Compex 8 Port Dual Speed Fast Ethernet
Switch (PS2208A)
Ø Introduction
The key features of the Compex 8 Port Dual Speed Fast Ethernet Switch (PS2208A) are as follows:
Provides high-speed switching between 10Base-T Ethernet segments as well as
100Base-TX Fast Ethernet segments.
Supports 10Base-T to 100Base-TX connectivity, allowing for progressive
migration from 10Base-T to 100Base-TX technology.
Provides high throughput because Switches route data packets to destination port
instead of broadcasting them to all ports. Alleviates congestion for applications with high-bandwidth requirements such as multimedia applications and large file transfers.
All ports support full auto-negotiation for 10Mbps and 100Mbps speed and half
or full duplex mode connection. Thus, switching between 100Base-TX and 10Base-T networks does not require any manual configuration.
Implemented store-and-forward switching scheme prevents the propagation of
erroneous packets.
Provides a dynamic memory sharing in/out buffer to ensure fast error free packet
storage and transmission, which greatly improves your network performance.
