(not supplied).
The pair of splashproof sockets fitted to the rear of the worklamp can be used
as extension sockets (max total 13 amps) for secondary applications in dry
conditions. *The IP54 (splash & dustproof) rating only applies when the sockets
are closed and the product is used with an external waterproof socket.
• Keep the work lamp clean by wiping with a dry cloth. DO NOT use
solvents as a cleaning agent.
• Check the power cable to ensure it is sound & free from cuts/
cracks etc.
TO REPLACE A FLUORESCENT TUBE OR LAMP STARTER:
Before attempting to replace a fluorescent tube, ensure the work lamp is
switched off and isolated from the electrical supply by unplugging from the
socket. Allow the work lamp to cool down for a few minutes after switching
off, before performing any maintenance tasks. Handle the lamp tubes using
either a glove or a
piece of cloth.
1. Pull off the rubber
surround from
around the lamp
and lift away the
clear front cover.
2. Remove the upper
retaining clip (1)
from the top of the
lamp by sliding
upwards.
3. Remove the lower
retaining clip (2) by
sliding upwards.
4. Release the
fluorescent tube
from the upper
spring clip (3) and
pull the tube
upwards from the
connecting socket.
5. Replacing the tube
is a reverse of the above process, taking care that the four pins of the
lamp line up with the corresponding four holes inside the connecting
socket.
6. To remove a defective starter (4), simply twist it gently anti-clockwise and
pull it from the socket. Gently twist clockwise to replace.
