Installation Safety Precautions

• Use grill, as purchased, only with LP (propane) gas and the

regulator/valve assembly supplied.

USE AND CARE

• Grill installation must conform with local codes, or in their
absence of local codes, with either the National Fuel Gas
Code, ANSI Z223.1/ NFPA 54. Storage and handling of
liquefied petroleum gasses must conform to LP Gas Code
ANSI / NFPA 58. Grill is not for use in or on recreational
vehicles and/or boats.

• All electrical accessories (such as rotisserie) must be
electrically grounded in accordance with local codes, or
National Electrical Code, ANSI / NFPA 70. Keep any
electrical cords and/or fuel supply hoses away from any hot
surfaces.

• This grill is safety certified for use in the United States
and/or Canada only. Do not modify for use in any other
location. Modification will result in a safety hazard.

• Do not leave appliance unattended. Keep children and
pets away from appliance at all times.

Safety Tips

s The use of alcohol, prescription or nonprescription drugs

may impair the consumer’s ability to properly assemble or
safely operate the appliance.

s When grill is not in use, disconnect 1 lb. cylinder.
s Never move grill while in operation or still hot. Allow the

appliance to cool before moving or storing.

s The regulator may make a humming or whistling noise

during operation. This will not affect safety or use of grill.

s If you have a grill problem see the Troubleshooting Section.
s Light burners. Check to make sure they are lit, close the lid

and warm up grill on high for 10 minutes. Curing of paint
and parts will produce an odor only on first lighting.

s Grill is not intended for and should never be used as a

heater.

s Clean grill often, preferably after each cookout. If a bristle

brush is used to clean any of the grill cooking surfaces,
ensure no loose bristles remain on cooking surfaces prior to
grilling. It is not recommended to clean cooking surfaces
while grill is hot.

ssUse long-handled barbecue utensils and oven mitts to avoid

burns and splatters.
If the regulator frosts, turn off grill and LP cylinder valve
immediately. This indicates a problem with the cylinder and it
should not be used on any product. Return to supplier!

Check with management to learn the requirements and fire
codes for using an LP gas grill in your apartment complex.
If allowed, use outside on the ground floor with a three (3)
foot clearance from walls or rails. Do not use on or under
balconies.

• NEVER attempt to light burner with lid closed. A
build up of non-ignited gas inside a closed grill is
hazardous.

• Never operate grill with LP cylinder out of correct
position specified in assembly instructions

LP (Liquefied Petroleum Gas)

Is nontoxic, odorless and colorless when produced.

cabbage) so that it can be smelled.

• Lp gas is highly flammable and may ignite unexpectedly
when mixed with air.

Propane Cylinder Use (1lb. Disposable)

Use only cylinder marked “Propane Fuel”.

Cylinder must be constructed and marked in accordance with
the specifications for LP-gas cylinders of the U.S. Department
of Transportation (DOT) or the National Standard of Canada,
CAN/CSA-B339, Cylinders, Spheres and Tubes for the
Transportation of Dangerous Goods.

•

Save cylinder cap and reinstall when not in use.

•

Cylinder supply system must be arranged for vapor
withdrawal. Gas cylinder must be upright in use.

Propane Gas Cylinders

- Your grill is designed to operate with one 16.4 oz. disposable
cylinder (DOT 39 Cylinder).

Do not attempt to refill any 16.4 oz. disposable fuel
cylinders.

- The cylinder must be installed, transported and stored in an
upright position and should not be dropped or handled
roughly.

- When the appliance is to be stored indoors, the propane gas
cylinder must be disconnected from the appliance.

- When the propane gas cylinder is not disconnected from the
appliance, the appliance and cylinder must be stored
outdoors in a well-ventilated space.

- The cylinder should never be transported or stored where
temperature can reach 125 °F (51 °C).

- Cylinders must be stored outdoors out of the reach of
children.

- A disconnected LP cylinder in storage or being transported
must have a safety cap installed. Failure to use safety cap as
directed may result in serious personal injury and/or property
damage.

- Do not store an LP cylinder in enclosed spaces such as a
carport, garage, porch, covered patio or other building.

Propane Cylinder Installation/Removal

Propane Cylinder Installation:

1. Remove cap from end of Propane cylinder (sold separately).

2. Cap should be kept on cylinder when not in use to prevent dirt
and debris from entering Regulator/Valve.

3. Check end of cylinder attachment for dirt and debris. Clean out
if necessary.

4. Insert threaded end of Propane Cylinder into Regulator/Valve
and hand-tighten turning cylinder clockwise as shown below.
DO NOT USE TOOLS! Over tightening can damage threads
on Regulator/Valve.

5. Perform a leak test.

Propane Cylinder Removal:

1. Turn regulator OFF.

2. Allow Grill to cool.

3. Remove the propane cylinder by turning counter-clockwise until
disengaged from the Regulator/Valve.

4. Install cap on cylinder. Cap should be kept on cylinder when not in
use to prevent dirt and debris from entering Regulator/Valve.

Leak Testing (1lb. Disposable)

• During leak test, keep grill away from open flames or sparks
and do not smoke. Grill must be leak tested out doors in a well
ventilated area.

CAUTION

SPIDER AND WEBS

INSIDE BURNER

If your appliance is getting hard to light or the flame is
weak, check and clean the venturi’s and burners.

Spiders or small insects are know to create
“flashback” problems by building nests and laying
eggs in the appliance venturi or burner obstructing the
flow of gas. The back-up gas can ignite behind the
control panel. This flashback can damage your
appliance and cause injury. To prevent flashbacks
and ensure good performance the burner and venturi
tube assembly should be removed and cleaned when
ever the appliance has been idle for an extended
period of time.

Match Lighting Instructions

Important! Remove or raise lid and cooking grate to open
position.

Attempting to light burner with lid closed may cause an
explosion. Do not expose any part of your body or clothing
directly above cooking area when lighting.

NOTE: remove cooking grate, then replace when complete.

1. Place lighted wooden match under the heat tent, neat the
burner.

2. While holding match in place, turn control knob to lighting

position. Grill will ignite.

3. Observe burner flames under the heat tent.

Make sure burner ignites and stays lit on both sides.

4. Preheat grill for 6 minutes with lid closed. Using control

knob on Regulator/Valve, adjust flame to desired height for
cooking.

General Grill Cleaning

Do not mistake brown or black accumulation of grease
and smoke for paint. Interiors of gas grills are not painted
at the factory (and should never be painted). Apply a
strong solution of detergent and water or use a grill
cleaner with scrub brush on insides of grill lid and bottom.
Rinse and allow to completely air dry. Do not apply a

caustic grill/oven cleaner to painted surfaces.

Lighting Instructions

1. Read all instructions before lighting.

2. Open or remove lid during lighting.

3. Push and turn knob on regulator/valve to HIGH position.

4. Push igniter button rapidly.

5. If ignition does not occur in 5 seconds, turn the
regulator/valve knob OFF, wait 5 minutes, and repeat the
lighting procedure.

CAUTION

If ignition does NOT occur in 5 seconds, turn the
burner control OFF, wait 5 minutes and repeat the
lighting procedure. If the burner does not ignite with
the valve open, gas will continue to flow out of the
burner and could accidently ignite with risk of injury.

Grill Maintenance

CAUTION

• Putting out grease fires by closing the lid is not possible.
Grills are well ventilated for safety reasons.

• Do not use water on a grease fire. Personal injury may
result. If a grease fire develops, turn knobs and LP
cylinder off.

• Do not leave grill unattended while preheating or burning
off food residue on HI. If grill has not been regularly
cleaned, a grease fire can occur that may damage the
product.

Before Cooking For The First Time

Operate grill for 15 minutes with the grill lid closed and the gas
control on HIGH. This will heat-clean internal components and
eliminate odor from paint finish of grill.

Turning Grill Off

- After cooking, turn the grill off by rotating the control knob to
OFF. Control knob should pop up in the OFF position. If
control knob does not pop up, disconnect cylinder to turn grill
off and replace the Regulator/Valve.

- Allow grill to cool completely before storing.

Storing Grill

- Allow grill to cool completely.

- Remove Propane Cylinder and install protective cap over
outlet threads.

- Remove Regulator/Valve from grill to help keep dirt out of the
propane cylinder probe.

- Store Regulator/Valve in a heavy plastic bag and place inside
grill.

- Fold legs up over top of grill with lid in closed position.

- Allow grill to cool before cleaning. Frequency of cleaning is
determined by how often grill is used.

- DO NOT use self-cleaning oven to clean any grill part.
Extreme heat would remove any chrome plating and cause
premature rusting.

- Meat drippings will solidify in bottom of grill after a few uses.
This residue should be removed regularly. Failure to do so
could cause overflow at bottom vent openings and increase
the chance of a grease fire.

- When cleaning grill, cover work area with newspaper.
Remove grill lid and cooking grate. Loosen residue with
scraper or putty knife. Wipe away loosened residue with
paper towels.

- Inside surface of grill may be cleaned with a strong solution
of detergent and water applied with a scrub brush. Cooking
grate may be cleaned with a wire brush. Thoroughly rinse
grill with water and allow to completely air-dry before using
again.

- Place cooking grate and lid onto grill.

- Clean grill often, preferably after each cookout. If a bristle
brush is used to clean any of the grill cooking surfaces,
ensure no loose bristles remain on cooking surfaces prior to
grilling. It is not recommended to clean cooking surfaces
while grill is hot.

Food Safety

Food safety is a very important part of enjoying the outdoor
cooking experience. To keep food safe from harmful bacteria,
follow these four basic steps:

Clean: Wash hands, utensils, and surfaces with hot soapy

water before and after handling raw meat and poultry.

Separate: Separate raw meats and poultry from ready-to

eat foods to avoid cross contamination. Use a clean platter
and utensils when removing cooked foods.

Cook: Cook meat and poultry thoroughly to kill bacteria.

Use a thermometer to ensure proper internal food
temperatures.

Chill: Refrigerate prepared foods and leftovers promptly.

This warranty only applies to units purchased from an authorized retailer. Manufacturer warrants to the original consumer-purchaser only that this
product shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials after correct assembly and under normal and reasonable home use for the periods
indicated below beginning on the date of purchase*. The manufacturer reserves the right to require that defective parts be returned, postage and or
freight pre-paid by the consumer for review and examination.

This limited warranty applies to the functionality of the product ONLY and does not cover cosmetic issues such as scratches, dents, corrosions or
discoloring by heat, abrasive and chemical cleaners or any tools used in the assembly or installation of the appliance, surface rust, or the
discoloration of stainless steel surfaces. Paint is not warranted and will require touch up. RUST is not considered a manufacturing or materials defect.

This limited warranty will not reimburse you for the cost of any inconvenience, food, personal injury or property damage.

Repair or replacement of defective parts is your exclusive remedy under the terms of this limited warranty. In the event of parts availability issues,
the manufacturer reserves the right to substitute like or similar parts that are equally functional.

Manufacturer will not be responsible for any consequential or incidental damages arising from the breach of either this limited warranty or any
applicable implied warranty, or for failure or damage resulting from acts of God, improper care and maintenance, grease fire, accident, alteration,

replacement of parts by anyone other than Manufacturer, misuse, transportation, commercial use, abuse, hostile environments (inclement weather,

acts of nature, animal tampering), improper installation or installation not in accordance with local codes or printed manufacturer instructions.

Vous trouverez ci-dessous une explication de la signification de
chaque symbole. Lisez et respectez toutes les consignes qui
apparaissent partout dans le présent guide.

1. Ne laissez jamais l'appareil fonctionner sans
surveillance.

2. Ne vous servez jamais de l'appareil à moins de 3
mètres (10 pi) de quelque matériau combustible ou
structure que ce soit, ou d'un autre réservoir de gaz de
1 lb.

3. N'utilisez jamais cet appareil à une distance de moins
de 8 m (25 pi) d'un liquide inflammable quelconque.

4. Si un incendie se déclare, éloignez-vous de l'appareil
et appelez immédiatement le service des incendies.
N'essayez pas d'éteindre un incendie d'huile ou de
graisse avec de l'eau.

Mesures de sécurité pendant l'installation

• Utilisez seulement des gaz de pétrole liquéfiés (GPL) avec le gril;
utilisez seulement le régulateur de pression de gaz et la valve du
réservoir fournis avec le gril.

• L'installation du gril doit se conformer aux codes locaux, ou en
leur absence, au national Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1/ NFPA 54.

Le stockage et la manutention des gaz de pétrole liquéfiés doivent
être conformes au LP Gas Code ANSI / NFPA 58. N'utilisez pas le
gril à l'intérieur ou sur le pont des véhicules de plaisance ou des
bateaux.

• Tous les accessoires électriques (la rôtissoire par exemple) doivent
être mis à la terre conformément aux codes locaux ou au Code
national de l'électricité, norme NFPA 70 / ANSI. Gardez les
cordons d'alimentation électrique et les tuyaux d'alimentation en
carburant éloignés de toute surface chaude.

• Ce gril est la sécurité certifié pour une utilisation aux États-

Unis et / ou du Canada seulement. Ne pas modifier pour
une utilisation dans tout autre endroit du Canada
seulement. Ne pas modifier pour une utilisation dans tout

• Ne laissez pas l'appareil sans surveillance. Gardez les enfants
et les animaux à distance de l'appareil en tout temps.

Consignes de sécurité

s La consommation d'alcool ou de médicaments, qu'ils soient en

vente libre ou sur ordonnance, peut altérer les facultés de
l'utilisateur de l'appareil pendant l'installation ou l'utilisation.

s Lorsque le gril n'est pas utilisé, déconnectez le réservoir de gaz de

1 lb.

s Ne déplacez jamais le gril lors de l'utilisation ou pendant qu'il est

encore chaud. Laissez-le refroidir avant de le déplacer ou de le
ranger.

s Le régulateur peut émettre un bourdonnement ou un sifflement en

cours de fonctionnement. Cela n'affecte ni la sécurité ni le bon
fonctionnement de l'appareil.

s En cas de problème, consultez la section « Dépannage ».
s Allumez les brûleurs, puis assurez-vous qu'ils sont bien allumés.

Fermez ensuite le couvercle et laissez le gril chauffer à l'intensité
maximale pendant 10 minutes. La surchauffe de la peinture et des
pièces produira une odeur seulement la première fois que le gril
est allumé.

s Cet appareil n'a pas été conçu pour servir de radiateur.
s Nettoyez souvent le gril, de préférence après chaque emploi. Si

une brosse avec soies est employée pour nettoyer les surfaces de
cuisson du gril, assurez-vous qu'aucune soie ne reste sur les
surfaces avant de procéder à la cuisson. Il est déconseillé de
nettoyer les surfaces de cuisson alors que le gril est encore chaud.

ssUtilisez des ustensiles de cuisson à long manche et des gants afin

d'éviter les brûlures et les éclaboussures.
Si du givre se forme sur le régulateur, éteignez le gril et fermez le

robinet du réservoir de GPL immédiatement. Cela indique que le
réservoir de gaz est défectueux et qu'il ne faut l'utiliser avec aucun
appareil. Renvoyez-le au fournisseur de gaz!

UTILISATION ET ENTRETIEN

AVERTISSEMENT

Pour utiliser votre gril en toute sécurité et pour éviter les

blessures graves :

Ne laissez pas les enfants utiliser le gril ou jouer à proximité de

celui-ci.

• Gardez l'espace autour du gril propre et exempt de toute matière
inflammable (p. ex., essence, propane ou tout autre liquide ou gaz
inflammable).

Ne bouchez pas les trous au fond ou à l'arrière du gril.

Vérifiez régulièrement les flammes du brûleur.

•

N'utilisez jamais le régulateur de ce gril avec un autre appareil autre

sont les exigences et les codes d'incendie applicables à l'utilisation
d'un gril à gaz dans votre immeuble. Si son utilisation est permise,
utilisez le gril à l'extérieur, au rez-de-chaussée, en laissant un
espace d'un mètre (3 pieds). Ne pas utiliser sur ou sous des
balcons.

N'essayez JAMAIS d'allumer un brûleur lorsque le couvercle du

gril est fermé. Une accumulation de gaz non brûlé à l'intérieur
d'un gril fermé constitue un danger. constitue un danger.

•Ne vous servez pas du gril lorsque le réservoir n'est pas en
position correcte tel que spécifié dans les instructions

GPL (gaz de pétrole liquéfiés)

•

Le GPL n'est pas toxique; il est incolore et inodore lorsqu'il

est produit.Pour votre sécurité Une odeur est ajoutée au
GPL (semblable à l'odeur de chou pourri) afin que vous
puissiez le sentir.

•

Le GPL est très inflammable et peut prendre feu de

manière inattendue lorsqu'il est en présence d'air.

Utilisation du réservoir de propane (1 lb jetable)

• Utilisez uniquement un réservoir portant la mention « gaz

propane ».

•

Les réservoirs de GPL doivent être fabriqués et étiquetés
conformément aux spécifications pour les réservoirs de
GPL du ministère des Transports des États-Unis (DOT) ou,
au Canada, aux normes CAN/CSA-B339 relatives aux
cylindres, sphères et tubes pour le transport des matières
dangereuses.

•

Conservez le capuchon du réservoir et remettez-le en place
lorsque le réservoir n'est pas utilisé.

•

Le système d'alimentation du réservoir doit être disposé de
manière à permettre l'élimination des vapeurs. Le réservoir
de gaz doit être en position verticale pendant l'utilisation.

Réservoirs de gaz propane

- Votre gril est conçu pour fonctionner avec un réservoir jetable de
16,4 oz (réservoir Dot 39).

Ne tentez pas de recharger les réservoirs jetables de 16,4 oz.

- Le réservoir doit être installé, transporté et entreposé en position
debout; veillez à ne pas le laisser tomber et à ne pas le
manipuler brusquement.

- Lorsque l'appareil est entreposé à l'intérieur, il faut débrancher le
réservoir de gaz propane de l'appareil.

- Si le réservoir de gaz propane n'est pas débranché, l'appareil et
le réservoir de gaz doivent être entreposés à l'extérieur dans un
endroit bien aéré.

- Le réservoir de gaz ne doit jamais être transporté ou entreposé
dans un endroit où la température peut atteindre 125 °F (51 °C).

- Les réservoirs de gaz doivent être entreposés à l'extérieur hors
de la portée des enfants.

- Un réservoir de GPL qui a été débranché pour le transport ou
pour l'entreposage doit comporter un capuchon de sûreté.
Faute d'utiliser le capuchon de sûreté selon les consignes, des
blessures graves et des dommages matériels pourraient
s'ensuivre.

- N'entreposez pas un réservoir de GPL dans un endroit fermé tel

Installation/Enlèvement du réservoir de propane

Installation du réservoir de propane :

1. Enlevez le capuchon du réservoir de propane (vendu
séparément).

2. Gardez le capuchon sur le réservoir lorsque l'appareil n'est pas
utilisé, afin d'empêcher que les saletés et les débris pénètrent
dans le régulateur/robinet de gaz.

3. Examinez les raccords du réservoir pour déceler la présence de
saletés et de débris. Nettoyez les raccords au besoin.

4. Insérez l'extrémité filetée du réservoir de propane dans le
régulateur/robinet de gaz et serrez à la main, en tournant le
réservoir dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre, tel qu'illustré
ci-dessous. N'UTILISEZ PAS D'OUTILS! Un serrage excessif
peut endommager le
filetage du régulateur/
robinet de gaz.

5. Effectuez un essai
d'étanchéité.

Pour enlever le réservoir de propane :

1. Tournez le régulateur sur la position OFF (arrêt).

2. Laissez le gril refroidir complètement.

3. Enlevez le réservoir de propane en le tournant dans le sens
contraire des aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à ce qu'il soit détaché du
régulateur/robinet de gaz.

4. Posez le capuchon sur le réservoir. Gardez le capuchon sur le
réservoir lorsque l'appareil n'est pas utilisé, afin d'empêcher que
les saletés et les débris pénètrent dans le régulateur/robinet de
gaz.

composée d'eau et de savon à parts égales. Utilisez un savon doux

Assurez-vous que le bouton de réglage du régulateur est sur la

nom des pièces dont vous avez besoin au
