Safety
• Be careful, thejug and its lid become very hot during use.
• Thesoup maker must only be connected to a220–240V, 50/60Hz earthed outlet.
• Thesoup maker may be used by children aged 8 or over provided they have been instructed
in thesafe use of theappliance and that they understand thehazards or risks involved.
Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children aged 8 or over, but only under
adult supervision.
• Thesoup maker may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability,
lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise their safety, provided they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning thesafe use of theappliance and understand
thehazards involved. Never let children play with thesoup maker.
• Keep thesoup maker and its mains lead out of reach of children under theage of 8.
• Never use thesoup maker if it or themains lead has been damaged in any way.
• Thesoup maker is only intended for normal domestic use and only in themanner described
in this instruction manual.
• Never leave thesoup maker unattended during use.
• Always keep hands, fingers and loose clothing away from theblade while it is spinning.
• Never attempt to switch thesoup maker on when thejug is empty.
• Make sure that thelid is properly closed before switching thesoup maker on.
• Never immerse thesoup maker, its mains lead or plug in water or other liquid.
• Never move thesoup maker whilst it is switched on.
• Never allow water or other liquids to come into contact with theelectrical connectors.
If this should happen, unplug thesoup maker from thewall socket immediately and dry
theconnectors thoroughly.
• This soup maker contains no parts that you can repair yourself. Any repairs and servicing
of theappliance must only be carried out by qualified service technicians.
• Always unplug thesoup maker from thewall socket after use and before cleaning.
• Place thesoup maker on afirm, level surface where there is no risk of it tipping over.
• Position thesoup maker where air can circulate freely around it during use.
• Theexterior of thejug can become hot during use, only touch thehandle.
• Thesoup maker is intended for indoor use only.
• Do not handle theplug or soup maker with wet hands.
• Do not position or use thesoup maker where there is arisk of it falling into water or other
liquid. Do not use theappliance in awet or humid environment.

Operating instructions
Before initial use
Clean both theinterior and exterior of thelid and jug by wiping them with adamp cloth.
Never immerse theappliance in water or other liquid.
Note: Theblades are very sharp and should be handled with extreme care.

Cooking
1. Chop all theingredients into 1–2 cm pieces depending on thevegetables used.
Note:
- Any fish or meat must be cooked before it is inserted into thesoup maker.
Never place raw fish or meat into thesoup maker.
- Never place frozen ingredients into thesoup maker. All ingredients must be thawed
before they are used.
2. Add all theingredients including theliquid (water, stock, etc) to thejug. Thetotal volume of
theingredients must be at least 1000 ml but no more that 1300 ml. Thesoup maker will emit
anaudible signal and will not start if it contains too little or too much food.
3. Put thelid on and make sure it is properly closed.
4. Plug thesoup maker into awall socket, select thedesired setting and switch it on.
Note:
- Theexterior of thejug can become hot during use, only touch thehandle.
- Be careful to avoid being scalded by escaping steam when opening thelid.
Smooth soup
• Thesoup maker heats theingredients and blends them after apreset program.
Theprogram takes 25–30 minutes.
• When thesoup is ready thesoup maker emits anaudible signal and automatically
switches off.
• Grip thehandle firmly and carefully lift thelid. Your soup is now ready to serve.
• If thesoup needs to be blended to asmoother consistency, use the [ Blend ] function.
Chunky soup
• Thesoup maker heats theingredients after apreset program. Theprogram takes
about 35 minutes.
• Thechunky soup program does not blend theingredients, it only cooks them.
• When thesoup is ready thesoup maker emits anaudible signal and automatically
switches off.
• Grip thehandle firmly and carefully lift thelid. Your soup is now ready to serve.
• If necessary, the [ Blend ] function can be used to make thesoup less chunky.

Using thesoup maker as ablender
The [ Blend ] function does not heat theingredients, it simply liquidises them using thechopping blade.
1. Chop all theingredients into 1–2 cm pieces depending on thevegetables used.
2. Add all theingredients to thejug. Max 1300 ml.
3. Press [ Blend ], thesoup maker blends theingredients for one minute and then stops automatically.
Note: Let themotor of thesoup maker cool down for afew minutes between each blending program.

Care, maintenance and storage
• Always unplug thelead from thepower point and let thesoup maker cool down properly
before cleaning it.
• Hold thelid down or hold thesoup maker upright whenever carrying it. Thelid is heavy and
could easily fall off if you are not careful when moving thesoup maker.
• Never immerse thejug or thelid in water or other liquid.
• Do not wash thesoup maker in thedishwasher. Hand wash it to ensure that no water comes
into contact with theelectrical connectors on thejug and lid.
• Be very careful when washing thejug, theblades are very sharp.
• Once cleaned, thesoup maker should be stored in adry, dust-free place out of children’s reach.
Handy hint: Fill thesoup maker with warm water up to themax level mark and add alittle washing-up
liquid. Put thelid on and start theblender function to clean theinside of thejug.

One of thelevel sensors is preventing thesoup maker
from switching on. Check thelevel of theingredients and
try again.
Use the [ Blend ] function to liquidise theingredients
some more.
Thesoup maker automatically switches off after
20 seconds if the [ Blend ] function is used repeatedly
in quick succession.
Let thesoup maker cool down for afew minutes between
each blending operation.

Användning
Före första användning
Torka av kanna och lock in- och utvändigt med en fuktig trasa. Sänka aldrig ner maskinen i vatten
eller annan vätska.
