WARNING: COMPRESSED AIR CAN BE DANGEROUS. ENSURE THAT YOU
ARE FAMILIAR WITH ALL PRECAUTIONS RELATING TO THE USE OF
COMPRESSORS AND COMPRESSED AIR SUPPLY.
• Use only clean, dry, regulated compressed air as a power source.
• Air compressors must comply with the appropriate European
Community Safety Directives.
• A build-up of moisture in the air compressor will accelerate wear
and corrosion in the air tool. Ensure any moisture is drained from the
compressor daily and the airline filter is kept clean.
• If an unusually long air hose is required, (over 8 metres), the line
pressure or the hose inside diameter may need to be increased.
• The air hose must be rated at least 150% of the maximum operating
pressure of the air tool.
• A typical air line layout is shown above. If an automatic in-line filter/
regulator is used, it will keep the tool in good condition, but should
be regularly checked and topped up with oil. SAE 10 oil should be
used, and the lubricator adjusted to approx 2 drops per minute.
• Never exceed the maximum operating pressure for the air tool.
Ensure that air pressure does not exceed that stated in the
specification for the tool when running. Higher pressures and
contaminated air will shorten the life of the air tool due to faster
wear and is a possible safety hazard.
WARNING: COMPRESSED AIR CAN BE DANGEROUS. ENSURE THAT YOU
ARE FAMILIAR WITH ALL PRECAUTIONS RELATING TO THE USE OF AIR
COMPRESSORS AND COMPRESSED AIR SYSTEMS.
Ensure the compressor is turned off.
1. Fit the mounting bracket to a
suitable support, situated in line
with the compressed air supply.
• Ensure sufficient free space
above the regulator for future
adjustments.
2. Remove the retaining ring and fit
the regulator to the mounting
bracket.
• Note the arrow mark
underneath the regulator body, indicating the direction of air flow.
3. Fit the pressure gauge to the threaded port on the front of the regulator.
4. Remove the blanking plugs from the connection ports and connect to the
supply and delivery hoses.
NOTE: Note that a pair of 1/2” to 1/4” BSP adaptors are supplied.
5. Use PTFE tape if required, to ensure airtight connections.
6. Your regulator is now ready for use.
SETTING
1. The adjustment knob is of the locking type. Pull the knob away from the
body until the red band is visible. Adjust the air supply as required and push
the knob back down to its locked position to prevent acccidental setting
changes.
• Turning the adjustment knob clockwise increases the pressure.
Turning counter clockwise will reduce the pressure.
• + and - are marked on the knob.
AIRLINE MAINTENANCE
1. Before using the airline, drain water from the air reservoir at the compressor.
2. Check the supply airline filter for blockage and clean if necessary.
