Place a call
Use any of the following approaches to place a call:
Pick up the handset and enter the number you wish to dial
Predial the number then:
Press the Speakerphone button
.
Press the Headset button
(if you are using a headset).
Press Call and pick up the handset
Pick up the handset.
To call from your Directory:
From Home view, press the Contacts button
, and select
Corporate or Personal Directory.
From your chosen Directory, enter in the details of the contact
you wish to call either by First name or Last name and press search. If there are multiple entries, press the up or down
arrows to nd the contact.
Place the call by pressing the Dial button or lifting
the handset.
Placing and Receiving Calls Placing and Receiving Calls
To call an International number there are two ways of dialing:
Plus Dialing allows you to press and hold the star (*) key for
a minimum of 1 second which will insert a + sign as the rst
digit, then insert the number.
Insert the full phone number including the international
call numbers.
Enter a speed-dial item number and press SpeedDial.
Answering Calls
All incoming calls display in the following ways:
A ashing amber line button.
An animated icon and the caller ID.
A ashing red light on your handset.
To answer the call, do one of the following:
Lift the handset.
Press the:
Flashing amber session button.
The Answer button.
The unlit Headset button
.
The Speakerphone button

Responding to Incoming Calls
While your phone rings, you can do the following:
Silence the call.
Decline the call so it goes directly to voicemail.
Divert the call.
Silence Incoming Calls
Ignore or silence a call to stop your phone from ringing. Even though the call is ignored, your phone will still display the
incoming call notication so you can still answer the call.
To ignore or silence a call:
From the Incoming Call, press volume down once, the call
will still go through until it reaches voicemail.
Decline Incoming Calls
Decline a call to stop your phone from ringing and send the call directly to voice mail. Calls you decline still display in your Recent Calls list.
To decline an incoming call:
From the Incoming Call window, press Decline.
The call goes directly to voicemail.
Placing and Receiving Calls
Divert Incoming Calls
While the call is either ringing, active or on hold - press the Divert button. This will redirect a call to voicemail or to another number set up by your system administrator.
During Calls
When you’re in a call, you can do the following:
Hold the call.
Transfer the call to another person.
Set up a conference call with the person you’re talking with
and another person.
Mute.
Holding Calls
To hold a call:
Press Hold
. The hold icon appears and the line button
ashes green.
To resume a held call:
Press the ashing green line button, Resume or Hold.

Transferring Calls
When you transfer a call to another person, you have the option to talk to the person before the transfer completes.
To transfer a call:
1. From an active call, press Transfer
. The active call
is held.
2. From the Dialler, place a call to the person you want to
transfer the call to.
3. When you hear the ring-back sound, press Transfer to
complete the transfer. Or, if you want to talk with the person before the transfer completes, connect and talk with the person, and then press Transfer.
You can also toggle between the two calls before transferring them. Press Swap to do this.
To cancel the transfer before the call connects, tap Cancel.
Mute
While on a call you can press Mute , the button will glow to indicate that it is on. Press this again to turn it off.
Transferring and Forwarding Calls
Forward All
To forward all calls received on your primary line to another number, press Forward All and:
Enter the phone number.
Press Messages
if you wish to forward calls to
your voicemail
To cancel call forwarding, press Forward Off.

Conference Calls
Setting Up and Handling Conference Calls
To set up a conference call:
1. Call the rst person.
2. Press the Conference button
. The active call is held.
3. Using the Dialler, call the second person.
4. When the second person answers, press the Conference
button again to join everyone in a conference. The Active: Conference screen displays.
5. Repeat these steps to add more participants.
You can also connect two current calls into a conference. While having one line active and one on hold press the Conference button, then press the Line button for the other (held) call.
View or Remove participants
If you wish to view the participants during a call, press Show Details then scroll up or down.
To remove participants, scroll to the name you wish to remove and press Remove.
Listening to Voicemail
Your phone may indicate new voicemail messages by the following:
A solid red light on your handset
The Message icon and number displays on the screen.
To listen to voicemail messages
Press Messages and follow the voice prompts. If multiple
lines are congured on your phone, the Line Select screen
displays. Use the up and down arrow keys to select the line that has the message.
Enter your PIN number and press the # key.
(Default PIN: 12345)
Press 1 to hear NEW messages
Press 2 to SEND a message
Press 3 to REVIEW old messages
Personalise voicemail
Press the Messages button and select Voicemail using the
Navigation pad
Press Open
Enter your PIN number and press the # key.

Call History
Viewing Call History
Your phone maintains a Recent Calls list, a list of missed, received, and placed calls. This list can hold up to 150 entries.
Icons display next to a call to indicate the call type:
Placed calls display
Received calls display
Missed calls display
Recent Calls
To view your Recent Calls list:
Press Applications and select Call History. Scroll to view
the records.
From the Recent Calls list you can:
Filter the call history:
Press Applications
and select Call History.
To sort by missed calls for a specic line, select the
required phone line and press missed calls.
Press exit to return for the Applications screen.
Voicemail
Select 4 to change SETUP options.
Press 1 to change your greetings.
Press 2 to record Greetings in Australian English.
Voicemail will replay the current greeting
(Standard Greeting).
Press 1 to re-record your message.
Press 2 to turn on alternate greeting, an be used for
vacations (start and end date can be entered).
Press 3 to edit other greetings.
Press 1 for standard greeting.
Press 2 for after ofce hours greeting.
Press 3 for alternate greeting.
Press 4 for busy greeting.
Press 5 for internal greeting.
Press 6 for holiday greeting.
Press 0 for help.
Press * to exit menu.
Press 4 to listen to all greetings.
Press 0 for help.
Press * to Exit from any menu.

Delete a Call Record:
Press Applications and select Call History.
Highlight the individual call record or call group and press
delete. An alert message will appear for verication, press
Delete again.
Press Exit to return to the Applications screen.
Select a call record to view call details and manage the call.
Use the up and down arrow keys to highlight an entry and
press Dial to automatically call the person.
Voicemail and Call History
Working with Your Contact Directory
You can store a large number of contacts in your phone’s local Contact Directory.
To search and dial:
Press the Contacts button
and use the navigation keys to
scroll and select Corporate or Personal Directory.
Enter in the search criteria information and press Submit.
To dial, either press Call or Select, press the speakerphone or
headset button or pick up the handset.
If you are on a call, you can follow these steps to make a new call. Once the call is placed, the existing call with be put on hold.
Personal Directory
Sign in and out of the Personal Directory:
1. Press Contacts
and select Personal Directory.
2. Enter the user ID and Pin and press Submit.
3. Select Log Out, press Select and press OK.

To add a contact into your Personal Directory:
1. Press Contacts
and sign in to the Personal Directory.
2. Select Personal Address Book and press Submit.
3. Press New. You may need to press More rst.
4. Enter the name information
5. Press Phones and enter the numbers. Include any required
access codes.
6. Press Submit to add the entry to your Personal Directory.
To delete or edit a contact in your Personal Directory:
1. Press Contacts
and sign in to the Personal Directory
2. Select Personal Address Book and search for an entry,
press Select.
3. Press Edit.
4. To Edit the information, modify the entry information and press
Update. To delete, press Delete and OK to conrm.
Contact Directory
Mobile Connect (if congured by admin)
Mobile Connect allows you to use your mobile phone or other devices (called remote locations) to handle calls that are associated with your desk phone number.
You must add your mobile using the same directory numbers as your desk phone.
When you enable mobile connect:
Your desk phone and remote destinations receive calls
simultaneously
When you answer the call on your desk phone, the remote
destinations stop ringing, are disconnected and will display a missed call message. The same missed call message will appear on the desk phone if you answer one of the remote locations
To enable mobile connect
Press Mobility to display the current remote destination
status (enabled or disabled).
Press Select to change the status.
Press Exit.

Key Features User Preferences
To turn Mobile Connect On or Off for All Remote Destinations from Desk Phone:
› Press Mobility or To Mobile to display the current remote
destination status.
Press Select to change the status.
Press Exit.
Switch Desk Phone Call to Mobile Phone:
Press Mobility and Select To Mobile.
Answer the in-progress call on your mobile phone.
Do Not Disturb
Do Not Disturb (DND) allows you to turn off on of the following incoming call indicators:
The ringer on your phone.
The ringer and any visual notication that you have an
incoming call.
When DND is enabled, your calls with forward to another number such as your voicemail. These calls will not save or be listed in your Call History.
To activate DND:
Press DND to turn on – visual conrmation displays briey
To turn DND off, press DND again.
Ringtone
To change the ringtone press Applications.
Select Preferences.
Select Ringtone.
Highlight a ringtone and press Select.
Press Play to hear a sample of the selection.
Press Apply to apply the ringtone.
Screen Brightness
To change the screen brightness Press Applications.
Select Preferences and then Brightness.
Press the Navigation Pad left or right to increase/decrease
the brightness and press Save.
Volume
The volume bar is located to the left of the keypad
To adjust the ringer volume, press the (-) or (+) on the
Volume bar.
To silence the phone when ringing, press Volume down
once. If pressed multiple times this will lower the ringtone volume.
