Introduction

Bluetooth Pocketherm BT125, and BT250
are pocket sized waterproof handheld
folding probe digital thermometers.
Pocketherm thermometers are intended
for quick checks on frozen, chilled or
cooked food in catering environments. In
addition BT250 can be used for checking
frying oil temperatures.

Comark Bluetooth Pocketherm
thermometers are designed for use with
the Comark Kitchen Checks App. To
automate your HACCP records download
the Comark Kitchen Checks App from
Google Play or Apple Store. For larger
organizations the Comark API can be
used to integrate Bluetooth thermometers
into existing HACCP programs.

When connected via Bluetooth,
temperature updates are sent to the
tablet or phone and displayed by the App.
A touch sensitive record button signals
the App to record the currently displayed
temperature.

Operation

Switching On/Off

Swing out the probe to switch on the
thermometer. Swing back the probe to
switch off. Clip the tip behind the retainer
to avoid damage to clothing or injury.

At switch on, the Bluetooth radio will await
connection for 60 seconds, if after this
time a successful connection is not made,
the Bluetooth radio will shut down, leaving
only the thermometer active.To re-attempt
making a Bluetooth connection, fold back
the probe to switch off the thermometer
and then swing out again to switch on.

To conserve battery life, the thermometer
will automatically switch off after 10
minutes. Fold back then unfold the probe
to continue use.

Low Battery Indication

Low battery is indicated by an empty
battery symbol appearing in the top left
corner of the display. Replace the battery
as soon as possible after this symbol
appears.

If the battery is too low, BATT is displayed
brie! y before the instrument switches
itself off.

Connection to Comark Kitchen
Checks App

To connect the Bluetooth Pocketherm
to Comark Kitchen Checks App, please
follow the instructions provided online.
When successfully connected to the
App, the blue ACTIVITY LED on the
front of the Bluetooth Pocketherm
will • ash at a rate of once per second
to indicate that communication is in
progress. Disconnection is as simple as
folding away the probe to switch off the
Pocketherm, or exiting the App.

Taking Measurements

Having successfully connected the
Bluetooth Pocketherm to Comark Kitchen
Checks, check that the blue ACTIVITY
indicator is • ashing.

Insert the tip of the probe approximately
20mm (3/4”) into the food item to be
checked. Allow a few seconds for the
probe to reach stable temperature. To
record the reading touch the record
button to the right of the display.

The Bluetooth Pocketherm will bleep

once to con! rm the touch press and the
blue ACTIVITY indicator will light. The
app will guide you through storing the
temperature record.

Note: If your Bluetooth Pocketherm is
placed face down onto a metal surface
unwanted temperature readings may be
recorded.

Take care to either:
(a) Only place face up onto metal

surfaces.
(b) Ensure the App is not in recording
mode, or is stopped.
(c) Switch off the Pocketherm after each
use.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To maintain probe hygiene wipe regularly
with Comark probe wipe.

The instrument is waterproof and can be
washed under a running tap but is not to
be submerged.

Use only domestic kitchen cleaners or
mild detergents to clean this instrument.
Do not use aggressive cleaning
chemicals or solvents, these will attack
plastics and cause damage.

Battery Replacement

To replace the battery, ! rstly close the
probe then remove the battery cover
retaining screws on the rear of the
instrument using a Philips or " at blade
screwdriver.* Remove the two cells
and dispose in local recycling facilities.
Replace with AA size alkaline cells only
carefully observing the correct polarity.
Visually check that the battery cover
and compartment are clean and free of
debris. Check that the seal in the battery
compartment is not displaced from the
locating groove before re! tting the cover.
Do not to over-tighten the screws when
re! tting the cover.
Should OTA appear on the display, simply
close and reopen the probe before use.

Bedienung

Ein- und Ausschalten

Klappen Sie den Messfühler aus, um
das Thermometer einzuschalten. Wenn
Sie den Messfühler wieder einklappen,
schaltet sich das Thermometer aus.

Achten Sie beim Einklappen darauf, dass
die Spitze in der Arretierung einrastet, um
Verletzungen oder eine Beschädigung
von Kleidungsstücken zu vermeiden.
Beim Einschalten versucht das
Bluetooth-Modul 60 Sekunden lang,
eine Verbindung herzustellen. Wenn
in diesem Zeitraum keine Verbindung
hergestellt werden konnte, schaltet sich
das Bluetooth-Modul aus, und nur das
Thermometer bleibt aktiv. Um einen
weiteren Versuch zu unternehmen, eine
Bluetooth-Verbindung herzustellen,
klappen Sie den Messfühler ein, um
das Thermometer auszuschalten, und
klappen Sie ihn daraufhin wieder aus, um
das Gerät wieder einzuschalten.

Um die Batterien zu schonen, schaltet
sich das Thermometer nach 10 Minuten
automatisch aus. Wenn Sie das
Thermometer nach der automatischen
Abschaltung weiter nutzen möchten,
klappen Sie einfach den Messfühler ein
und kurz darauf wieder aus.

Anzeigeniedriger Batteriespannung

Ist die Batteriespannung niedrig, wird
ein Symbol mit einer leeren Batterie in
der linken oberen Ecke des Displays
angezeigt. Wird dieses Symbol angezeigt,
sollten Sie die Batterien so bald wie
möglich austauschen.

Ist die Batteriespannung zu niedrig,
werden kurz die Buchstaben „BATT“
angezeigt, bevor das Thermometer sich
ausschaltet.

Verbindung mit Comark Kitchen
Checks App

Befolgen Sie die entsprechenden
Anweisungen, um das Bluetooth
Pocketherm mit der Comark Kitchen
Checks App zu verbinden. Bei einer
erfolgreichen Verbindung mit der App
leuchtet die blaue AKTIVITÄTS-LED
an der Vorderseite des Bluetooth
Pocketherm einmal pro Sekunde auf,
um darauf hinzuweisen, dass eine
Verbindung besteht. Die Verbindung kann
ganz einfach getrennt werden, indem
Sie den Messfühler einklappen und das
Pocketherm ausschalten oder die App
schließen.

Vornehmen von Messungen

Stellen Sie bei einer erfolgreichen
Verbindung des Bluetooth Pocketherm
mit Comark Kitchen Checks auf einem
Mobilgerät sicher, dass die blaue
Aktivitätsanzeige blinkt.

Stecken Sie die Messspitze etwa 20 mm
(3/4'') tief in das Lebensmittel, dessen
Temperatur Sie prüfen möchten. Warten
Sie einige Sekunden, bis der Messfühler
eine stabile Temperatur erreicht hat.
Berühren sie die Aufzeichnungstaste
rechts neben dem Display, um den
Messwert aufzuzeichnen.

Das Bluetooth Pocketherm gibt einmalig
einen Signalton aus, um den Tastendruck
zu bestätigen, und die blaue Aktivitäts­anzeige leuchtet auf. Das Handbuch zur
App enthält Informationen darüber, wie
die Temperatur aufgezeichnet wird und
grenzwertüberschreitende Temperaturen
gemeldet werden.

Hinweis: Wenn das Bluetooth
Pocketherm nach unten zeigend auf eine
Metallober• äche gelegt wird, können

ungewollte Temperaturmesswerte
aufgezeichnet werden.

Beachten Sie Folgendes:
(a) Legen Sie das Thermometer nur nach
oben zeigend auf Metallober• ächen.
(b) Stellen Sie sicher, dass sich die App

(c) Schalten Sie das Pocketherm nach

jeder Verwendung aus.

Instandhaltung

Reinigung

Um stets eine optimale Hygiene
zu gewährleisten, wischen Sie den
Messfühler regelmäßig mit speziellen
Messfühler-Reinigungstüchern von
Comark ab.

Das Thermometer ist wasserdicht und
kann unter • ießendem Leitungswasser
abgewaschen werden. Es darf jedoch
nicht untergetaucht werden.

Verwenden Sie zum Säubern des
Thermometers ausschließlich
Haushaltsreiniger oder milde
Reinigungsmittel. Verwenden Sie auf
keinen Fall aggressive chemische
Reiniger oder Lösungsmittel;

diese greifen die Kunststoffteile des
Thermometers an und können zu

Beschädigungen führen.

Batteriewechsel

Um die Batterien auszuwechseln, zuerst
schließen Sie die Sonde dann lösen Sie mit
einem Kreuz- oder Schlitzschraubendreher1
die Befestigungsschrauben an der
Batteriefachabdeckung. Nehmen Sie die
beiden Batterien heraus, und entsorgen
Sie sie bei einer Sammelstelle in Ihrer
Umgebung. Setzen Sie zwei neue
Alkalizellen vom Typ AA ein; achten Sie
dabei auf die korrekte Polung. Stellen
Sie per Sichtprüfung sicher, dass das
Batteriefach und die Abdeckung sauber
und schmutzfrei sind. Stellen Sie sicher,
dass die Dichtung des Batteriefachs
ordnungsgemäß in der Nut sitzt, bevor Sie
die Abdeckung wieder anbringen. Achten
Sie beim Anbringen der Abdeckung darauf,
die Befestigungsschrauben nicht zu fest
anzuziehen.

Sollte “OTA” auf dem Display erscheint,
schließen Sie die Sonde und öffnen Sie sie
vor dem Gebrauch wieder.

Fonctionnement

Activation/désactivation

Déployez la sonde pour allumer le
thermomètre. Repliez la sonde pour
éteindre le thermomètre. Attachez la
pointe au dispositif de retenue pour éviter
d'endommager vos vêtements ou de vous
blesser.

À la mise sous tension, la radio
Bluetooth attend la connexion pendant
60 secondes ; si aucune connexion n'est
établie pendant cette période, la radio
Bluetooth s'arrête, ne conservant que
le thermomètre actif. Pour réessayer
d'établir une connexion Bluetooth, repliez
la sonde pour éteindre le thermomètre,
puis déployez-la pour l'allumer.

A! n de préserver le niveau de charge
de la batterie, le thermomètre s'éteint
automatiquement au bout de 10 minutes.
Déployez la sonde puis repliez-la a! n de
continuer à utiliser le thermomètre.

Indication de charge insuffi sante

Une charge insuf! sante des piles est
signalée par un symbole de pile vide qui
apparaît dans le coin supérieur gauche
de l'écran. Lorsque ce symbole apparaît,

remplacez les piles dès que possible.

Si le niveau de charge des piles est trop
faible, l'indication « BATT » s'af• che

brièvement avant que l'instrument ne
s'éteigne automatiquement.

Connexion à Comark Kitchen
Checks

Pour connecter le thermomètre Bluetooth
Pocketherm à Comark Kitchen Checks,
veuillez suivre les instructions fournies
avec celle-ci.

Une fois la connexion établie à une
application, le voyant ACTIVITÉ bleu situé
sur le panneau avant du thermomètre
Bluetooth Pocketherm clignote une
fois par seconde pour indiquer que
la communication est en cours. La
déconnexion est très simple ; il suf• t
de replier la sonde pour éteindre le
thermomètre Pocketherm, ou de quitter
l'application.

Relevés de température

Une fois le thermomètre Pocketherm
Bluetooth connecté à Comark Kitchen
Checks, véri• ez que l'indicateur
ACTIVITÉ bleu clignote.

Insérez la pointe de la sonde d'environ

20 mm (3/4") dans l'aliment à véri• er.
Attendez quelques secondes que la

la procédure d'enregistrement et les
températures hors limites sont signalées.

Remarque : si votre thermomètre
Bluetooth Pocketherm est placé face
vers le bas sur une surface métallique,
des relevés de température indésirables
peuvent être enregistrés.

Veillez à toujours :
(a) Placer le thermomètre face vers le
haut sur les surfaces métalliques.

(b) Con• rmer que l’application n’est pas
en mode d’enregistrement, ou est arrêtée.
(c) Arrêter le thermomètre Pocketherm
après chaque utilisation.

Maintenance

Nettoyage

A• n de garantir la propreté de la sonde,
essuyez-la régulièrement avec une
lingette pour sonde Comark.

L'instrument est étanche et peut être
nettoyé sous l'eau du robinet, mais il ne
doit pas être immergé dans l'eau.

Utilisez uniquement un produit nettoyant
de cuisine ou un détergent doux pour
nettoyer cet instrument. N'utilisez pas
de produits chimiques ou de solvants
agressifs pour le nettoyage, car ces
derniers attaquent les plastiques et les

dégradent.

Remplacement des piles

Pour remplacer les piles, tout d’abord
fermer la sonde puis retirez les vis du
compartiment à piles qui se trouve à
l'arrière de l'appareil en vous servant d'un
tournevis Phillips ou plat.1 Retirez les
deux piles et déposez-les au centre de
recyclage le plus proche de chez vous.
Remplacez-les par des piles alcalines AA
en veillant à respecter la polarité. Véri• ez
visuellement que le couvercle et le

compartiment à piles sont propres et

ne comportent pas de débris. Véri• ez que
le joint du compartiment à piles se trouve
toujours dans la rainure prévue à cet effet
avant de replacer le couvercle. Prenez
soin de ne pas trop serrer les vis lorsque
vous remettez le couvercle en place.

Si “OTA” apparaît à l’écran, il suf• t de
fermer et de rouvrir la sonde avant
utilisation.

Funcionamiento

Encendido/apagado

Gire la sonda hacia fuera para activar el
termómetro. Gire la sonda hacia dentro
para desconectarlo. Encaje la punta
detrás del dispositivo de retención para
evitar lesiones o daños en la ropa.
Al encender, el receptor Bluetooth
esperará para establecer conexión
durante 60 segundos; si tras este tiempo
no se establece una conexión correcta,
el receptor Bluetooth se apagará, dejando
activo solo el termómetro. Para volver a
intentar realizar una conexión Bluetooth,

repliegue la sonda a ! n de apagar el
termómetro y, a continuación, gírela
hacia fuera de nuevo para encender el
dispositivo.

El termómetro se apagará
automáticamente después de 10 minutos
para preservar la vida útil de la batería.
Pliegue y, a continuación, extienda la
sonda para seguir utilizándola.

Indicación de batería baja

La batería baja se indica mediante un
símbolo de batería descargada que

aparece en la esquina superior izquierda
de la pantalla. Sustituya la batería lo
antes posible cuando aparezca este
símbolo.Si el nivel de la batería es
demasiadobajo, se muestra brevemente
la palabra “BATT” antes de que el
instrumento se apague solo.

Conexión a Comark Kitchen
Checks

Para conectar el termómetro Bluetooth
Pocketherm a Comark Kitchen Checks,
siga lasinstrucciones proporcionadas con
la aplicación. Cuando se ha conectado
correctamente a una aplicación, el LED
de actividad azul de la parte delantera
del termómetro Bluetooth Pocketherm
parpadeará una vez por segundo para
indicar que la comunicación está
en curso. Para desconectar, basta
con plegar la sonda para apagar el
Pocketherm, o salir de la aplicación.

Realización de mediciones

Tras haber conectado el termómetro
Bluetooth Pocketherm correctamente a
Comark Kitchen Checks, compruebe que
el indicador de actividad azul parpadea.

Introduzca la punta de la sonda
aproximadamente 20 mm (3/4 pulg.)
en el alimento que desea comprobar.
Deje pasar unos segundos para que la
sonda alcance una temperatura estable.
Para registrar la lectura toque el botón
de grabación de la parte derecha de la
pantalla.

El termómetro Bluetooth Pocketherm

emitirá una señal acústica para con! rmar
la pulsación y el indicador de actividad
azul se iluminará. En el manual de la
aplicación se detalla cómo registrar la

temperatura y se noti• ca cualquier límite
de temperatura existente.

Nota: Si coloca el termómetro Bluetooth
Pocketherm boca abajo sobre una
super• cie metálica este puede registrar
lecturas de temperaturas no deseadas.
Para evitarlo, adopte cualquiera de las
medidas siguientes:

(a) Coloque el termómetro solo boca
arriba sobre las super• cies metálicas.
(b) Asegúrese de que la aplicación no
está en modo de grabación, o ciérrela.
(c) Apague el termómetro Pocketherm
después de cada uso.

Mantenimiento

Limpieza

Para mantener la higiene de la sonda,
límpiela regularmente con toallitas para
sondas Comark.

El instrumento es impermeable y se
puede lavar bajo el grifo, pero debe
sumergirse.

Utilice únicamente limpiadores de
cocina domésticos o detergentes
suaves para limpiar el instrumento. No
utilice productos químicos agresivos ni
disolventes, pues pueden atacar a los
materiales plásticos y provocar daños.

Sustitución de la batería

Para sustituir la batería, al principio cierre
la sonda después retire los tornillos de

• jación de la tapa de la batería en la

parte posterior del instrumento mediante
un destornillador plano o Philips.1 Retire
las dos celdas y deséchelas en unas

instalaciones locales de reciclaje.

Sustitúyalas sólo por pilas alcalinas
AA y tenga en cuenta la polaridad
correcta. Compruebe visualmente
que el compartimento de la batería
y su tapa estén limpios y libres de
residuos. Compruebe que la junta del
compartimento de la batería no se haya
desplazado de la ranura correspondiente
antes de volver a colocar la tapa. Tenga
cuidado de no apretar en exceso los
tornillos al colocar la tapa. Si aparece
“OTA” en la pantalla, simplemente cierre
y vuelva a abrir la sonda antes de usarla.

Funzionamento

Accensione/spegnimento

Ruotare la sonda verso l'esterno per
accendere il termometro. Far rientrare
la sonda in posizione per spegnere.
Agganciare il puntale dietro al fermo per
evitare lesioni o danni agli abiti.

All'accensione, la radio Bluetooth
attenderà la connessione per 60 secondi;
se, dopo questo tempo, la connessione
non viene stabilita, la radio Bluetooth si
spegne lasciando attivo solo il termometro.
Per tentare nuovamente di stabilire una
connessione Bluetooth, ripiegare la sonda
per spegnere il termometro, quindi ruotare
la sonda verso l'esterno per accenderlo.

Per prolungare la durata della batteria, il
termometro si spegne automaticamente
dopo 10 minuti. Ripiegare e aprire la
sonda per continuare a utilizzare il
termometro.

Indicazione di batteria esaurita

Quando la batteria si sta esaurendo,
nell'angolo in alto a sinistra del display
compare il simbolo di batteria scarica.
Sostituire la batteria al più presto dopo la
comparsa del simbolo.

Se il livello di carica della batteria è troppo
basso, sul display compare brevemente
la scritta BATT prima che lo strumento si
spenga automaticamente.

Connessione a Comark Kitchen
Checks

Per collegare il Bluetooth Pocketherm
a Comark Kitcen Checks, seguire
le istruzioni fornite con quest'ultima.
Una volta effettuato il collegamento a
un'applicazione, il LED DI ATTIVITÀ
blu sulla parte anteriore del Bluetooth
Pocketherm lampeggerà una volta al

secondo per indicare che la
comunicazione è in corso. Per

lo scollegamento è suf• ciente
ripiegare la sonda per spegnere il
dispositivo Pocketherm oppure uscire
dall'applicazione.

Esecuzione di misure

Dopo aver collegato il Bluetooth
Pocketherm a Comark Kitchen Checks,
veri• care che la spia di ATTIVITÀ blu
lampeggi.

Inserire il puntale della sonda per 20 mm
(3/4") circa nell'alimento da controllare.
Attendere per qualche secondo in modo
che la sonda raggiunga una temperatura
stabile. Per registrare la lettura, toccare
il pulsante di registrazione a destra del
display.

Il Bluetooth Pocketherm emette
un segnale acustico una volta per
confermare l'operazione e l'indicatore
di ATTIVITÀ blu si accende. Il manuale
dell'applicazione spiega in dettaglio in che
modo viene registrata la temperatura e
come vengono noti• cate le temperature
fuori limite.

Nota: se il dispositivo Bluetooth
Pocketherm viene posizionato a faccia in
giù su una super• cie metallica, è possibile
che vengano effettuate registrazioni di
temperatura indesiderate.

Prestare attenzione a quanto
segue:

(a) Posizionare su super• ci metalliche
solo a faccia in su.
(b) Veri• care che l'applicazione non
sia in modalità di registrazione o venga
interrotta.
(c) Spegnere il Pocketherm dopo ogni
uso.

Manutenzione

Pulizia

Per mantenere l'igiene della sonda, pulire
regolarmente col fazzoletto per sonda
Comark.

Lo strumento è impermeabile e può
essere lavato sotto l'acqua corrente ma
non deve essere immerso.

Utilizzare solo detergenti da cucina di
uso domestico o detergenti delicati per
la pulizia dello strumento. Non usare
prodotti chimici aggressivi o solventi, in
quanto intaccano la plastica, causando
danni allo strumento.

Sostituzione della batteria

Per sostituire la batteria, all’inizio chiudere
la sonda quindi rimuovere le viti di

! ssaggio del coperchio del vano batterie
sul retro dello strumento utilizzando
un cacciavite Philips o a lama piatta.1
Rimuovere le due batterie e smaltirle
presso gli impianti di riciclaggio locali.
Sostituire solo con batterie alcaline di tipo
AA, avendo cura di rispettare la corretta
polarità. Controllare che il coperchio
e il vano batterie siano puliti e privi di
detriti. Controllare che la guarnizione del
vano batterie non si sia spostata dalla
relativa scanalatura prima di rimontare
il coperchio. Prestare attenzione a non
stringere eccessivamente le viti nel
rimontare il coperchio.

Se “OTA” appare sul display, è suf! ciente
chiudere e riaprire la sonda prima
dell’uso.
