Safety

• Be careful, thejug and its lid become very hot during use.

• Thesoup maker must only be connected to a220–240V, 50/60Hz earthed outlet.

• Thesoup maker may be used by children aged 8 or over provided they have been instructed
in thesafe use of theappliance and that they understand thehazards or risks involved.
Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children aged 8 or over, but only under
adult supervision.

• Thesoup maker may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability,
lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise their safety, provided they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning thesafe use of theappliance and understand
thehazards involved. Never let children play with thesoup maker.

• Keep thesoup maker and its mains lead out of reach of children under theage of 8.

• Never use thesoup maker if it or themains lead has been damaged in any way.

• Thesoup maker is only intended for normal domestic use and only in themanner described
in this instruction manual.

• Never leave thesoup maker unattended during use.

• Always keep hands, fingers and loose clothing away from theblade while it is spinning.

• Never attempt to switch thesoup maker on when thejug is empty.

• Make sure that thelid is properly closed before switching thesoup maker on.

• Never immerse thesoup maker, its mains lead or plug in water or other liquid.

• Never move thesoup maker whilst it is switched on.

• Never allow water or other liquids to come into contact with theelectrical connectors.
If this should happen, unplug thesoup maker from thewall socket immediately and dry
theconnectors thoroughly.

• This soup maker contains no parts that you can repair yourself. Any repairs and servicing
of theappliance must only be carried out by qualified service technicians.

• Always unplug thesoup maker from thewall socket after use and before cleaning.

• Place thesoup maker on afirm, level surface where there is no risk of it tipping over.

• Position thesoup maker where air can circulate freely around it during use.

• Theexterior of thejug can become hot during use, only touch thehandle.

• Thesoup maker is intended for indoor use only.

• Do not handle theplug or soup maker with wet hands.

• Do not position or use thesoup maker where there is arisk of it falling into water or other
liquid. Do not use theappliance in awet or humid environment.

• Use and store thesoup maker out of reach of children.

• Do not connect thesoup maker to awall socket to which other appliances are already connected.

Operating instructions

Before initial use

Clean both theinterior and exterior of thelid and jug by wiping them with adamp cloth.
Never immerse theappliance in water or other liquid.

Note: Theblades are very sharp and should be handled with extreme care.

Cooking

1. Chop all theingredients into 1–2 cm pieces depending on thevegetables used.

Note:

- Any fish or meat must be cooked before it is inserted into thesoup maker.

Never place raw fish or meat into thesoup maker.

- Never place frozen ingredients into thesoup maker. All ingredients must be thawed

before they are used.

2. Add all theingredients including theliquid (water, stock, etc) to thejug. Thetotal volume of
theingredients must be at least 1000 ml but no more that 1300 ml. Thesoup maker will emit
anaudible signal and will not start if it contains too little or too much food.

3. Put thelid on and make sure it is properly closed.

4. Plug thesoup maker into awall socket, select thedesired setting and switch it on.

Note:

- Theexterior of thejug can become hot during use, only touch thehandle.

- Be careful to avoid being scalded by escaping steam when opening thelid.

Smooth soup

• Thesoup maker heats theingredients and blends them after apreset program.
Theprogram takes 25–30 minutes.

• When thesoup is ready thesoup maker emits anaudible signal and automatically
switches off.

• Grip thehandle firmly and carefully lift thelid. Your soup is now ready to serve.

• If thesoup needs to be blended to asmoother consistency, use the [ Blend ] function.

Chunky soup

• Thesoup maker heats theingredients after apreset program. Theprogram takes
about 35 minutes.

• Thechunky soup program does not blend theingredients, it only cooks them.

• When thesoup is ready thesoup maker emits anaudible signal and automatically
switches off.

• Grip thehandle firmly and carefully lift thelid. Your soup is now ready to serve.

• If necessary, the [ Blend ] function can be used to make thesoup less chunky.

Using thesoup maker as ablender

The [ Blend ] function does not heat theingredients, it simply liquidises them using thechopping blade.

1. Chop all theingredients into 1–2 cm pieces depending on thevegetables used.

2. Add all theingredients to thejug. Max 1300 ml.

3. Press [ Blend ], thesoup maker blends theingredients for one minute and then stops automatically.

Note: Let themotor of thesoup maker cool down for afew minutes between each blending program.

Care, maintenance and storage

• Always unplug thelead from thepower point and let thesoup maker cool down properly
before cleaning it.

• Hold thelid down or hold thesoup maker upright whenever carrying it. Thelid is heavy and
could easily fall off if you are not careful when moving thesoup maker.

• Never immerse thejug or thelid in water or other liquid.

• Do not wash thesoup maker in thedishwasher. Hand wash it to ensure that no water comes
into contact with theelectrical connectors on thejug and lid.

• Be very careful when washing thejug, theblades are very sharp.

• Once cleaned, thesoup maker should be stored in adry, dust-free place out of children’s reach.

Handy hint: Fill thesoup maker with warm water up to themax level mark and add alittle washing-up
liquid. Put thelid on and start theblender function to clean theinside of thejug.

• Check that thewall socket is live.
One of thelevel sensors is preventing thesoup maker

from switching on. Check thelevel of theingredients and
try again.

Use the [ Blend ] function to liquidise theingredients
some more.

Thesoup maker automatically switches off after
20 seconds if the [ Blend ] function is used repeatedly
in quick succession.
Let thesoup maker cool down for afew minutes between
each blending operation.

• Håll alltid undan händer, fingrar, löst hängande kläder etc. från de roterande knivarna.

• Försök aldrig slå på maskinen när kannan är tom.

• Försäkra dig om att locket är ordentligt stängt innan maskinen slås på.

• Sänk aldrig ner maskinen, nätkabeln eller stickproppen i vatten eller någon annan vätska.

• Flytta aldrig maskinen när den används.

Om detta ändå skulle ske, dra omedelbart ut stickproppen ur vägguttaget och torka

• Dra alltid ut stickproppen ur vägguttaget efter användning och före rengöring.

• Kannan kan bli het under användning, vidrör endast handtaget.

Användning

Före första användning

Torka av kanna och lock in- och utvändigt med en fuktig trasa. Sänka aldrig ner maskinen i vatten
eller annan vätska.

Obs! Var försiktig, skärbladen är mycket vassa.
