XS Tastaturenfamilie

G84-52xx, -54xx, -55xx

1 Tastatur anschließen

Je nach Variante können Sie die Tastatur an
einem USB- oder PS/2-Anschluss des Systems
anschließen.

1.1 Tastatur an USB-Anschluss
anschließen

1 Stecken Sie den USB-Stecker in einen

beliebigen USB-Anschluss Ihres Systems. Sie
können auch den USB-Anschluss eines Geräts
verwenden, das am System angeschlossen ist.

2 Folgen Sie den Installationsanweisungen am

Bildschirm.

1.2 Tastatur an PS/2-Anschluss
anschließen

1 Schalten Sie den PC aus.
2 Stecken Sie ggf. den beiliegenden USB-PS/2-

Adapter auf das USB-Kabel der Tastatur.

3 Stecken Sie den/die PS/2-Stecker in die

entsprechenden Buchsen am System.

4 Schalten Sie den PC ein.

2 Bedienung des integrierten

Ziffernblocks
(Modelle G84-54xx/-55xx)

Aufgrund des platzsparenden Designs der Tastatur
wurde der Ziffernblock (Numeric Keypad) in den
Bereich der Haupttasten gelegt. So sind zum
Beispiel den Tasten U, I, O und P die Funktionen
"4", "5", "6" und "/" zugeordnet (durch einen
Rahmen gekennzeichnet).

2.1 Sondertaste Fn

Ist Num-Lock eingeschaltet (LED an), so wird
der integrierte Ziffernblock der Tastatur bewusst
noch nicht aktiv geschaltet. Der Ziffernblock wird
erst durch Halten der Taste Fn aktiviert.

Beispiel: Fn + O = "6"
Das gleichzeitige Betätigen der Tasten Fn und O in

der aufgeführten Druckfolge bewirkt die
Bildschirmausgabe "6".

Die Taste Fn schaltet in Kombination mit anderen
Tasten die jeweils durch einen Rahmen
gekennzeichnete Funktion.

2.2 Funktionsebene Pad

Sofern Num-Lock aktiv ist (LED an), schalten
Sie für längere Zahleneingaben mit der
Tastenkombination Fn + F12 die Funktionsebene
Pad ein (LED an).

Die Funktion Pad aktiviert den integrierten
Ziffernblock dauerhaft.

Die Taste O bekommt beispielsweise dauerhaft die
Funktion "6".

Sofern Num-Lock nicht aktiv ist (LED aus) und
Sie die Funktion Pad einschalten (LED an),
arbeitet der integrierte Ziffernblock als Cursor­Steuerung.

3 Tastenbelegung ändern

Die Programmierung erfolgt über die Software
CHERRY Tools. Die Konfiguration wird als
Software-Makro in einer Datei auf dem Rechner
gespeichert.

Die Software wird ständig weiterentwickelt. Die
aktuelle Version erhalten Sie im Internet unter:

 Installieren Sie die Software CHERRY Tools.

Über den darin enthaltenen Designer können
Sie alle Funktionen der Tastatur konfigurieren.

Die Bedienung ist in der Direkthilfe der Software
CHERRY Tools beschrieben. Sie bietet Ihnen
Informationen dort, wo Sie diese benötigen und
wird mit F1 aufgerufen.

4 Befestigung der Tastatur

Maßangaben

Eine Grafik mit den Abmessungen der Tastatur
und der Lage der Schraubdome finden Sie auf den
hinteren Seiten bei den Technischen Daten.

4.1 Einbaumaße

Sie können die Tastatur von oben oder unten
einbauen.

Ausschnittmaß bei Einbau von oben (cut-out
version B):
369,05 ±0,3 mm x 135,75 ±0,3 mm.

Ausschnittmaß bei Einbau von unten (cut-out
version A):
369,95 ±0,2 mm x 134,65 ±0,2 mm.

4.2 Befestigung

Das Gehäuseunterteil enthält zur zusätzlichen
Fixierung 3 Schraubdome. Verwenden Sie
Schrauben mit Holz-/Kunststoffgewinde mit einem
Gewindedurchmesser von 2 mm. Achten Sie bei
der Wahl der Schraubenlänge darauf, dass die
Schrauben maximal 7,7 mm in den Schraubdom
ragen.

5 Montage der Aufstellfüße

 Schieben Sie die beiden beiliegenden

Aufstellfüße von hinten in die Aufnahmen am
Gehäuseboden bis die Verriegelung einrastet.

Zum Entfernen halten Sie die Lasche gedrückt
und ziehen den Fuß nach hinten ab.

die Abdeckung des Trackballs leicht drücken und
dabei gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen. Reinigen
Sie den optischen Sensor (die unterhalb der Kugel
platzierte transparente Linse) vorsichtig, z. B. mit
einem Wattestäbchen.

7 Zubehör

Zum Schutz der Tastatur vor Staub, Flüssigkeit
und Verschmutzung erhalten Sie als Zubehör
flexible Tastatur-Schutzfolien (WetEx).

8 RSI-Syndrom

RSI-Syndrom

RSI steht für "Repetitive Strain Injury" =
"Verletzung durch wiederholte Beanspruchung".
RSI entsteht durch kleine, sich ständig
wiederholende Bewegungen.

Typische Symptome sind Beschwerden in den
Fingern oder im Nacken. Weitere Informationen

1 Richten Sie Ihren Arbeitsplatz ergonomisch ein.
2 Positionieren Sie die Tastatur so, dass sich Ihre

Oberarme und Handgelenke seitlich vom Körper
befinden und ausgestreckt sind.

3 Machen Sie mehrere kleine Pausen, ggf. mit

Dehnübungen.

4 Ändern Sie oft Ihre Körperhaltung.

9 Entsorgung

6 Pflege und Wartung

Die Tastatur ist wartungsfrei. Zur Reinigung
verwenden Sie ein leicht mit Wasser und mildem
Reinigungsmittel (z. B. Spülmittel) befeuchtetes
faserfreies Tuch. Verhindern Sie, dass Flüssigkeit
in die Tastatur gelangt. Entfernen Sie nicht die
Tastenkappen. Die Verwendung von aggressiven
Flüssigkeiten, wie Alkohol oder Säuren kann die
Tastatur beschädigen.

Trackball: Reinigen Sie die Kugel in regelmäßigen
Abständen. Entnehmen Sie die Kugel, indem Sie

Entsorgen Sie das Altgerät über eine

1 Connecting the keyboard

Depending on the design, you can connect the
keyboard to the system with a PS/2 or USB
connection.

1.1 Connecting the keyboard to the USB
port

1 Connect the USB plug to any USB connection

on your system. You can also use the USB
connection of a device that is connected to the
system.

2 Follow the instructions on the screen.

1.2 Connecting the keyboard to the PS/2
port

1 Turn off the system.
2 Plug the supplied USB PS/2 adapter into the

keyboard's USB cable, if required.

3 Connect the PS/2 plug to the corresponding

socket in the system.

4 Turn the system on again.

2 Using the integrated numeric

keypad
(Models G84-54xx/-55xx)

Due to the keyboard's space-saving design, the
numeric keypad has been placed in the area of the
main keys. For example, the functions "4", "5", "6"
and "/" are assigned to the keys U, I, O and P
(identified by a frame).

2.1 Special key Fn

If Num Lock is switched on (LED on), the
integrated numeric pad of the keyboard is
consciously not yet active. The numeric pad will be
active not until the Fn button is pressed and hold
down.

Example: Fn + O = "6"
Pressing the Fn and O in that order and holding

them down together causes screen output "6".
Fn in combination with other keys switches

functions, each marked with a frame.

2.2 Function level Pad

For longer numeric entries, repeat the steps above
to activate Num Lock (LED on) and use the key
combination Fn + F12 to turn on the function level
Pad (LED on).

With function Pad on, the integrated numeric
keypad is permanently active.

The O key is permanently assigned the function
"6", for example.

When Num Lock is not active (LED off) and you
switch on the function Pad (LED on), the
integrated numeric pad operates as a cursor
control.

3 Change key assignment

Programming is performed via the CHERRY Tools
software. The configuration is stored as a software
macro in a file on the computer.

The software is subject to constant development.
The latest version is available on the Internet

 Install the software CHERRY Tools.

You can configure all the functions of the
keyboard via the Designer included in the
software.

Operation instructions are included in the direct
help for the CHERRY Tools software. It offers you
information where you need it and can be called up
with F1.

4 Securing the keyboard

Dimensions

A diagram with the dimensions of the keyboard
and the position of the screw domes can be found
on the final pages of the Technical Data
information.

7 Accessories

A flexible protective keyboard membrane



(WetEx

) to protect the keyboard against dust,

liquids and dirt is available for purchase.

8 RSI syndrome

4.1 Fitting dimensions

The keyboard can be fitted from above or below.
Cut-out measurements when fitting from above

(cut-out version B):

369.05 ±0.3 mm x 135.75 ±0.3 mm.

Cut-out measurements when fitting from below
(cut-out version A):

369.95 ±0.2 mm x 134.65 ±0.2 mm.

4.2 Mounting

The casing base contains three screw caps for
additional securing. Use screws with a wood/
plastic thread and a thread diameter of 2 mm.
When selecting the screw length, ensure that the
screw does not protrude into the screw cap by
more than 7.7 mm.

5 Installing the mounting feet

 Slide both supplied mounting feet into the

receiving slots in the base of the casing until
locked in.

To remove, press and hold the tab and then pull
the foot away towards the rear.

6 Maintenance and servicing

The keyboard is maintenance-free. For cleaning,
use a lint-free cloth that has been moistened with
water and a mild detergent (e.g. dishwashing
liquid). Do not allow liquid to enter the keyboard.
Do not remove the key caps. The use of
aggressive liquids such as alcohol or acids can
damage the keyboard.

Trackball: Clean the ball at regular intervals.
Remove the ball by gently pressing the cover of
the trackball and turning counterclockwise. Clean
the optical sensor (the transparent lens located
under the ball) carefully, e.g. using a cotton wool
earbud.

RSI syndrome

RSI stands for "Repetitive Strain Injury". RSI
results from small, continually repeated
movements.

1 Set up your workspace for maximum ergonomic

benefit.

2 Position the keyboard in such a way that your

upper arms and wrists are on either side of your
body and are stretched out.

3 Take several short breaks, with stretching

exercises if necessary.

4 Change the position of your body often.

9 Disposal

Dispose of the old unit via a
collecting point for electronic scrap or
via your dealer.

1 Raccordement du clavier

Connectez le clavier à un port système PS/2 ou

2 Utilisation du pavé numérique

intégré
(Modèles G84-54xx/-55xx)

Le bloc numérique (Numeric Keypad) du clavier a
été intégré dans la zone des touches principales
pour économiser de la place. Ainsi, les touches U,
I, O et P sont affectées aux fonctions "4", "5", "6" et
"/" (encadrées), par exemple.

2.1 Touche spéciale Fn

Si la fonction Verr num est active (LED
allumée), le bloc numérique intégré reste inactif.
Seule une pression maintenue de la touche Fn
l'activera.

Exemple: Fn + O = "6"
L'actionnement de la combinaison de touches Fn

et O dans l'ordre indiqué a pour effet de reproduire
le chiffre "6" sur l'écran.

En combinaison avec d'autres touches, la touche
Fn active la fonction encadrée respective.

2.2 Niveau de commande Pad

Au cas où la fonction Verr num est active (LED
allumée), vous pouvez verrouiller le clavier en
mode numérique au moyen de la combinaison de
touches Fn + F12, qui enclenche le niveau Pad
(LED allumée).

La fonction Pad active durablement le bloc
numérique intégré.

Ainsi, la touche O restera verrouillée sur la fonction
"6", par exemple.

Si la fonction Verr num n'est pas actif (LED
éteinte) et que vous activiez la fonction Pad
(LED allumée), le bloc numérique intégré
fonctionne comme pavé à touches directionnelles.

3 Modifier l'affectation des touches

La programmation s'effectue avec le logiciel
CHERRY Tools. La configuration est enregistrée
sous forme de macro-commande logicielle dans un
fichier de l'ordinateur.

 Installer le logiciel CHERRY Tools.

Le Designer qu'il contient permet la

La commande est décrite dans l'aide directe du
logiciel CHERRY Tools. Pour obtenir les
informations souhaitées, ouvrir l'aide avec la
touche F1.

4 Fixation du clavier

avec précaution le capteur optique (la lentille
transparente placée sous la boule) en utilisant par

position des dômes filetés se trouve dans les
caractéristiques techniques à la fin du document.

4.1 Dimensions d'encastrement

Vous pouvez monter le clavier par le haut ou par le
bas.

4.2 Fixation

La partie inférieure du boîtier contient 3 dômes
filetés pour la fixation. Utilisez des vis à filetage en
bois/plastique avec un diamètre de pas de 2 mm.
Sélectionnez les vis de telle sorte que la longueur
de vissage dans le dôme ne dépasse pas 7,7 mm.

5 Montage des pieds d'appui

 Montez par l'arrière les deux pieds réglables

dans les logements du fond du boîtier jusqu'à
l'enclenchement.

Pour les enlever, comprimez la languette et
retirez les pieds par l'arrière.

6 Entretien et maintenance

Le clavier n'exige pas de maintenance. Utilisez
pour le nettoyage un chiffon non pelucheux
légèrement humidifié avec de l'eau et un détergent
doux (par ex. produit vaisselle). Empêchez tout
liquide de pénétrer dans le clavier. N'enlevez pas
les capuchons des touches du clavier. L'emploi de
liquides agressifs, comme l'alcool ou des acides,
peut endommager le clavier.

Trackball: nettoyez la boule à intervalles réguliers.
Enlevez la boule en appuyant légèrement sur le
recouvrement du trackball et en le tournant dans le
sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre. Nettoyez

8 Syndrome LMR

Syndrome LMR

LMR signifie "Lésion due aux mouvements
répétitivs". Le syndrome LMR apparaît suite à de
petits mouvements se répétant en permanence.

1 Organisez votre poste de travail de manière

ergonomique.

2 Positionnez le clavier de telle façon que vos

bras et vos poignets se trouvent latéralement
par rapport au corps et soient étendus.

3 Faites plusieurs petites pauses, le cas échéant

accompagnées d'exercices d'étirement.

4 Modifiez souvent votre attitude corporelle.

9 Elimination

Eliminer l'appareil usé via un point de
collecte pour déchets électroniques
ou via le point de vente.

1 Подключение клавиатуры

прилагаемый адаптер USB-PS/2 на

3 Вставьте разъем(ы) PS/2 в соответствующие

4 Снова включите систему.

2 Работа с интегрированной

цифровой панелью
(Модель G84-54xx/-55xx)

По причине компактного дизайна клавиатуры
цифровой блок (Numeric Keypad) расположен в
области основных клавиш. Так, например,
клавишам U, I, O и P назначены функции "4",

"5", "6" и "/" (помечены рамкой).

2.1 Специальная клавиша Fn

Если клавиша фиксации числового регистра
включена (горит светодиод ), встроенный
цифровой блок автоматически не включается.
Он активируется только при нажатии кнопки Fn.

При одновременном нажатии клавиш Fn и O в

выводится "6".

При нажатии клавиши Fn в комбинации с

2.2 Режим Pad

продолжительного ввода цифр комбинацией
клавиш Fn + F12 можно включить
функциональный уровень Pad (горит светодиод

).

Функция Pad активирует встроенный цифровой
блок на продолжительное время.

Например, клавиша O получает постоянную
функцию "6".

При отключенной функции "Num Lock"
(светодиод выкл.) и включенной функции

Обновления программного обеспечения

Программное обеспечение постоянно
усовершенствуется. Последние версии ПО
находятся в Интернете по адресу:

 Установите программу CHERRY Tools.

Приложение Designer, входящее в пакет
программ, позволяет произвести настройку
всех функций клавиатуры.

Работа с приложениями описывается
непосредственно в Справке программы
CHERRY Tools. Нажатие клавиши F1 позволяет
вызвать Справку и получить необходимую
информацию.

4 Крепление клавиатуры

4.2 Крепление

Нижняя часть корпуса имеет 3 резьбовых
гнезда для дополнительного крепления.
Используйте саморезы для дерева/полимера с
диаметром резьбы 2 мм. При выборе длины
самореза следите за тем, чтобы они входили в
резьбовые гнезда макс. на 7,7 мм.

5 Установка ножек

 Вставьте обе входящих в комплект ножки

сзади в крепление в дне корпуса до
вхождения в фиксационный затвор.

Для снятия удерживайте язычок нажатым и
вытягивайте ножку назад.

6 Уход и обслуживание

Клавиатура не нуждается в уходе. Для чистки
используйте неволокнистую ветошь, слегка
смоченную в воде с мягким чистящем
средством (например, с средством для мытья
посуды). Не допускайте попадания жидкостей в
клавиатуру. Не снимайте колпачки крышек.
Использование агрессивных жидкостей, таких,
как алкоголь или кислота, может повредить
клавиатуру.

1 鍵盤連接

請依說明在系統內從 PS/2 或 USB 接頭連接鍵盤。

1.1 鍵盤使用 USB 連線

1 請將 USB 接頭插入系統中任一 USB 插孔。

您也可使用已與系統連接的外接裝置 USB 插孔。

2 請遵照螢幕顯示的安裝指令。

1 請關閉系統。
2 請視需要將隨附的 USB-PS/2 轉接頭接上鍵盤的

2 內建數字鍵盤操作

(G84-54xx/-55xx 機型 )

為配合鍵盤的精簡設計，數字鍵台位於主要按鍵
上。例如：U、I、O、P 鍵會同時對應 4、5、6、/
按鍵 ( 由方框標示 )。

2.1 特殊按鍵 Fn

若開啟 Num-Lock ( 的 LED 燈亮起 )，整合式數
字鍵台仍不會直接啟動。要句按住 Fn 才可使用數
字鍵台。

例如：Fn + O = 6
依序同時按下 Fn 和 O 鍵即可輸入 6。
Fn 鍵若配合其他按鍵使用，可切換由方框標示的功

能。

2.2 功能等級鍵盤

Num-Lock 開啟後 ( LED 燈亮起 )，同時按下 Fn
+ F12 鍵可以啟動 Pad 鍵台鎖定 ( LED 燈亮起
)，即可持續輸入數字。

鍵台鎖定會使整合式數字鍵台持續處於啟用狀態。
例如：此時按下 O 鍵便可輸入 6。
若 Num-Lock 未啟動 ( LED 燈熄滅 )，而您啟動

了 Pad 鍵台鎖定 ( LED 亮起 )，整合式數字鍵台
的功能會改為控制游標。

4.2 安裝
