INPUT 1 RECORD: Facilitates recording from INPUT 1 to output VCR OUT at the
same time as you watch another input via TV OUT.

IR Receiver: Receiver for remote control signals.
Status lamps: Show which inputs are activated.

OFF – Device is turned off
1 – INPUT 1 activated
2 – INPUT 2 activated
3 – INPUT 3 activated

SELECT
Choose which input is to be active.

12 V DC INPUT: Input for mains adaptor (12 V DC, 300 mA).
INPUT 1 – 3: SCART inputs.
INPUT 2 AUX: This input is the same as the SCART input 2 (INPUT 2).
VCR OUT: Output for video.
TV OUT: Output for TV.
TV OUT AUX: Output for TV or HiFi system.



Getting Started

Video camera

Video (VCR) DVD-Player Video (VCR)

Digital or Satellite

receiver

1. Connect the mains adaptor to the input marked ”12 V DC INPUT”.

2. Connect the desired appliances to the inputs as shown in the picture, e.g.

DVD, VCR, digital/satellite receiver.

Note!

- INPUT 2 (SCART) is the same as INPUT 2 AUX (RCA).

- TV OUT (SCART) is the same as TV OUT AUX (RCA).

3. Connect your TV to the output marked ”TV OUT”

4. Connect the video you want to record on to the output marked ”VCR OUT”.

Tip!

- INPUT 2 AUX can be used for connecting a video camera or the like.

- You can connect your sound system to the RCA connection on the output

marked ”TV OUT AUX”, this will allow you to listen to music from external
sources on your sound system.
Read your sound system’s instruction manual for more info.



Use

Automatic switching

1. First turn the device on by pushing the SELECT button or one of the buttons
1-3 on the remote control. The device is turned on when one of the lamps 1-3
is lit.

2. If the connected appliance (e.g. DVD player) and TV set are connected via the
SCART connections, the device will activate the input in question and the TV
output automatically when the DVD player is turned on.

The TV set will automatically switch to the AV or RGB input (if it is supported).
When the connected appliance is turned off, the device automatically switches

back to the most recently activated input. If none of the inputs is activated
(none of the connected appliances is turned on) the device switches to TV
mode.

3. The status lamp on the front of the device indicates which input is activated.

Manual switching

1. Press the SELECT button repeatedly or one of the buttons 1-3 on the remote
control if you wish to select a particular input. The status lamps indicate which
of the inputs is activated.

2. Set the ”INPUT 1 RECORD” switch to the ”ON” position if you wish to
record from INPUT 1 to the VCR OUT output at the same time as you watch
something else via the TV OUT.

Recording from e.g. SAT

1. Select AV or RGB channel on the video recorder.

2. Turn on the source of the signal (e.g. satellite receiver) from which the video
recorder is to record and select the desired channel and programme to be
recorded.

3. Select the input on the SCART switch which the source of the signal is
connected to (e.g. satellite receiver). A green light will come on next to the
input if it is activated.

4. Press the REC button on the video recorder to start the recording.



Watch something from one input at the same time as the video records from
INPUT 1 without stopping the recording

- Set the ”INPUT 1 RECORD” switch to the ”ON” position if you wish to
record from INPUT 1 to the VCR OUT output at the same time as you watch
something else via the TV OUT.

- Choose the input you wish to watch something on by pushing the SELECT
button or using the remote control. The recording will continue in the
background and will not be affected by you watching TV via one of the other
inputs.

Care and Maintenance

Wipe with a soft, lightly moistened cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents.

Follow local ordinances when disposing of this product. If you are unsure about
how to dispose of this product contact your municipality.
