Safety

• Note: When hot, thefan should always be lifted by
thehandle to prevent therisk of burns.

• Keep theproduct out of children’s reach.

• Remove thefan from thestove if temperatures exceed 345 °C.
Higher temperatures will damage thefan. Using astovetop
thermometer is recommended for monitoring
thetemperature.

• Never touch thefan while it is in operation, if it needs
moving, use thehandle.

Operation

Note:

Abi-metallic strip fitted to thebottom of thebase lifts thebase
up when thetemperatures near 345°C. This feature is
designed to prevent thebase from being damaged by too high
atemperature. Thefan base becomes very hot during use. Do
not move thehot fan onto any heat-sensitive surfaces before
ensuring that it has cooled adequately.

Placement

Care and maintenance

• Do not use artificial means to hasten cooling after use (such
as by cooling it with water), allow it cool slowly.

• Always let thefan cool before cleaning it.

• Clean theproduct using alightly moistened cloth. Use only
mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

Disposal

This product should be disposed of in accordance
with local regulations. If you are unsure how to
proceed, contact your local council.

How the fan works

Thefan is powered using aPeltier element. This element is
several millimetres thick and sits between thebase and upper
fan body. Electricity is created when one side of theelement
is heated whilst theother side is cooled. Voltage increases in
correlation with theincreased temperature difference between
the sides. Therefore, placing thefan base on thehottest spot
possible, without exceeding thebase’s heat range will give
thebest effect (Note: Do not exceed thebase’s max temp
capacity). Also, ensure that there is anample supply of cold
air behind thefan when positioning it to ensure maximum
performance.

For optimum effect, place thefan near theback of thestove.
This allows cold air to flow from behind thefan. Do not place
thefan in front of thechimney flue. Doing so will cause hot
air to build up behind thefan and decrease its performance.
Thestovetop temperature may vary, so experiment to find
thebest position. Use theaid of athermometer (stove or other
heat-resistant stove thermometer) to find thebest placement.

Säkerhet

• Obs! Lyft alltid den varma fläkten ihandtaget för att
undvika brännskador.

• Håll fläkten utom räckhåll för barn.

• Om kaminens temperatur överstiger 345 ºC ska fläkten
flyttas för att inte skadas. Använd gärna enspistermometer
för att hålla koll på temperaturen.

• Vidrör aldrig fläkten när den används. Om du måste flytta
den, använd handtaget.

Användning

Så här fungerar fläkten

Fläkten drivs av ettpeltier-element, det är den några millimeter
tjocka plattan som sitter mellan foten och överdelen.
Ettpeltier-element alstrar spänning när den enasidan värms
upp och den andra sidan kyls ned. Spänningen ökar i och
med att temperaturskillnaden ökar mellan de båda sidorna.
Detta betyder att den optimala placeringen för fläkten är att
den ställs på enså varm yta som möjligt (Obs! överskrid ej
maxtemperaturen) och att den vrids så att så kall luft som
möjligt kommer in bakom den.

Placering Skötsel och underhåll

• Kyl inte ned fläkten för snabbt efter användning (använd
t.ex. aldrig kallt vatten), låt den svalna långsamt.

• Låt alltid fläkten svalna före rengöring.

• Rengör fläkten med enlätt fuktad trasa. Använd ettmilt
rengöringsmedel, aldrig lösningsmedel eller frätande
kemikalier.

Avfallshantering

När du ska göra dig av med produkten ska detta
ske enligt lokala föreskrifter. Är du osäker på hur
du ska gå tillväga, kontakta din kommun.

Placera fläkten på kaminens bakre del för bästa effekt. Där kan
kall luft strömma in bakom fläkten. Ställ den inte framför kami­nens rökrör. Där kommer istället het luft in bakom fläkten vilket
är negativt för fläktens kapacitet. Temperaturen på kaminens
yta varierar, prova dig fram till bästa placering. Använd gärna
entermometer (IR-termometer eller annan termometer som tål
värmen från kaminen) för att hitta bästa placering.

Obs!

Under fläktens fot finns enremsa av bimetall. Remsan lyfter
fläktens fot en aning när kaminens temperatur närmar sig 345 ºC.
Detta för att fläkten inte ska ta skada av för hög temperatur.
Fläktens fot blir mycket het vid användning, flytta inte fläkten från
kaminen till värmekänsliga ytor förrän den har svalnat.
