QUICK START GUIDE
Clear Voice II VHF Microphone System
Model No. “CVS-II”
Please read all of the following instructions before attempting to use the
Mediaphile AV
1. Verify the ON-OFF Switch on both the transmitter & receiver is in the
off position.
2. Install batteries in both the transmitter & receiver; refer to pg. 11 of
CVSII User Manual. (www.cetaceasound.com)
3. Move frequency selection switch on both receiver and transmitter to
F1.
4. Slide ON-OFF switch on both receiver and transmitter to ON.
Check to see that the lights on the transmitter and receiver are on.
1. Plug the lapel microphone into the transmitter. See instructions for
Collar Mic on page 2.
2. Set up the SOUND SYSTEM according to its instructions.
3. Plug the SOUND SYSTEM power supply to a wall outlet.
4. Turn SOUND SYSTEM volume control knob to mute.
5. Clip lapel microphone vertically on your shirt placket within 8 inches
of your throat, foam ball must point straight up.
6. Slowly turn up SOUND SYSTEM volume control knob until voice is
heard.
7. If you hear feedback, turn down the volume.
VERY IMPORTANT: When connecting the CVSII receiver
directly to a sound system like any of those sold by Cetacea Sound
Corp, i.e., Mediaphile AV, PAS, PASII, WASP, Ensemble, or
others, you must connect the sound system to the LINE OUTPUT
located on the receiver. Do not connect the sound system to the
MIC OUT.

If the red lights do not stay on:
1. Replace batteries & verify that ON-OFF switches on transmitter &
receiver are “ON”.
2. Try moving ON-OFF Switch on both transmitter & receiver.
3. If lights do not stay on, call Cetacea Sound Corp technical support for
further assistance at 800-556-1922.

Collar Microphone Option:
1. Remove foam ball from microphone element and verify that it is
facing straight toward the user’s mouth. Some adjustment may be
necessary.
2. Adjust collar portion by bending neckpiece like a horseshoe until it
fits comfortably.
3. Check photos on our web site for correct positioning.
