This guide provides the basic information required to install the Comtest Model 2620 5-Pair BIX Block in a MultiDwelling location.
Installation
The 2620 requires 7-5/8” x 1-5/8” of mounting space. Two wood screws (not supplied) are typically required for
mounting on a wall. Comtest recommends the use of #6 wood screws, the length of which is determined by the
thickness of the wood surface on which the 2620 is installed.

Wiring Overview
The wiring direction (from the left or right side) will depend on the installation. However, the physical interface
to the BIX block connectors is the same. Dress the twisted pair wires through the cable guides and, using a BIX
punchdown tool (not supplied), fully seat each wire according to the Pin Out chart. To maintain VDSL
performance, use only 24ga solid core CAT5 twisted pair wire on Line and Modem. Maintain twist all the way to
the BIX block. Phone can be 24ga solid core CAT3 or better.
