SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Never exceed the rated operating pressure for this device.
• Eye protection should be used when assembling and using the hose reel.
• Take ALL precautions with respect to the use of compressed air.
Remember....compressed air can kill.
• Ensure all air connections are properly sealed using teflon tape or pipe sealant.
• Never allow the hose to retract freely, It should always be restrained to prevent
the air tool from whipping, with resultant damage to persons or property.
• Keep children away from the work site.
INSTALLATION
The Hose Reel assembly may be wall or ceiling mounted. Ensure the mounting
hardware (not supplied) is of sufficient strength to support the Hose Reel assembly
and the forces required to pull out the hose etc.
OPERATION
Check Reel for correct operation, as follows:
Gently pull out the hose - a series of clicks will be heard, every half revolution of
the drum.
When a click is heard, release the hose. It should be held by the latch. Continue
to pull out the hose, and after a series of clicks, at various lengths, release it to
check the operation of the latch.
To retract the hose, give it a brief tug to disengage the latch, then allow it to retract
fully, under control, until the stopper rests on the hose guide. DO NOT allow the hose
to retract freely....it must be restrained in order to prevent the air tool, connected to
the end of the hose, from whipping with resultant damage to persons or property.
Model CAR15P is also provided with
a locking device which allows the hose
to be held in any desired position.
Simply slide the latch to the locked
position when required.
To release, give the hose a brief tug,
whilst sliding the latch to the unlock
position, then allow the hose to retract
under restraint.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Whenever servicing or carrying out maintenance tasks, ALWAYS
turn OFF the air supply to the Hose Reel and release any pressure in the line.
Before Use
Check the hose for wear and damage, and the swivel fitting for leakage using soapy
water. Any damage or leaks should be repaired before further use.
Hose Tension Adjustment
Model CAR15P only is provided with a mechanism to adjust the hose tension. This
is achieved as follows:
1. Remove side cover (2 self tapping
screws) to reveal the adjuster plate.
2. Hold the plate steady using a
socket as shown, with ‘T’ bar, whilst
undoing and removing the 4 plate
securing screws.
3. Turn the plate clockwise or anticlockwise, to increase or decrease the
tension, as required, then replace the
securing screws. It is possible to move
the plate by increments of 1/8 turns

The swivel seals will need replacing due to normal wear and tear, from time to
time. This is carried out as follows:

1. Remove the 4 side cover securing
screws ‘A’ and pull off the cover to
reveal the swivel hub -’C’.

securing screws - ‘B’ and pull out the
