In addition to the Quick Set C20 you must provide a monitor or projector, and a loudspeaker (external or built-in to the monitor) to complete your video system.

About the cameras
The PrecisionHD 1080p 12X camera comes with a lens hood. The use of this lens hood will prevent stray light from disturbing your video experience.
The camera mounting bracket should be mounted so that the camera gets positioned on top of your monitor to enhance the perceived eye contact.

CAUTION
In order to be able to use the system for video calls, all orange colored sockets must be connected.
Make sure all units are switched off whenever connecting or disconnecting devices.

Basic configuration
Your video system must be set up before you c an get online and ready to place and receive calls. Th e basic set-up procedure when using a remote control and the on-screen me nu is printed here.
If using a Touch controller, and to be sure to get the mos t recent information, see the Get ting Started Guide that is availa ble online.

Waking up the system
If there is no menu on screen, pre ss (Home) on the remote control to show the menu.
If the system still does not s how a menu on screen:
•Make sure t he monitor is connected to the codec an d has
been switched on.
•Make sure t he codec is switched on.
•Make sure t he remote control batteries are corr ectly inserted
according to +/- orientation. Replace th e batteries if they are flat or weak.
If the codec has just been s witched on, wait a few minutes to allow it to start up.

Finding the IP address
Check the System information list to find the I P address.
1. Navigate to Settings > System information. Pres ss
(OK) to
show the system information.
2. If the IP address is automati cally assigned, the IPv4 or IPv6
address of the system is liste d as NETWORK information.
3. Press
(Home) to exit.

Setting up provisioning
If your video system will be co nfigured by a provisioning system, you have to set up the provisioning s ystem type and how to connect to it. In general, the ot her settings are provisioned automatically.
1. Navigate to Sett ings > Administrator settin gs > Advanced
configuration > Provisioning > Mode. Press
(OK) on the remote control to open the drop dow n list. Select which type of provisioning system to use fr om the list. Press (OK) to confirm.
2. Expand the Provisioning items you need to mo dify and enter
the information supplie d by your provisioning system provider.
3. Press
(Home) twice to exit.
NOTE: When using a pr ovisioning system, most likely you will n ot
have to set the IP, H.323, SIP and Date and time parameters a s described in the next step s.

Setting the H.323 and SIP parameters
Your video system will use either th e H.323 protocol or the SIP protocol for video calls.
Contact your servic e provider to get the information you need to set up H.323 and SIP properly, e.g. system id and se rver addresses.
The H.323 and SIP settings ar e configured from the Advanced configuration menu:
1. Navigate to Sett ings > Administrator settin gs > Advanced
configuration and select H323 or SIP.
2. Expand the items you need to mo dify and enter the
information supplied by yo ur service provider.
3. Press
(Home) twice to exit.

Setting the date and time
When setting up your vid eo system, you should verify that th e date and time settings are co rrect. Among other things this information is used to time st amp messages transmitted to gatekeepers and other network elements.
The date and time are shown in th e top right corner of the screen.
1. Navigate to Sett ings > Date and time.
2. Select the preferred Time fo rmat and Date format in the
corresponding drop dow n lists. Press
(OK) to confirm.
3. Select your Time zone in the corr esponding drop down list.
Press
(OK) to confirm.
4. Select the preferred NTP mode in the correspon ding drop
down list. Press
(OK) to confirm.

If you select Manual, also enter the NTP server address. Select Save to save the change, or Cancel to leave w ithout saving. Press (OK) to confirm.
If you select Off, also select the cor rect value for Day, Month, Year an d Time in the corresponding drop down lis ts. Press
(OK) to confirm.
5. Press
(Home) to exit.

NTP mode:
Auto: The time is regularly update d using an NTP server. The NTP server addres s is automatically obtaine d from the network (DHCP). Manual: The time is regularly upda ted using an NTP server. You must manually enter the N TP server address. Off: You must set the time manua lly. The time will not be updated automatically.

Setting the Administrator settings menu password
When starting up th e video system for the first time th e Administrator settings menu password is not set.
NOTE: We strongly rec ommend that you set a password for the
Administrator settings menu. These setting s affect the system behavior and should onl y be changed by the system administr ator.
Make sure to keep a copy of the password i n a safe place.
1. Navigate to Set tings > Administrator settin gs > Set menu
password. Press
(OK) on the remote control to open the
password input field.
2. Enter the password.
On the remote control, hold th e # key to toggle between lower or upper case charac ters and numbers: abc/ABC/123.
The password you enter is hidd en; each character is displayed as a star (*).
3. Navigate to Save to set the password or Cancel to leave
without saving. Press
(OK) on the remote control to confirm
your choice.
4. Press
(Home) to exit.

Setting the IP parameters
Your video system must be connecte d to an IP network. IP version 4 (IPv4) and IP versio n 6 (IPv6) are supported. In both c ases, the IP parameters can be assi gned automatically by the network, or you can set ever ything manually.
If you want to set the parameters ma nually contact your network adm inistrator to obtain the required parameters.
1. Select IP version: i. Navigate to S ettings > Administrator set tings > IP settings > IP versio n. ii. Select I Pv4 or IPv6 in the drop down list accor ding to your requirement. Press
(OK)
to confirm.
2. Select automatic or manual IP assignment: i. Navigate to C onfigure > IP assignment. ii. Select DHCP (IPv4) or Autoconf (IPv6) in the drop dow n list to get automatic IP
assignment; select Static to set the IP addresses manua lly. Press
(OK) to select.
iii. Nav igate to OK to save the change, or Cancel to leave without savin g. Press
(OK) to
confirm your choice.
3. Set the remaining IP settings ac cording to the table below.
4. Press
(Home) to return to the hom e menu.
IP assignment

The IP configuratio n is complete. i. Navig ate to Configure and enter
the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and DNS Server.
ii. N avigate to OK to save the
changes, or Cancel to leave without saving. Press
(OK) to
confirm.
IPv6
i. Navig ate to Configure > DHCP
Options and select On or Off
according to your preferenc e.

i. Navig ate to Configure, and enter
the IP Address and Gateway.
ii. S et DHCP Options to On or Off

DHCP Options:
Off: All IP parameter s, except the IP address and gateway, must be s et manually. On: The IP parameter s, like the DNS and NTP server a ddresses, will be obtained automatically from the network.

Verifying the settings
We recommend that you check th e System information list to verify the setting s.
1. Navigate to Settings > System information. Pres s
(OK) to
show the system information. If you successfully reg istered to a H.323 gatekeeper or a
SIP server the H323/SIP Stat us will show Registered. If the registration failed the Status will show Not registered or Registration failed.
2. Press
(Home) to exit.
