate dryer.
11. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other
heat-sensitive areas.
12. Attachments may be hot during use.
Allow them to cool before handling.
13. Do not place appliance on any surface while
it is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair out
of it. Keep your hair away from the air inlets.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard Dryers are designed to operate at 110
to 125 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (o ne blade
is wider than the other). As a s afety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outle t only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully in the ou tlet,
reverse the plug. If it still do es not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do n ot attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
IMPORTANT
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY
TIME YOU USE APPLIANCE.
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety
feature that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning
properly, perform the following test. The
purpose of this test is to allow you to make sure
the water sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button on
plug (See appropriate diagram below).
2. The appliance will stop working. There will be
an audible click and reset button will pop out.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button, units
should be unplugged. Then push reset button
in, and reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning prop erly, return
appliance to nearest serv ice center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this
unit be brought to a service center. Do not try
to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the
unit to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go off and the reset button
pop up during use, this could indicate a
malfunction in the unit. Remove plug from
outlet and allow the appliance to cool.
Reinsert plug into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally. If
not, return to an authorized Conair Service
Center for evaluation and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUID E
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s
well maintained. Always treat hair right with
superior quality shampoos, conditioners, and
finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with pr oducts
of your choice. Rinse thoroughl y. Towel dry
hair to remove excess moisture. Sec tion
hair.
2. Set your heat/speed s etting to “high” (which
is part of the ionizing funct ion), the ion
generator will reduce sta tic electricity,
control frizzy flyaway s and contribute to your
hair’s shine.
3. If you use the dryer with a s tyling brush (the
professional way to st yle and dry at the
same time), brush each strand fr om
underneath as you direct hot a ir to top of
strand, always moving slowly an d steadily
up and down each strand. This way, you’ll be
aiming heat at your hair, not at your scalp.
4. For quick touch-ups bet ween shampoos,
mist hair to dampen it before st yling with
dryer.
5. When using your dryer to crea te curls and
waves, dry hair almost complet ely on a low
temperature setting , then set your style by
pressing the cool shot but ton. This will help
to set your style.

DE USO
Este aparato fue diseñ ado para uso profe-
sional. Úselo solamente con C orriente Alterna
de 110 a 125V (60 hertzios).
El cable de este aparato es tá dotado de una
clavija polarizada (una pata es más a ncha que
otra). Como medida de segurid ad, se podrá
enchufar de una sola manera en el
tomacorriente. Si no entr ara por completo,
inviértela. Si aún no entr ara completamente,
comuníquese con un electricis ta. No intente ir
en contra de esta funció n de seguridad.
IMPORTANTE
PRUEBE EL CORTACIRCUITO DE
SEGURIDAD ANTES DE CADA USO
Este aparato está dotado de un cortacircuito de
seguridad llamado ALCI (Appliance Leakage Circuit
Interrupter), que apaga el aparato inmediatamente
si éste cayera al agua. Haga la prueba siguiente
para asegurarse que el sistema de detección de
agua funcione correctamente:
1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de prueba
(véase el gráfico más abajo).
2. El aparato dejará de funcionar, se oirá un clic y
el botón de reajuste saltará.
3. Para reajustarlo, desconecte el aparato, apriete
el botón de reajuste luego vuelva a conectar el
aparato.
4. Si el cortacircuito de segu ridad no
funcionara correct amente, regrese el
aparato a un centro de servic io
autorizado.
5. Si el aparato cayera al agua, es muy
importante que lo mande a un centro de
servicio autorizado. No intente reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el cortacircuito de seguridad antes de
cada uso para asegurarse que esté operativo.
Si el secador se apagara y el botón de reajuste
saltara durante el uso, esto podría indicar un
mal funcionamiento. Si esto ocurriera,
desconecte el aparato, permita que enfríe y
conéctelo otra vez. El aparato debería funcionar
normalmente. Si no fuera el caso, regréselo a un
centro de servicio autorizado para que lo revisen
y lo reparen.
GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER PEINA DO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un recorte de
cabello bien mantenido. Siempre cuide su cabello
con champúes, acondicionadores y productos de
acabado de calidad superior.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECAD O
1. Lave y acondicione su cabello con los
productos deseado s. Enjuáguelo bien y
séquelo con una to alla para eliminar el exceso
de agua. Divida el cabello en secciones.
2. Escoja el ajus te de calor/velocidad alto p ara
activar la función iónica. El generador de iones
genera iones negati vos que ayudan a reducir
la estática y el frizz al mismo tiempo que
agregan brillo.
3. Seque el cabello usando simultáneamente
el secador y un c epillo. Coloque el cepillo
debajo de cada secci ón de cabello y dirija el

simultáneamente hast a las puntas, dirigiendo
el flujo de aire haci a el cabello, no hacia el
cuero cabelludo.
4. Para realizar r etoques rápidos entre
lavados, rocíe un po co de agua sobre el
cabello antes de s ecarlo.
5. Cuando use el secador para crear bucles
y ondas, seque el cabello casi por completo
usando un ajuste de temperatura bajo, luego

USER MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance-fr ee. No
lubrication is needed. For proper o perating
performance, the dryer mus t be kept clean.
When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord,
allow to cool and clean dust and lint from air
intake openings with a small brush or the
brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The
outer surface of the dr yer should be wiped
clean with a cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating
occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage or
personal injury. If the unit or the heat cycles
off, unplug the cord and allow the dryer to cool
for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting. Make
sure the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never
wrap the cord tightly around the dryer.
Damage will occur at the high flex point of
entry into the dryer, causing it to rupture
and short. Inspect the cord frequently for
damage. Stop use immediately if damage
is visible or unit stops or operates
intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or doe s not
operate properly, return it for repair t o an
authorized Conair service re presentative
only. No repairs should be attempted by the
consumer.
STORAGE - Important
When not in use, your dryer should be
disconnected, allowed to cool and stored in a
safe, dry location, out of reach of children. Do
not wrap line cord around dryer. Allow the
cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the
point of entry into the dryer.
LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY
Conair will repair or replace, at our option, your
appliance free of charge for 24 months from the
date of purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return
the defective product to the service center
listed below, together with your sales slip and
$7.00 for postage and handling. California
residents need only provide proof of purchase
and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping
instructions. In the absence of a receipt, the
warranty period shall be 24 months from the
date of manufacture.

sistema escoger – un sistema amovible que se

INSTRUCCIONES DE
MANTENIMIENTO
Su secador casi no necesita mantenimiento.
No necesita lubricación. Para que funcione
correctamente, debe mantenerlo limpio.
Cuando sea necesario limpiarlo, desconéctelo,
permita que enfríe y saque el polvo y las
pelusas de las aberturas de aire con un
cepillo pequeño o el cepillo accesorio de
una aspiradora
El secador se recalentará si las aberturas
de aire estuvieran bloqueadas u
obstruidas. Si esto ocurriera, un sistema de
seguridad apagará el secador o cortará la
temperatura automáticamente para evitar
daños al aparato o heridas. Si esto sucediera,
desenchufe el aparato y permita que enfríe
durante 10 a 15 minutos antes de encenderlo
de nuevo. Asegúrese que las ventilaciones de
aire estén limpias.
PRECAUCIÓN
NUNCA jale, retuerza ni doble mucho el cable.
