Overview
Before you begin, you should have a powerline network already set up, with your router connected to a Powerline Adapter. The following instructions describe how to connect the Powerline 4-Port Network Adapter (model number: PLTS200) to additional computers or other network devices.

Installation
A. Connect one end of an Ethernet
network cable to the Ethernet port of the Adapter.

B. Connect the other end to the
Ethernet port of your computer or other network device.
NOTE: You can connect additional computers or other network
devices to the remaining Ethernet ports of the Adapter.
C. Connect the power cord to the
Power port.
D. Plug the other end into an
electrical outlet.
NOTE: Because the Adapter sends data over the power lines
of your home, Linksys recommends that you plug the Adapter directly into an electrical outlet. The Adapter has its own power filter to help protect against surges.

Powerline LEDs light up. (The number of lit Ethernet LEDs depends on how many devices are connected.)
NOTE: The Powerline
LED
indicates that the connection between the Adapter and your powerline network has been established.
Hardware installation is complete.
NOTE: If you want to configure advanced security for your
powerline network, install the Powerline Utility from the included CD-ROM. For more information, refer to the User Guide on the CD-ROM.
