Using the Remote Start feature
Starting Your Vehicle
The Remote Start Upgrade System can be installed to operate from
any unused buttons or combination of buttons on your existing
remote control transmitter. Please check with your installing dealer
for which buton is connected to your remote start system, and if it
requires a single, double or sequential press of the button(s) to
operate your system.
When activated, the system will check the vehicle to ensure that it is
safe to start, and if all safety parameters are correct, the engine will
start within 5 seconds (diesel engines will take longer.) Using the
remote start activation sequence on your remote control transmitter
again will turn off the remote started vehicle. While in Remote Start
mode, the vehicle parking lights will remain ON. The vehicle will run
for 12 or 25 minutes, depending on run time selected by your
installer.
Entering the Vehicle While It is Running via Remote Start
1. Enter the vehicle. Do not press the brake pedal.
2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn to the ON
position.
3. Press the brake pedal. The remote starter
disengages and the vehicle will operate normally .
Pre-Heating or Pre-Cooling the Interior of the Vehicle
Before exiting the vehicle, set the vehicle’s temperature controls to
the desired setting and operation. After the Code Alarm CA-430
starts the vehicle, the heater or air-conditioning will activate and heat
or cool the interior to your setting.
