CNC O
It is possible to save all the files which are on the NC at the same time, without the need to store
them separately.
Please note that the PLC project is on the PC OFFICE and should be saved separately as for all
other applications which are on PC OFFICE.

The following procedure describes the steps to be done to save all the data of the NC on the PC:
You must start from the condition
1. CN activated
2. Machine in Emergency stop

• Press BOOT CONTROLLER
• Press MODE

• Compare il messaggio “ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO BOOT THE CNC”
• Cliccare su YES
Wait for the complete reboot of the system
• Wait until you see the message “CNC IS IN SETUP MODE”
• Press SECURITY shown in figure:
• Press BACKUP and specify the path and name of the backup to be created:
• Create a new folder “BCKxxxx” (xxxx represents the serial number of the machine).

• Open the folder you just created, specify the file name and press SAVE
• Select “All the control” tag and press START:
• Wait for the end of the Backup operation, until it is shown the message “Operation
completed successfully!”
• Close the SETUP interface:
Press FILE
Press EXIT
• Into BOOT CONTROLLER interface, select MODE then press NORMAL to restart the CN in
standard mode and resume normal operation of the machine:

• Press BOOT, then REBOOT
• Press YES and wait the end of the operation.
• Restart the machine.

The following procedure describes the operations to load all the data from the PC to the NC:
Requerements:
1. CN activated
2. Machine in Emergency stop
• Press UTILITY
• Press BOOT CONTROLLER

• It is shown the message “ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO BOOT THE CNC”
• Press YES
• Wait until it is shown the message “CNC IN SETUP MODE”
CN runs the Reboot.

• Select the SECURITY shown in figure:
• Press RESTORE, select BROWSE… e indicare il percorso ed il nome del file di backup da
ripristinare.
• Select the three options “System area”, “OEM area”, “User area”:
• Press START and wait for the completion of recovery operations CN, which is specified by
the message “Operation completed successfully!”

• Close SETUP interface:

• In the BOOT CONTROLLER interface, select MODE, then press NORMAL to restart the CN

OWNLOAD OSAI
The following procedure describes the steps to be done to save the PLC on the PC:
You must start from the condition
1. CN activated
2. Machine in Emergency stop
• Startup “4CONTROL Engineering”
• Select File, then Open Project
PLC
• Select .4cp in the project then open it (C:\Programmi\Projects\).
• Select Control
and Connect from the menu, to connect the application to the CNC

• Click on Full download all targets to download the plc into CNC.
• Click on Si
Ignore any error/warning messages which are issued upon completion of downloads. Verify that
the transaction is concluded with the words "Download finished" as shown in the following
figure:
NB: The new PLC isn’t running yet until you complete the next three step.

• Click on Warmstart reset as figure:
• Press Yes
• Check the end of warmstart process in the message-box

You cannot upload the plc from CNC execpt with the complete backup of the system.
Nevertheless, in download process, the PLC is sent to CNC in a compiled manner.
This means that you can only obtain compiled PLC and not the source code.
In order to backup the plc project, you have to go through pc file system in
C:\Programmi\Projects and copy the PLC folder named MatrXXXX where XXXX is the number
of the machine.
• Click on “4CONTROL Engineering”
• Open the project:
• Select the path: C:\Programmi\Projects\
OSAI PLC
Click on: FILE , OPEN PROJECT
Open the folder: MATRxxxx
Then, open the file “MATRxxxx.4CP”
That in the example below is MATR6517.4CP
• Click on TARGET
In case a different window than the one shown below will appear, Than click on the button
“TOGLE NAVIGATOR”.

• Click on the icon OSAI = CICLO PLC (LOCALHOST)
The window “Properties OSAI Target” will open
• Select NETBEUI
• On the field “CN Address:” type NCxxxx
• Click on OK
The message ”PROPERTIES OF OSAI CHANGED. REBUILD REQUIRED” will appear

• Click on OK
• Compile the PLC by click on the button BUILD ALL TARGETS

• If everything runs properly, of the screen will appear the message:
“0 error(s), 0 warning(s)”
• At the end click on the button FULL DOWNLOAD ALL TARGETS
