Introduction
2
The COMPAT DualFlo administration of all enteral feeding solutions. Key features of this device include:
Patient hydration with automatic flush
Patient hydration needs are facilitated by administering up to 500 mL of water over a selected time interval (in hours). Time interval is adjustable in 1 hour increments from 2 to 12 hours. In addition, the final 25 mL of water is automatically flushed through the line just before the conclusion of the time interval.
Formula dilution
Provide formula dilution when necessary by selecting Formula Strength. Formula can be delivered at full strength (FS), or diluted to (all water delivery, no formula).

/4,2/3,1/2,1/3,1/4 strength, or H20
Programmable Flush after Dose is Delivered
Deliver up to 500 mL of water in a programmable water delivery to hydrate the patient or flush the line after the formula dose limit is delivered. Water is delivered at a fixed rate of 375 mL/hr.

Enteral Delivery Pump is an easy to use, versatile device for the
Delivery Set Security Doors
Reduces the likelihood of accidental dislodgment of sets and enables immediate detection of a free flow condition.
Automatic priming
Automatic priming of formula and water through the administration set allows nurse time to perform other bedside duties and may help reduce wasted sets due to improper manual priming.
Versatility
• Formula rate adjustable in 1 mL/hr increments from 1–295.
• Dose Limit adjustable in 1 mL/hr increments from 1–2000.
• Formula Strength options include FS (Full Strength), 3/4,2/3,1/2,1/3,1/4 strength, or H20 (water only).
• Water volume adjustable in 1 mL/hr increments from 0–500.
• Time Interval adjustable in 1 hour increments from 2 to 12 hours, with programmable flush available as dose is delivered.
• Ability to select basic full strength formula delivery when water delivery options are not desired.

Lifetime memory retention
Infusion Rate, Dose Limit, Formula Strength, Water Volume Set, Time Interval, Formula and Water Volume Delivered, and Accumulated Volume are automatically recalled when the pump is turned back on.
Audio and visual alarms when pump is turned on:
• Feed Error for detecting empty container or occluded line
1
/2 minute Hold Alarm if user
•2 forgets to start the pump
• Dose Delivered
• Low Battery
• No Set
Designed for ease of use
• Large LED display window, alternates displaying delivery rate and volume delivered when pump is running.
• Dose Limit for Intermittent Feeding with choice of 3 dose complete alarm modes.
• Ability to quickly view formula and water settings without interruption of feeding.
• Adapter Cap Holder.
• Smooth surface of pump makes cleaning easy.
• Lightweight and portable, the pump is 7pounds and can clamp to any IV pole.
• Adjustable Alarm Volume Control knob.
• 8-hour battery life.
• Self-diagnostic mode allows for complete circuitry check when pump is turned on.
Controls
Keypad Controls
1. ON, turns power on, memory recalls previous settings.
2. OFF, turns power off, battery
charges when plugged in to an electrical outlet.
3. SELECT, selects a delivery function
to display and/or change.
4. CLEAR, clears displayed value of
selected function to 0. (If RATE is selected, pressing and holding CLEAR for 4 seconds will reset all parameters to default settings.)
5. increases flow rate, dose limit,
formula strength, water volume set, or time interval when pressed. Change is more rapid when pressed and held.
6. decreases flow rate, dose limit,
formula strength, water volume set, or time interval when pressed. Change is more rapid when pressed and held.
7. PRIME, automatically primes both
formula and water through the administration set.
8. START/HOLD, starts and/or holds
pump operation. HOLD is used to temporarily stop feeding, or silence an alarm condition. Parameters can only be changed when pump is in HOLD mode. An audio and visual alarm is activated if the pump has been in HOLD mode for 2 1/2 minutes. Press START/HOLD to resume normal operation.

Formula Side Displays
24. RATE, displays the formula infusion rate. Select from 1–295 mL/hr in 1 mL increments.
25. VOL. DELIVERED, displays full strength or diluted formula volume delivered.
26. DOSE LIMIT, displays dose limit. Select from 1–2000 mL in 1 mL increments. Dose is completed when Volume Delivered equals the Dose Limit set. Refer to Dose Delivered under Alarms/Indicators. If nOnE is displayed, this feature is deactivated.
27. ACCUM. VOLUME, displays full strength or diluted formula volume delivered over multiple feedings.
28. STRENGTH, (Formula Dilution) displays formula strength to be delivered. Select from FS (Full Strength), or H

Water Side Displays
29. VOLUME SET, displays the volume of water to be delivered over the selected Time Interval or at the end of the dose limit. Select from 0–500 mL in 1 mL increments.
30. TIME INTERVAL, displays the time interval (2 to 12 hours in 1 hour increments) over which the selected water volume is delivered. When doSE is displayed, indicates Programmable Flush is activated. When nOnE is displayed, all water side settings are deactivated.
31. VOL. DELIVERED, displays amount of selected water volume that has been delivered. At the conclusion of the Time Interval selected, the Volume Delivered turns to 0 and a new accumulation begins.
32. ACCUM. VOLUME, displays water volume delivered over multiple Time Intervals.
