1. GPS SAF E

1.1 Introduzione

GPS SAFE è un dispositivo di localizzazione satellitare portatile e facile da usare: potete portarlo con voi per registrare i vostri percorsi quotidiani, darlo in dotazione a rappresentanti per la localizzazione dei loro viaggi di lavoro, ad anziani e bambini per la loro sicurezza, e tanto altro ancora.

2. PRIMA DI UTILIZZAR E IL DISPOSI TIVO

Prima di utilizzare GPS SAFE è necessario seguire la procedura di seguito descritta:

1. Aprire il coperchio copri batteria; inserire la SIM card e la batteria.

Per inserire la SIM card: Aprire il coperchio sul retro svitandolo come illustrato sul coperchio stesso. Inserire la SIM card come descritto nelle fasi seguenti: inserirla nello spazio predisposto (fase 1) e spostarla a sinistra (fase 2).

2. Installare il software Track Manager e il driver del dispositivo sul PC. (CD software)

3. Una volta entrati in Track Manager, cliccare “Manual” per un supporto on-line dettagliato.

4. Avviare il Track Manager per completare le imposta-

zioni hardware inserendo un prolo di localizzazione

e i numeri di emergenza per GPS SAFE. Assicurarsi che il codice PIN della SIM card sia inserito quando richiesto.

consultare Device Conguration).

5. Caricare GPS SAFE via USB per almeno 4 ore prima di utilizzarlo per la prima volta.

6. Una volta caricato completamente, staccare GPS SAFE

dal PC. Si accenderà automaticamente e un LED verde lampeggerà una volta ogni 5 secondi.

7. Il dispositivo è ora pronto per essere utilizzato. Invia-

re un messaggio “Position” a GPS SAFE dal telefono dell’amministratore come riportato sul supporto online per capire come funziona.

Una volta pronto per iniziare le operazioni di localizzazione, invia un messaggio di testo al dispositivo:

• Inviare un messaggio di testo al dispositivo dal telefono dell’amministratore contenente la parola “Position”.

• Si riceverà un messaggio di risposta contenente un

indirizzo URL corrispondente alla mappa relativa alla vostra posizione attuale.

Cliccare sull’indirizzo URL; apparirà una mappa relativa

alla vostra posizione attuale.

Nota:

1. Non collegare il cavo USB al PC prima di avere installato

il software.

2. Cliccando sull’indirizzo URL contenuto nell’SMS potreb-

be esservi addebitato un costo per la fruizione del servizio in base al piano dati prescelto. Contattare il vostro gestore telefonico per ulteriori dettagli.

Il LED GPS emette una luce Blu intermittente una volta ogni 5 secondi per indicare

che il GPS è acceso ma non è ancora stato stabilito un allacciamento.

Allacciamento GPS

Il LED GPS emette una doppia luce Blu per indicare

che è stato stabilito un allacciamento.

SOS o

chiamata

I LED di accensione Rosso e Verde e il LED GPS Blu rimangono accesi in caso di

SOS o durante una chiamata.

SOS: genera un segnale acustico di allerta. Chiamata: genera un segnale di linea libera.

Errore dispositivo/ Anomalia

Il LED di errore emette

una luce fissa Rossa per indicare un errore del dispositivo oppure un’anomalia

hardware.

Nota: Per maggiori informazioni sull’errore, collegare GPS Safe al software Track Manager.

4. CONFIGURAZIONE DEL DISPOSITIVO

La configurazione del dispositivo deve concludersi prima di iniziare le operazioni di localizzazione con GPS SAFE. Seguire le istruzioni sotto riportate per completare la configurazione del dispositivo GPS SAFE:

1. Avviare Track Manager.

2. Una volta entrati in Track Manager, cliccare

sulla barra del menu principale per completare le impostazioni hardware.

4.1 Impostazioni generali

• I nformazioni sul dispositivo: Completare i campi device name e phone number di GPS SAFE e inserire il PIN Code richiesto per la SIM Card.

• I campi Device name, Phone number e Admin phone

#1 sono obbligatori e i numeri di telefono devono com-

prendere il presso nazionale e quello locale.

- Tracker Icon: Selezionare il tipo di localizzazione a cui

è destinato GPS SAFE.

- Language: Selezionare la lingua per i messaggi di

avviso via SMS.

• SOS Settings: Inserire al massimo 5 numeri di telefono

per le richieste di SOS.

Il campo Admin phone #1 è obbligatorio in quanto si

tratta del numero di SOS che GPS SAFE chiamerà in caso di emergenza.

• Select Prole: Selezionare un prolo tra le 5 opzioni

elencate.

Per ogni prolo selezionato, è possibile scegliere se

trasmettere la propria posizione o la richiesta di SOS

via Text Messages (SMS) o GPRS connection.

- Volume: Regolare il volume del ricevitore audio o

dell’altoparlante.

Nota: Attenzione a non avvicinarsi troppo all’altopar-

lante in modalità vivavoce per evitare eventuali danni all’udito.

- Emergency SMS Report: Selezionare le situazioni

per le quali si vuole ricevere un avviso di emergenza via SMS, ad esempio SOS event, Free-fall event,

Geofence event, Unexpected movement event, e Battery-low event.

- Report tracking data via: Selezionare il modo in cui

volete che siano trasmessi i dati di localizzazione, via

SMS to the Admin phone, GPRS connection to the server, o none.

Se GPRS Connection to server è selezionato, cliccare

SAFE sul Tracking Server.

Durante la registrazione, creare un nuovo account per

il Tracking Server oppure accedere con le credenziali

già in possesso in caso di utente già registrato.

- Tracking Interval: Selezionare l’intervallo di localizza- zione per GPS SAFE.

- Report Interval: Selezionare l’intervallo per determinare la frequenza di invio di un report di localizzazione da parte di GPS SAFE.

- Free-fall detection: Questa opzione avvisa il proprie- tario quando il dispositivo cade da un’altezza elevata. Situazioni come questa potrebbero verificarsi quando il dispositivo viene utilizzato ad altitudini elevate, durante arrampicate, escursioni di trekking, ecc.

- Unexpected movement detection: Questa opzione avvisa il proprietario quando vengono rilevati spostamenti del dispositivo per il periodo di tempo impostato.

Nota: La rete GSM non viene attivata fino al rilevamento di spostamenti da parte di GPS SAFE, pertanto la ricezione dell’SMS di allerta sarà successiva al momento in cui è stato rilevato lo spostamento.

- Reset: Cliccare per ripristinare le impostazioni hard-

ware di default.

4.2 Geo-perimetrale

Cliccare

per impostare il perimetro dell’area da controllare trascinando e spostando la cornice visualizzata sulla mappa.

• Enable Geofence Alert: Cliccare per attivare la ricezio-

ne di segnalazioni di allerta geo -perimetrale.

- Alert Type: Decide re se s i vogl iono ricevere le

segnalazioni di allerta geo-perimetrale quando il dispositivo entra nell’area soggetta al controllo geoperimetrale, esce da tale area o in entrambi i casi.

- Geofence Area: Qui si possono verificare le dimen-

sioni dell’area soggetta al controllo geo-perimetrale.

• Disable Geofence Alert: Cliccare per disattivare la

ricezione di segnalazioni di allerta geo -perimetrale.

5. FUNZIONAMENTO

5.1 Funzione tasti

Accensione

Premere il tasto di accensione per 2 secondi.

Accende o spegne GPS SAFE.

Chiamata

Premere il tasto di chiamata per 2 secondi.

1. Invia una chiamata a selezione rapida al telefono dell’amministratore.

2. Risponde ad una chiamata quando GPS SAFE squilla.

3. Interrompe una chiamata.

SOS

Premere il tasto di SOS

per 2 secondi.

Invia la richiesta di SOS. La richiesta di SOS

può essere disattivata premendo il tasto di chiamata o di accensione.

Chiamata + Accensione

1. Rimuovere la batteria.

2. Premere i tasti chiamata + accensione contemporaneamente e inserire nuovamente la batteria. Tenere premuti i due tasti fino al completo inserimento della batteria.

Ripristina le impostazioni di fabbrica del dispositivo.

5.2 SOS

Funzione SOS Per inviare una richiesta di SOS:

1. Premere il tasto SOS per 2 secondi per attivare l’allarme SOS.

2. Una volta attivo, i LED di accensione VERDE/ROSSO e il LED GPS BLU rimarranno accesi.

3. Il dispositivo emetterà quindi un segnale acustico

di allerta.

4. Il GPS inizierà la procedura di allacciamento al punto

in cui vi trovate.

5. Prima di un allacciamento GPS, la richiesta di SOS verrà trasmessa a tutti i numeri di telefono di emergenza pre-impostati e successivamente sarà inviata

nuovamente ad allacciamento avvenuto.

6. Quando viene trasmessa una richiesta di SOS, GPS SAFE ini zierà a chiamare i numeri di emergen za

nell’ordine in cui sono stati impostati. Se un numero di telefono risulta irraggiungibile per 2 minuti, GPS

SAFE passerà al numero successivo e così via.

7. Se la richiesta di SOS non è interrotta, GPS SAFE ripe- terà le fasi 5 e 6 in base all’intervallo di SOS impostato

(di default una volta ogni 15 minuti).

Nota:

1. Cliccare sull’indirizzo URL indicato nell’SMS; apparirà

una mappa relativa alla posizione attuale.

2. Cliccando sull’indirizzo URL contenuto nell’SMS

potrebbe esservi addebitato un costo per la fruizione del servizio in base al piano dati prescelto. Contattare il vostro gestore telefonico per ulteriori dettagli.

Come interrompere una richiesta di SOS:

1. La richiesta di SOS si interrompe automaticamente

quando viene data risposta alla segnalazione che, quindi, si considera conclusa.

2. Premere una volta il tasto di accensione o di chiamata

di GPS SAFE per interrompere la richiesta di SOS.

3. Anche inviando un messaggio contenente il comando “Dismiss” (senza virgolette) dal telefono dell’ammi-

nistratore si potrà interrompere la richiesta di SOS.

4. Cliccare “Dismiss SOS” sull’ITC e la richiesta di SOS sarà interrotta al successivo collegamento di GPS SAFE al Tracking Center.

Importante: Il dispositivo funziona con segnali radio, reti

wireless, reti terrestri e funzioni impostate dall’utente. Il collegamento non può essere garantito in qualsiasi situazione. Non affidarsi mai unicamente ai dispositivi wireless per comunicazioni estremamente importanti come emergenze mediche.

5.3 Chiamata

Per effettuare una chiamata a selezione rapida:

1. Premere il tasto di chiamata per 2 secondi e GPS SAFE

effettuerà una chiamata a selezione rapida verso il

telefono dell’amministratore.

2. Il LED di accensione ROSSO/VERDE e il LED GPS BLU

rimangono accesi durante una chiamata.

3. Dopo avere premuto il tasto di chiamata, sarà generato un tono di portante che segnala un tentativo di chiamata.

4. Una volta terminata la chiamata, potete premere il tasto di chiamata o il tasto di accensione per riattaccare.

Per rispondere ad una chiamata in entrata:

1. Quando la rete GSM è abilitata, GPS SAFE è in grado di ricevere chiamate provenienti dal telefono dell’amministratore o dai numeri di emergenza precedentemente impostati.

2. Quando GPS SAFE squilla, è sufficiente premere il tasto di chiamata per rispondere.

3. Una volta terminata la chiamata, potete premere nuovamente il tasto di chiamata per riattaccare.

Nota: Non sarà possibile ricevere chiamate provenienti da numeri diversi da quello dell’amministratore o da quelli di emergenza; GPS SAFE non squillerà nemmeno per av vertirvi dell’arrivo di queste chiamate.

5.4 Audio sorveglianza

Per attivare l’audio sor veglianza su GPS SAFE è possibile:

1. Inviare dal telefono dell’amministratore a GPS SAFE un SMS contenente il testo “Listen”.

2. In seguito alla ricezione dell’SMS, GPS SAFE invierà automaticamente una chiamata al telefono dell’amministratore senza avvertire il proprietario.

3. Nel frattempo, l’altoparlante di GPS SAFE è disattiva-

to mentre il microfono viene amplificato.

4. La chiamata di audio sorveglianza si concluderà automaticamente dopo 30 minuti come di default.

5. Di conseguenza, saranno ripristinate le normali impostazioni dell’altoparlante e del microfono.

5.5 Report

Per ricevere un report sulla posizione del dispositivo:

1. Inviare dal telefono dell’amministratore a GPS SAFE un SMS contenente il testo “Position”.

2. Dopo l’avvenuta ricezione dell’SMS, GPS SAFE si col- legherà a un punto di allacciamento e trasmetterà i

dettagli della propria posizione al telefono dell’amministratore via SMS.

Ogni 900 secondi sarà trasmessa una richiesta di SOS fino a quando quest’ultima non sarà disattivata.

Disattivazione richiesta SOS

Dismiss

Questo comando disattiva la localizzazione di richieste di SOS. In caso di disattivazione, sarà inviato un messaggio di risposta al comando “Dismiss”.

Attivazione localizzazione costante

Start

Questo comando consente al localizzatore GPS di trasmettere costantemente i propri dettagli relativi alla posizione; rispondere “Start:OK” una volta attivata la funzione di localizzazione costante.

Interruzione localizzazione costante

Stop

Questo comando consente a GPS SAFE di interrompere la trasmissione costante dei propri dettagli relativi alla posizione; rispondere “Stop:OK” una volta disattivata la funzione di localizzazione costante.

*Impostazione intervallo di registrazione della posizione

Log=900

Questo comando consente al localizzatore GPS di registrare la propria posizione ogni 900 secondi.

*Impostazione intervallo report di localizzazione e

modalità di localizzazione

Report=900,SMS Report=900,GPRS

Questo comando consente al localizzatore GPS di trasmettere la propria posizione ogni 900 secondi.

SMS: Report di localizzazione via SMS. GPRS: Report di localizzazione trasmesso al Tracking Server.

*Impostazione intervallo Heartbeat

Response=3600

Questo comando consente al localizzatore GPS di collegarsi al Tracking Server ogni 3600 secondi.

Nota: I collegamenti possono avvenire anche se il dispositivo è impostato sulla modalità per il rilevamento degli spostamenti in “sleep mode”.

Attivazione allerta geoperimetrale

Zone=ON Questo comando attiva l’allarme geo-perimetrale.

Disattivazione allerta geo-

perimetrale

Zone=OFF Questo comando disattiva l’allarme geo-perimetrale.

Attivazione audio sorveglianza

Listen

Questo comando consente al localizzatore GPS di chiamare il numero dell’amministratore e di attivare quindi l’audio sorveglianza.

La chiamata relativa all’audio sorveglianza si interromperà automaticamente dopo

30 minuti.

*Nota: Gli intervalli possono essere impostati ad una distanza massima di 86400 secondi (1 giorno) l’uno dall’altro.

6. TRACK MANAGER

Grazie ai progressi compiuti dalla rete GPS mondiale, è ora possibile aggiornare il vostro dispositivo per la localizzazione satellitare. Track Manager è uno strumento pratico e compatto che può essere utilizzato per analizzare tutti i dati di localizzazione.

6.1 Aspetto dell’interfaccia utente

Barra menu principale

La barra del menu principale consente un rapido accesso alle funzioni principali e alle relative informazioni.

Import GPS Track: Cliccare per avviare la funzione Import Wizard per importare i dati di localizzazione GPS.

New Activity: Cliccare per aggiungere una nuova attività.

Hardware Settings: Cliccare per personalizzare le modalità di localizzazione di GPS SAFE.

Clear Device Data: Cliccare per eliminare le registrazioni GPS salvate su GPS SAFE.

Software Settings: Cliccare per personalizzare le impostazioni software del Track Manager.

Help: Cliccare per aprire la guida di supporto.

6.2 Impostazioni software

Dopo il primo avvio del Track Manager, sarà richiesto di completare le impostazioni software.

oppure cliccare

sulla barra del menu principale per configurare il Track Manager.

1. Time Zone: Selezionare il fuso orario relativo alla posizione attuale.

Di default sarà selezionato il fuso orario corrispondente alla configurazione del sistema.

2. Measurement: Selezionare il sistema metrico o il

sistema imperiale per impostare l’unità di misura delle

registrazioni GPS.

6.3 Importazione dati di localizzazione

Per importare dati di localizzazione GPS già esistenti da GPS SAFE, memory card micro-SD o da un file:

1. Cliccare

sulla barra del menu principale per av-

viare la funzione Import Wizard.

Selezionare la fonte (GPS SAFE, memory card o file) dei dati di localizzazione da importare e cliccare Next per continuare.

2. Se si sceglie di importare dati di localizzazione da una

memory card, sarà richiesto di selezionare la cartella

in cui tali dati sono salvati.

Se si sceglie di importare dati di localizzazione da una

file GPS già esistente (*.gpk, *.gpx), sarà richiesto di

indicare la posizione del file.

3. La funzione Import Wizard inizierà a scaricare i dati di

localizzazione dalla fonte selezionata.

4. I dati di localizzazione saranno importati correttamente.

6.4 Aggiungere una nuova attività

Per aggiungere una nuova attività (riguardante sport, attività personali, lavoro, ecc):

1. Cliccare

sulla barra del menu principale per ini-

ziare ad aggiungere una nuova attività.

2. Selezionare la traccia/le tracce dall’elenco e cliccare Next per continuare.

3. La funzione di Import Wizard inizierà ad elaborare i

dati di localizzazione.

4. Una nuova attività sarà creata.

6.5 Calendario attività

Il calendario offre una visione chiara delle attività alle

quali avete partecipato nel corso del mese indicato.

1. Muovere il mouse sopra l’icona dell’attività indicata sul calendario e comparirà una finestra di pop-up con i dettagli dell’attività in questione.

2. Cliccare sull’icona dell’attività e il tracciato/il percor-

so della stessa saranno evidenziati sulla mappa di Google a destra.

3. Usare le frecce per visualizzare più attività per una

giornata.

4. Usare le frecce pe r cambiare mese e visualizzare

quindi altre attività.

5. Cliccare con il tasto destro sull’icona dell’attività ripor-

tata sul calendario per visualizzare più opzioni:

• Delete: L’attività selezionata può essere eliminata.

• Export to GPX: L’attività selezionata può essere espor-

tata in un file GPX (.gpx).

• Export to CSV: L’attività selezionata può essere espor-

tata in un file CSV (.csv).

• Reload Map: La mappa dell’attività selezionata sarà

aggiornata.

• Update Cell-Tower Fix: L’allacciamento GSM verrà

ripristinato attraverso il server.

6.6 Analisi attività

1. La tabella in basso a sinistra offre un quadro gene-

rale e un elenco di waypoint rilevati per l’attività

selezionata.

2. Il grafico in basso a destra offre 6 diverse visualizzazioni di tracciati con le relative misurazioni.

3. Utilizzare l’asse tratteggiato per muoversi orizzontalmente avanti e indietro verso un punto fisso; in questo modo sarà possibile visualizzare la posizione di

tale punto fisso indicato con

4. Trascinare e muovere gli assi

e per eviden-

ziare una sezione dell’attività.

5. La se conda colonna della tabella relativa ai dati

dell’attività indica i dati dell’attività completa, mentre

7. INFORMAZIONI SUL PRODOTTO E SULLA SICUREZZA

7.1 Cura del dispositivo

Il vostro dispositivo è un prodotto di qualità e design superiori, pertanto va trattato con estrema cura. Di

seguito sono riportati alcuni suggerimenti utili a non compromettere il diritto alla copertura della garanzia.

• Mantenere il dispositivo in un luogo asciutto. La

pioggia, l’umidità, la condensa e tutti i tipi di liquidi

contengono minerali in grado di corrodere i circuiti elettronici. Se il dispositivo dovesse bagnarsi, rimuovere la batteria e lasciarlo asciugare completamente prima di inserirla nuovamente.

• Non utilizzare né conservare il dispositivo in luoghi polverosi o sporchi. Le parti mobili e i componenti elettronici possono danneggiarsi facilmente.

• Non con servare il dispositivo in luoghi soggetti a temperature molto elevate o molto basse. Le alte temperature incidono sulla durata dei dispositivi elettronici, ne danneggiano le batterie e possono deformare o fondere le parti in plastica. Quando il dispositivo passa da una temperatura rigida ad una temperatura normale, è possibile la formazione di condensa al suo interno che provoca danni ai circuiti elettronici.

• Non cercare di aprire il dispositivo in altri modi non descritti nel presente manuale.

• Evitare cadute, urti o oscilla zioni eccessive. L’uso

improprio o non corretto del dispositivo può danneggiare la meccanica e i circuiti interni.

• Non utilizzare agenti chimici, detergenti o solventi aggressivi per la pulizia del dispositivo. Utilizzare solamente un panno morbido, pulito e asciutto per pulire la superficie del dispositivo.

• Per una prestazione ottimale resettare di tanto in tanto il dispositivo spegnendolo e rimuovendo la batteria.

7.2 Condizioni ambientali di funzionamento

1. Dispositivi medici

Il funzi onamento di attrezzature di trasmissione

radio, compresi i telefoni wireless, potrebbero interferire con il funzionamento di dispositivi medici non adeguatamente protetti. Consultare un medico o il produttore del dispositivo medico per accertarsi che quest’ultimo sia opportunamente schermato contro l’energia di radiofrequenza esterna. Spegnere il dispositivo in presenza di norme che vi chiedono di farlo. Negli ospedali o nelle strutture sanitarie potrebbero essere presenti attrezzature sensibili all’energia di radiofrequenza esterna.

2. Dispositivi medici impiantati

I produttori di dispositivi medici raccomandano una

distanza minima di 15,3 centimetri (6 pollici) tra un dispositivo wireless e un dispositivo medico impiantato, ad esempio pacemaker o defibrillatori cardiaci impiantati, per evitare eventuali interferenze. I portatori di tali dispositivi dovrebbero:

• Mantenere sempre una distanza superiore a 15,3

centimetri (6 pollici) tra il dispositivo wireless e il

dispositivo medico.

• Evitare di tenere il dispositivo wireless nel taschino.

3. Veicoli

Le radiofrequenze possono compromettere il funzionamento di sistemi elettronici installati o schermati in modo inappropriato all’interno di veicoli a motore, ad esempio il sistema elettronico di iniezione del carburante, l’ABS elettronico, il controllo elettronico della

velocità e i sistemi airbag.

Per ulteriori informazioni, consultare il costruttore del veicolo o dell’equipaggiamento in questione. La manutenzione e l’installazione del dispositivo in un veicolo possono essere effettuate unicamente da personale qualificato. Un’installazione o una manutenzione inadeguate potrebbero rivelarsi pericolose e invalidare la garanzia. Controllare regolarmente che

tutti i dispositivi wireless del veicolo siano montati e

funzionino correttamente. Non conservare o trasportare liquidi infiammabili, gas o sostanze esplosive nello stesso scompartimento in cui sono presenti il dispositivo, i suoi componenti o accessori. Tenere presente che gli airbag si gonfiano con grande forza. Non posizionare il dispositivo o i suoi accessori nell’area di gonfiaggio dell’airbag. Spegnere il dispositivo prima di imbarcarsi su un aeromobile. L’utilizzo di tele dispositivi wireless a bordo di un aeromobile potrebbe compromettere le funzioni dell’aeromobile stesso, nonché essere illegale.

7.3 Batteria

La batteria può essere caricata e scaricata innumerevoli volte, ma è soggetta all’usura del tempo. Sostituire la batteria quando l’autonomia di conversazione e i tempi di stand-by sono decisamente inferiori al normale.

• Rimozione sicura.

Spegnere il dispositivo e scollegare il caricabatteria

prima di rimuovere la batteria.

• Evitare temperature estreme.

Si consiglia di mantenere la batteria a una temperatura

compresa tra i 15°C e i 25°C (59°F e 77°F). Le temperature estreme riducono la capacità e la vita della batteria.

Un dispositivo con una batteria calda o fredda potrebbe temporaneamente non funzionare. Le prestazioni della batteria sono notevolmente limitate quando la temperatura scende al di sotto dello zero.

• Smaltimento.

Non gettare le batterie nel fuoco perché potrebbero

esplodere. Smaltire le batterie in base alle normative locali. Si raccomanda di riciclare se possibile. Non gettarle nei rifiuti domestici.

• Uso corretto.

Usare la batteria soltanto allo scopo previsto. Un uso

improprio della batteria potrebbe causare incendi, esplosioni o altri pericoli. Se il dispositivo o la batteria cadono, in particolare su una superficie dura, e credete che la batteria si sia danneggiata, rivolgersi ad un centro di assistenza per un controllo prima di continuare ad us arla. Non impiegare caricabatterie o batter ie danneggiati. Tenere la batteria fuori dalla por tata di bambini piccoli.

7.4 Ricarica permanente

È possibile ricaricare GPS SAF E con un sistema di alimentazione permanente non incluso nella confezione. Rivolgersi al nostro rivenditore per informazioni.

2. GETTI NG STARTED

To get started with your GPS SAFE, please follow the steps described below:

1. Open the battery cover; insert the SIM card and bat-

tery.

To insert the SIM card, please:

Open the back cover by unscrewing it as illustrated on

the cover.

Insert your SIM card as shown in the following steps: rst push it down in the slot (step 1), and then slide it leftwards (step 2).

2. Install Track Manager Software and device driver on PC. (Software CD)

3. On Track Manager, click “Manual” for a detailed on-line

help.

4. Launch Track Manager to complete hardware settings by setting up a tracking prole and SOS numbers for

the GPS SAFE.

Make sure the PIN Code of the SIM card is entered

when required.

(See more information about hardware settings in

Device Conguration.

5. Charge the GPS SAFE via USB for at least 4 hours prior

to rst use.

6. Once the GPS SAFE is fully charged, have it unplugged from PC, and it will power on automatically with a Green LED ashing once every 5 seconds.

7. The device is now ready to use. Please send a “Posi-

tion“ message to the GPS SAFE via admin’s phone as

instructed in the online help to see how it works.

Once you’re ready to track, send a test message to the

tracker to get started:

• Send a text message including “Position” as the message content to the tracker from the Admin phone.

• You should then receive a reply message including an URL to the map where you’re currently located.

Click on the URL, and you’ll see a map indicating your current position.

Note:

1. Do not plug in the USB cable to PC before you install the

software.

2. A service charge may be incurred by clicking on the

URL in the SMS message depending on your data plan subscribed. Contact your mobile service provider for more details.

3. LED IND ICATION

4. DEVICE CONFIGURATION

Device congurations must be completed prior to starting tracking with your GPS SAFE. To complete device conguration of your GPS SAFE, please follow the instructions below:

1. Launch Track Manager.

2. On Track Manager, click

on the main menu bar

to complete hardware settings.

4.1 Main

• Device Information: Fill in the device name and phone number of your GPS SAFE, along with the PIN Code required for your SIM Card.

• Device name, Phone number and Admin phone #1 entries are mandatory, and phone numbers must include country code and area code.

- Tracker Icon: Select the type of tracker your G PS

SAFE is.

- Language: Select the language of the SMS notica-

tion messages.

• SOS Settings: Fill in at most 5 sets of phone numbers

for SOS alerts.

The entry of Admin phone #1 is mandatory, for it is the

SOS phone number that GPS SAFE will call out to in case of emergency.

• Select Prole: Select a prole from the listed 5 op-

tions.

For each selected prole, you can also decide whether

to report your position or SOS alert via Text Messages

(SMS) or GPRS connection.

- Volume: Adjust the volume of the audio receiver

or speaker.

Note: Please be cautious and do not press close against the speaker in loud speaker mode to avoid possible hearing damage.

- Emergency SMS Report: Select the event that you

want to receive an emergency report for via SMS,

such as SOS event, Free-fall event, Geofence event, Unexpected movement event, and Battery-low event.

- Report tracking data via: Select the method how

you want the tracking data be reported, either via

SMS to the Admin phone, GPRS connection to the server, or none. If GPRS Connection to server is selected, click Register to Server to register your GPS SAFE with the

Tracking Server rst. While registering, create a new account with the Tracking Server or log in with your account informa-

tion if you’re an existing user.

- Tracking Interval: Select the tracking interval for your GPS SAFE.

- Report Interval: Select the interval for your GPS SAFE to send a tracking report.

- Free-fall detection: This option alerts the owner

when the device falls down from somewhere with great altitude. Cases like this include working at a spot with great heights, mountain climbing or hik-

ing and etc.

- Unexpected movement detection: This option

alerts the owner when the device has been detected with movement for the time period selected.

Note: Since GSM is not activated until the GPS SAFE de-

tects movements, the time of SMS alert received will be later than the time of movements detected.

- Reset: Click to reset hardware settings back to de- faults.

4.2 Geofence

Click

to set the geofence area by dragging and

moving the frame shown on the map.

• Enable Geofence Alert: Click to start receiving geofence alerts.

- Alert Type: Select whether you want to receive the

geofence alert when the device enters the geofence

area, exits the geofence area or both.

- Geofence Area: Here lists the measurement details of

the geofence area.

• Disable Geofence Alert: Click to stop receiving geofence alerts.

5.1 Button control

5.2 SOS

SOS function To send out a SOS alert:

1. Press down the SOS button for 2 seconds to activate SOS alarm.

2. When it is activated, the GREEN/RED power LEDs and BLUE GPS LED will stay on.

3. The device will then start an alerting/warning sound.

4. GPS will start getting a x of where you are.

5. SOS alerts will be submitted to all the SOS phone numbers that are previously dened before a GPS x

has been determined, and will be re -submitted again when a x has been acquired.

6. Once SOS alerts are submitted, the GPS SAFE will

start calling SOS phone numbers based on priorities congured. If one phone number cannot be reached within 2 minutes, the GPS SAFE will proceed with the

next phone number in priority and so on.

7. Before the SOS emergency is cleared, the GPS SAFE

will repeat steps 5 and 6 based on the SOS interval

(once every 15 mins by default) as needed.

Note:

1. Click on the URL shown in the SMS message, and you’ll see a map indicating your current position.

2. A service charge may be incurred by clicking on the URL in the SMS message depending on your data plan subscribed. Contact your mobile ser vice provider for more details.

How to dismiss a SOS alert:

1. The SOS alert will be dismissed automatically after the

call is answered and nished.

2. Press the Power or Call button once on the GPS SAFE

will dismiss the SOS alert.

3. Send out a message containing the command

“Dismiss” (excluding the quotes) from the Admin

phone will also dismiss the SOS alert.

4. Click on “Dismiss SOS” on ITC, and the SOS alert will be

dismissed upon the next connection of the GPS SAFE and Tracking Center.

Important: This device operates using radio signals, wire-

less networks, landline networks, and user-programmed functions. Connections in all conditions cannot be guaranteed. You should never rely solely on any wireless device for essential communications like medical emergencies.

5.3 Call

To make a quick-dial:

1. Press down the Call button for 2 seconds, and the GPS SAFE will enable the quick-dial to the Admin phone.

2. The RED/GREEN power LED and BLUE GPS LED will stay on while a call is being made.

3. After pressing the Call button, a telecommunication car-

rier tone will appear, indicating a call is being attempted.

4. Once the call is answered, you can then push the Call or Power button to hang up and nish the call.

To answer a call coming in the GPS SAFE:

1. When GSM is enabled, the GPS SAFE is capable of re -

ceiving calls made from the Admin/SOS phone number previously dened.

2. When the GPS SAFE rings, simply press the Call button

to answer the call.

3. Once the call is answered, you can then push the Call button again to hang up and nish the call.

Note: Calls that are not made from the Admin or SOS phone numbers will not come through, and nor will the GPS SAFE ring.

5.4 Audio Surveillance

To start audio surveillance on the GPS SAFE, you may:

1. Send a SMS message including “Listen” as the message content from the Admin phone to the GPS SAFE.

2. Afters the SMS message is received, the GPS SAFE will return a call back to the Admin phone automatically

and silently without alerting the owner.

3. In the meanwhile, the speaker of the GPS SAFE is muted while the MIC is amplied.

4. This surveillance call will be ended automatically in 30

minutes by default.

5. Consequently, the speaker and MIC will go back to

normal state.

5.5 Report

To report device position:

1. Send a SMS message from the Admin phone to the

GPS SAFE including “Position” as the message content.

2. After the SMS message is received, the GPS SAFE will

start obtaining a x and report its position details

back to the Admin phone via SMS.

This command enables the GPS Tracker to connect with the Tracking Server once every

3600 seconds.

Note: Connection can be established even when the device is set on motion detection entering the sleep mode.

Activate Geofence

Zone=ON This command activates Geofenace area.

De-activate Geofence

Zone=OFF This command de-activates Geofence area.

Activate audio surveillance

Listen

This command enables the GPS Tracker to call out to the Admin phone and then activate audio surveillance.

This surveillance call will hang up automatically in 30 minutes.

*Note: Intervals can be set at most 86400 seconds (1 day).

6. TRACK MANAGER

With the advancement of global positioning system net work, you can now advance your GPS tracking to the next

level.

Track Manager is a small and handy tool that can be utilized to analyze all sorts of track data.

6.1 UI Overview

Main menu bar

Main menu bar allows you to quickly access the main functions and information concerned.

Import GPS Track: Click to to launch Import Wizard to import GPS track data.

New Activity: Click to add a new activity.

Hardware Settings: Click to customize the tracking modes of your GPS SAFE.

Clear Device Data: Click to clear the GPS logs saved on your GPS SAFE.

Software Settings: Click to customize the software settings of Track Manager.

Help: Click to bring up the Help le.

6.2 Software Settings

Upon the launch of Track Manager for the rst time, you’ll be prompted to complete software settings.

1. Time Zone: Select the time zone of your current location.

By default, the selection of time zone will be presented according to your system conguration.

2. Measurement: Select either I mperial or Metric as your measurement unit for GPS logging.

6.3 Import Track

To import existing GPS track data from the GPS SAFE,

Micro-SD memory card or le, you may:

1. Click

on the main menu bar to launch Import

Wizard.

Select the source of your track data (GPS SAFE, memory card or le) to be imported, and click Next to continue.

2. If you choose to import track data from a memory

card, you’ll be prompted to select the folder where

the track data are saved.

If you choose to import track data from an existing GPS

le (*.gpk, *.gpx), you’ll be prompted to locate the le.

3. The Import Wizard will then start downloading track

data from selected source.

4. Finally, the track data are then successfully imported.

6.4 Add New Activity

To add a new activity (whether spor ts, personal, business related and etc.), you may:

1. Click

on the main menu bar to start adding a

new activity.

2. Select track(s) from the list, and click Next to continue.

3. The Import Wizard will then start processing track

data.

4. Finally, an activity is then created.

6.5 Activity Calendar

The calendar gives a clear view of all the activities you’ve

participated in the month indicated.

1. Move your mouse over the activity icon shown on the calendar, and a description bubble will pop up dis-

playing the activity details.

2. Click on the activity icon, and the activity track/route

will be highlighted on the Google map at the right.

3. Click on the arrows to see more activities in one day.

4. Click on the arrows to go between month pages to

see more activities.

7. PRODUC T & SAFETY IN FORMATION

7.1 Taking care of your device

Your device is a product of superior design and craftsman-

ship and should be treated with care. The following suggestions will help you protect your warranty coverage.

• Keep the device dry. Precipitation, humidity, and all types of liquids or moisture can contain minerals that

will corrode electronic circuits. If your device does get wet, remove the battery, and allow the device to dry

completely before replacing it.

• Do not use or store the device in dusty, dirty areas. Its

moving parts and electronic components can be damaged.

• Do not store the device in high or cold temperature.

High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic

devices, damage batteries, and warp or melt certain plastics. When the device warms to its normal temper-

ature from a cold temperature, moisture can form inside the device and damage electronic circuit boards.

• Do not attempt to open the device other than as in- structed in this guide.

• Do not drop, knock, or shake the device. Rough handling can break internal circuit boards and ne me-

chanics.

• Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the device. Only use a soft,

clean, dry cloth to clean the surface of the device.

• To reset the device from time to time for optimum per-

formance, power o the device and remove the battery.

7.2 Operating Environment

1. Medical devices

Operation of radio transmitting equipment, includ-

ing wireless phones, may interfere with the function

of inadequately protected medical devices. Consult a physician or the manufacturer of the medical device

to determine whether they are adequately shielded from external RF energy. Switch o your device when

regulations posted instruct you to do so. Hospitals or health care facilities may use equipment sensitive to external RF energy.

2. Implanted medical devices

Manufacturers of medical devices recommend a

minimum separation of 15.3 centimetres (6 inches)

between a wireless device and an implanted medical

device, such as a pacemaker or implanted cardioverter

debrillator, to avoid potential interference with the medical device. Persons who have such devices should:

• Always keep the wireless device more than 15.3 cen-

timetres (6 inches) from the medical device.

• Not carry the wireless device in a breast pocket.

• Hold the wireless device to the ear opposite the

medical device.

• Turn the wireless device o if there is any reason to

suspect that interference is taking place.

• Follow the manufacturer directions for the implanted medical device.

If you have any questions about using your wireless

device with an implanted medical device, consult

your health care provider.

3. Vehicles

RF signals may aect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic systems in motor vehicles such as electronic fuel injec tion, electronic antilock braking, electronic speed control, and air bag systems.

For more information, check with the manufacturer of

your vehicle or its equipment.

Only qualied personnel should service the device

or install the device in a vehicle. Faulty installation or service may be dangerous and may invalidate your

warranty. Check regularly that all wireless device

equipment in your vehicle is mounted and operating properly. Do not store or carry ammable liquids, gases, or explosive materials in the same compartment as the device, its parts, or accessories. Remember that air

bags inate with great force. Do not place your device

or accessories in the air bag deployment area.

Switch o your device before boarding an aircraft. The use of wireless teledevices in an aircraft may be danger-

ous to the operation of the aircraft and may be illegal.

7.3 Battery

The batter y can be charged and discharged hundreds

of times, but it will eventually wear out. When the talk

and standby times are noticeably shorter than normal, replace the battery.

• Safe removal. Always switch the device o and disconnect the char-

ger before removing the battery.

• Avoid extreme temperatures. Always try to keep the battery between 15°C and 25°C (59°F and 77°F). Extreme temperatures reduce the capacity and lifetime of the batter y. A device with a hot or cold battery may not work temporarily. Battery performance is particularly limited in temperatures well below freezing.

• Disposal. Do not dispose of batteries in a re as they may explode. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations. Please recycle when possible. Do not dispose as household waste.

• Correct use.

Use the battery only for its intended purpose. Improper battery use may result in a re, explosion, or other hazard. If the device or battery is dropped, especially on a hard surface, and you believe the battery has been damaged, take it to a service centre for inspection before continuing to use it. Never use any charger or battery that is damaged. Keep your battery out of the reach of small children.

GPS SAFE can be recharged by using a permanent power supply system not included in the package. Contact an authorised retailer for further information.

2. AVANT D’UTILISER LE DISPOSITIF

Avant d’utiliser le dispositif GPS SAFE, il est nécessaire de suivre la procédure décrite ci-après:

1. Ouvrir le couvercle du logement batterie; mettre en

place la carte SIM et la batterie.

Pour insérer la carte SIM:

Ouvrir le couvercle situé au dos en le dévissant comme indiqué sur le couvercle lui-même.

Insérer la carte SIM comme indiqué ci-dessous:

l’engager dans le logement prévu à cet effet (phase 1) et

la faire glisser vers la gauche (phase 2).

2. Installer le logiciel Track Manager et le driver du dispositif sur le PC. (CD logiciel).

3. Après avoir accédé au logiciel Track Manager, cliquer sur «Manual» pour obtenir une aide en ligne détaillée.

4. Lancer le programme Track Manager pour compléter les réglages hardware en enregistrant un profil de localisation ainsi que les numéros d’urgence pour GPS SAFE.

S’assurer que le code PIN de la carte SIM est saisi

quand le programme le demande.

(pour plus d’informations sur les réglages hardware,

consulter Device Configuration).

5. Charger GPS SAFE via USB pendant au moins 4 heures avant la première utilisation.

6. Une fois la charge complète terminée, débrancher le dispositif GPS SAFE du PC. Ensuite, le dispositif

s’allume automatiquement et un VOYANT vert émet

un clignotement toutes les 5 secondes.

7. Le dispositif est alors prêt à être utilisé. Envoyer un

message «Position» au dispositif GPS SAFE depuis le téléphone de l’administrateur comme indiqué dans l’aide en ligne pour en comprendre le fonctionnement.

Une fois prêt à entamer les opérations de localisation,

envoyer un texto au dispositif:

• Envoyer un texto contenant le mot «Position» au dispositif depuis le téléphone de l’administrateur.

• Ensuite, est reçu un message de réponse contenant une adresse URL correspondant à la car te relative à la

position actuelle.

Cliquer sur l’adresse URL: la carte relative à la position

actuelle s’affiche.

Note:

1. Ne pas brancher le câble USB au PC avant d’avoir installé

le logiciel.

2. En cliquant sur l’adresse URL présente dans le SMS, il

est possible qu’un coût soit facturé pour l’utilisation du service sur la base du forfait choisi pour la transmission de données. Contacter son opérateur de téléphonie pour plus de détails.

4. CONFIGURATION DU DISPOSITIF

La conguration du dispositif doit avoir été eectuée avant

d’entamer les opérations de localisation via GPS SAFE. Suivre les instructions ci-dessous pour compléter la con-

guration du dispositif GPS SAFE:

1. Démarrer Track Manager.

2. Après avoir accédé au logiciel Track Manager, cliquer

sur l’icône

présente sur la barre du menu principal

pour compléter les réglages hardware.

4.1 Réglages généraux

• Informations sur le dispositif : Remplir les champs

device name et phone number de GPS SAFE et saisir le PIN Code requis pour la carte SIM.

• Les champs Device name, Phone number et Admin phone #1 sont obligatoires et les numéros de téléphone doivent inclure l’indicatif national et l’indicatif local.

- Tracker Icon : sélectionner le type de localisation

auquel le GPS SAFE est destiné.

- Language : sélectionner la langue des messages

d’info via SMS.

• SOS Settings : saisir un maximum de 5 numéros de

téléphone pour les demandes de SOS.

Le champ Admin phone #1 est obligatoire puisqu’il

s’agit du numéro de SOS que le GPS SAFE appelle en cas d’urgence.

• S elect Profile : sélectionner un profil parmi les 5

profils indiqués.

Pour chaque profil sélectionné, il est possible de

décider de transmettre sa position ou la demande de SOS via Text Messages (SMS) ou GPRS connection.

- Volume: régler le volume du récepteur audio ou du

haut-parleur.

Note: veiller à ne pas se placer trop près du haut-parleur

en modalité mains libres pour prévenir les effets dommageables pour l’ouïe.

- Emergency SMS Report: sélec tionner les situations

pour lesquelles on souhaite recevoir un message d’urgence via SMS, par exemple SOS event, Free-fall

event, Geofence event, Unexpected movement event, et Battery-low event.

- Report tracking data via: sélectionner le mode de transmission des données de localisation, via SMS to the Admin phone, GPRS connection to the ser ver ou none.

Si GPRS Connection to server est sélectionné, cli-

quer sur Register to Ser ver pour enregistrer avant tout GPS SAFE sur le Tracking Server.

Durant l’enregistrement, créer un nouveau compte

pour le Tracking Server ou se connecter en utilisant les informations de compte dans le cas où l’utilisa-

teur serait déjà enregistré.

- Tracking Interval : sélectionner la fréquence de localisation pour le GPS SAFE.

- Report Interval: sélectionner l’intervalle pour établir la fréquence d’envoi d’un rappor t de localisation par le GPS SAFE.

- Free-fall detection : cette option informe le pro- priétaire en cas de chute du dispositif d’une hauteur élevée. une telle situation peut intervenir quand le dispositif est utilisé en altitude (durant une escalade, un trekking, etc.).

- Unexpected movement detection : cette option informe le pro priétaire quan d des déplacements du dispositif sont détec tés pendant la durée programmée.

Note: le réseau GSM n’est pas activé avant que des

déplacements ne soient détectés par le GPS SAFE, aussi, la réception du SMS d’alerte intervient après la détection d’un déplacement.

- Reset: cliquer pour rétablir les réglages hardware par défaut.

4.2 Alerte géo-périmétrale

zone à contrôler en faisant glisser le cadre visualisé sur la

carte.

• Enable Geofence Alert: cliquer pour activer la réception de signaux d’alerte géo-périmétrale.

- Alert Type : sélectionner la réception de signaux

d’alerte géo -périmétrale quand le dispositif pénètre dans la zone sujette au contrôle géo-périmétral ou quand il en sort, ou encore dans les deux cas.

- Geofence Area : les données figurant dans ce cadre

permettent de contrôler les dimensions de la zone sujette au contrôle géo-périmétral.

• D isable Geofence Aler t : cliquer pour désactiver la réception de signaux d’alerte géo-périmétrale.

5. FONCTIONNEMENT

5.1 Fonction des touches

5.2 SOS

Fonction SOS Pour envoyer une demande de SOS:

1. Appuyer sur la touche SOS pendant 2 secondes pour déclencher l’alarme SOS.

2. Une fois l’alarme déclenchée, les VOYANTS d’allu-

mage VERT/ROUGE et le VOYANT GPS BLEU restent allumés.

3. Le dispositif émet ensuite un signal sonore d’alerte.

4. Le GPS entame la procédure de connexion au point où l’utilisateur se trouve.

5. Avant une connexion GPS, la demande de SOS est transmise à tous les numéros de téléphone d’urgence précédemment programmés et elle est à nouveau

envoyée une fois la connexion établie.

6. Quand une demande de SOS est transmise, le GPS SAFE commence à appeler les numéros d’urgence

dans l’ordre où ils sont été programmés. Si un numéro de téléphone reste injoignable pendant 2 minutes, GPS SAFE passe au numéro suivant et ainsi de suite.

7. Si la demande de SOS n’est pas interrompue, le GPS SAFE répète les phases 5 et 6 en fonction de l’inter-

valle de SOS programmé (par défaut une fois toutes

les 15 minutes).

Note:

1. Cliquer sur l’adresse URL indiquée dans le SMS: la carte

relative à la position actuelle s’affiche.

2. En cliquant sur l’adresse URL présente dans le SMS, il

est possible qu’un coût soit facturé pour l’utilisation du service sur la base du for fait choisi pour la transmission de données. Contacter son opérateur de téléphonie pour plus de détails.

Comment interrompre une demande de SOS:

1. La demande de SOS s’interrompt automatiquement

quand une réponse est donnée au signal et que la procédure est considérée comme terminée.

2. Appuyer une fois sur la touche d’allumage ou d’appel

du GPS SAFE pour mettre fin à la demande de SOS.

3. Il est également possible d’interrompre la demande de SOS en envoyant un message contenant la commande «Dismiss » (sans guillemets) depuis le téléphone de l’administrateur.

4. Cliquer sur « Dismiss SOS» sur l’ITC, la demande de

SOS est alors interrompue à la connexion suivante du

GPS SAFE au Tracking Center.

Important: le dispositif fonctionne par l’intermédiaire

de signaux radio, réseaux sans fil, réseaux terrestres et sur la base des fonctions programmées par l’utilisateur. La connexion n’est pas garantie en toute circonstance. Ne pas se fier uniquement aux dispositifs sans fil pour des communications revêtant une grande importance, médicales par exemple.

5.3 Appel

Pour effectuer un appel en sélection rapide :

1. Appuyer sur la touche d’appel pendant 2 secondes: le

GPS SAFE effectue en sélection rapide un appel vers le téléphone de l’administrateur.

2. Le VOYANT d’allumage ROUGE/VERT et le VOYANT

GPS BLEU restent allumés durant un appel.

3. Après avoir appuyé sur la touche d’appel, le son de la porteuse est émis signalant ainsi une tentative d’appel.

4. Une fois l’appel terminé, il est possible d’appuyer sur la touche d’appel ou sur la touche d’allumage pour raccrocher.

Pour répondre à un appel entrant:

1. Quand le réseau GSM est activé, le GPS SAFE est en mesure de recevoir des appels provenant du téléphone de l’administrateur ou des numéros d’urgence précédemment programmés.

2. Quand le GPS SAFE sonne, il suffit d ’appuyer sur la touche d’appel pour répondre.

3. Une fois l’appel terminé, appuyer à nouveau sur la

touche d’appel pour raccrocher.

Note: il n’est pas possible de recevoir des appels provenant de numéros autres que celui de l’administrateur ou des numéros d’urgence; dans ce cas le GPS SAFE ne sonne pas pour informer de ces appels.

5.4 Surveillance audio

Pour activer la surveillance audio sur le GPS SAFE:

1. Envoyer un SMS contenant le mot «Listen » au GPS SAFE depuis le téléphone de l’administrateur.

2. Après réception du SMS, le GPS SAFE envoie automatiquement un appel au téléphone de l’administrateur sans avertir le propriétaire.

3. Dans le même temps, le haut-parleur du GPS SAFE est désactivé tandis que le micro est amplifié.

4. L’appel de surveillance audio prend fin automatiquement au bout de 30 minutes (durée par défaut).

5. Ensuite, les réglages standard du haut-parleur et du micro sont rétablis.

5.5 Rapport

Pour recevoir un rapport sur la position du dispositif:

1. Envoyer un SMS contenant le mot «Position» au GPS SAFE depuis le téléphone de l’administrateur.

2. Après réception du SMS, le GPS SAFE se connecte à un point de connexion et transmet les détails de sa position au téléphone de l’administrateur via SMS.

6. TRACK MANAGER

Grâce aux progrès réalisés sur le réseau GPS mondial, il est désormais possible de mettre à jour le dispositif de localisation satellitaire.

Track Manager est un instrument pratique et compact qui peut être utilisé pour analyser toutes les données de

localisation.

6.1 Aspect de l’interface utilisateur

Barre du menu principal

La barre du menu principal permet d’accéder rapidement aux fonctions principales et aux informations correspondantes.

Import GPS Track: cliquer sur cette icône pour lancer la fonction Import Wizard pour importer les données de

localisation GPS.

New Activity: cliquer sur cette icône pour ajouter une nouvelle activité.

Hardware Settings: cliquer sur cette icône pour personnaliser les modalités de localisation du GPS SAFE.

Clear Device Data: cliquer sur cette icône pour éliminer les enregistrements GPS sauvegardés sur le GPS SAFE.

Software Settings: cliquer sur cette icône pour personnaliser les réglages du logiciel Track Manager.

Help: cliquer sur cette icône pour ouvrir le guide d’aide.

6.2 Réglages du logiciel

Après le premier démarrage du logiciel Track Manager, il est demandé de compléter les réglages du logiciel.

1. Time Zone: sélectionner le fuseau horaire relatif à la position actuelle.

Par défaut, est sélectionné le fuseau horaire correspondant à la configuration du système.

2. Measurement : sélectionner le système métrique ou

le système impérial pour régler l’unité de mesure des enregistrements GPS.

6.3 Importation des données de localisation

Pour importer des données de localisation GPS exis-

tantes sur GPS SAFE, sur une carte mémoire micro-SD

ou sur un fichier:

1. Cliquer sur l’icône

sur la barre du menu princi-

pal, pour lancer la fonction Import Wizard.

Sélectionner la source (GPS SAFE, carte mémoire ou

fichier) des données de localisation à importer et cliquer

sur Next pour continuer.

2. Si les données de localisation sont importées à partir

d’une carte mémoire, il est demandé de sélectionner le dossier dans lequel se trouvent les données.

Si les données de localisation sont importées d’un

fichier GPS existant (*.gpk ou *.gpx), il est demandé d’indiquer la position du fichier.

3. La fonction Import Wizard entame ensuite le déchargement des données de localisation présentes sur la source sélectionnée.

4. Les données de localisation sont ensuite correcte ment importées.

6.4 Ajouter une nouvelle activité

Pour ajouter une nouvelle activité (activité sportive, personnelle, professionnelle, etc.):

1. Cliquer sur l’icône

sur la barre du menu principal, pour entamer la procédure d’ajout d’une nouvelle activité.

2. Sélec tionner la trace/les traces dans la liste et cliquer sur Next pour continuer.

3. La fonction Impor t Wizard entame le traitement des données de localisation.

4. Une nouvelle activité est ensuite créée.

6.5 Calendrier des activités

Le calendrier offre une vision claire des activités auxquelles l’utilisateur a participé durant le mois indiqué.

1. Placer la souris sur l’icône de l’activité indiquée pour

faire apparaître une fenêtre pop-up contenant les

détails de l’activité en question.

2. Cliquer sur l’icône de l’activité pour afficher le tracé/

parcours correspondant sur la carte de Google à droite.

3. Utiliser les flèches pour visualiser plusieurs activités

d’une même journée.

4. Utiliser les flèches pour changer de mois et visualiser d’autres activités.

5. Cliquer avec la touche droite sur l’icône de l’activité indiquée sur le calendrier pour visualiser différentes options:

• Delete : l’activité sélectionnée peut être éliminée.

• Expor t to GPX: l’activité sélectionnée peut être expor-

tée sur un fichier GPX (.gpx).

• Expor t to CSV: l’activité sélectionnée peut être expor-

tée sur un fichier CSV (.csv).

• Reload Map : la car te de l ’activité sélectionnée est

actualisée.

• Update Cell-Tower Fix: la connexion GSM est rétablie

à travers le serveur.

6.6 Analyse d’une activité

1. Le tableau en bas à gauche présente un cadre général et une liste de waypoints relevés pour l’activité

sélectionnée.

2. Le graphique en bas à droite offre 6 visualisations différentes de tracés, ainsi que les mesures correspondantes.

3. Utiliser l’axe hachuré pour se déplacer horizontalement en avant et en arrière vers un point fixe; de la sorte, il est possible de visualiser la position de ce

point fixe indiqué sur la carte par l’image

4. Déplacer les axes

et en les faisant glisser

pour mettre en évidence une section de l’activité.

5. Dans le tableau relatif aux données de l’activité, la

deuxième colonne indique les données de l’activité complète, tandis que la troisième colonne indique

les données correspondant à la section de l’activité

surlignée.

6. Cliquer sur les icônes

, , , , , et pour visualiser les différents graphiques d’illustration, chacun d’eux avec les mesures correspondantes.

7. INFORMATIONS SUR LE PRODUIT ET SUR LA SÉCURITÉ

7.1 Précautions d’utilisation du dispositif

Le dispositif est un produit d’une qualité et d’un design

supérieurs qui doit être traité avec grand soin. Ci-après,

sont fournies quelques recommandations utiles pour ne

pas invalider le droit à la garantie.

• Conser ver le dispositif à l’abri de l’humidité. La pluie,

l’humidité, la condens ation et tout a utre type de liquide contiennent des minéraux s usceptibles de

corroder les circuits électroniques. Dans le cas où le

dispositif se mouillerait, retirer la batterie et le laisser sécher complètement avant de remettre cette dernière en place.

• Ne pas utiliser ni conserver le dispositif à un endroit

poussiéreux ou sale. Les parties mobiles et les composants électroniques peuvent être facilement endommagés.

• Ne pas conserver le dispositif à un endroit dont la

température serait très élevée ou très basse.

Les hautes températures ont un impact sur la durée de

vie des dispositifs électroniques, elles endommagent les batteries et peuvent déformer ou faire fondre les parties en plastique. Quand le dispositif passe d’une

température très basse à une température normale, il est possible que de la condensation se forme à l’inté-

rieur et endommage les circuits électroniques.

• Ne pas tenter d’ouvrir le dispositif d’une manière autre que celle décrite dans le présent manuel.

• Éviter les chutes, les chocs et les secousses excessives. L’utilisation impropre ou incorrecte du dispositif peut endommager les par ties mécaniques et les circuits internes.

• Ne pas utiliser d’agents chimiques, de détergents ni de solvants corrosifs pour le nettoyage du dispositif. Pour nettoyer la surface du dispositif, utiliser uniquement un chiffon souple, propre et sec.

• Pour garantir des performances optimales, réinitialiser

de temps à autre le dispositif en l’éteignant et en

retirant la batterie.

7.2 Conditions ambiantes de fonctionnement

1. Dispositifs médicaux

Le fonctionnement d’équipements de transmission

radio, téléphones sans fil compris, peut provoquer des interférences avec le fonctionnement de dispositifs médicaux insuffisamment protégés. Consulter un médecin ou le fabricant du dispositif médical pour s’assurer que ce dernier est correctement protégé contre les fréquences radio externes. Éteindre le dispositif en présence de normes qui le prescrivent.

Dans les hôpitaux ou dans les structures sanitaires, peuvent être présents des équipements sensibles aux

fréquences radio externes.

2. Dispositifs médicaux implantés

Les fabricants de dispositifs médicaux recommandent

une distance minimum de 15,3centimètres (6pouces) entre un dispositif sans fil et un dispositif médical implanté, par exemple un pacemaker ou un défibrillateur cardiaque implanté, afin de prévenir les interférences. Les porteurs de ce type de dispositifs doivent:

• Maintenir dans tous les cas une distance supérieure à

15,3centimètres (6pouces) entre le dispositif sans fil et le dispositif médical.

• Éviter de conserver le dispositif sans fil dans une poche

de chemise.

• Utiliser le dispositif sans fil sur l’oreille opposée au côté

sur lequel se trouve le dispositif médical.

• Éteindre le dispositif sans fil dans le cas où il y aurait

de bonnes raisons de supposer la présence d’interférences.

• Suivre les instructions du fabricant du dispositif médical implanté.

Pour tout besoin d’informations concernant l’utilisa-

tion d’un dispositif sans fil en présence d’un dispositif

médical implanté, s’adresser à un opérateur médical.

3. Véhicules

Les fréquences radio peuvent compromettre le fonctionnement de systèmes électroniques mal installés

ou mal protégés à l’intérieur de véhicules à moteur, par

exemple le système électronique d’injection du carburant, l ’ABS électronique, le contrôle électronique de la vitesse et les airbags. Pour plus d’informations, consulter le constructeur du véhicule ou de l’équipement en question. L’entretien et l’installation du dispositif dans un véhicule doivent être exclusivement confiés à un personnel qualifié. Une mauvaise installation ou un mauvais entretien

peut exposer à des dangers et invalider la garantie. À

intervalles réguliers, s’assurer que tous les dispositifs sans fil du véhicule sont correctement montés et qu’ils fonctionnent correctement. Ne pas conserver ni transporter des liquides inflammables, des gaz ou des substances explosives dans le compartiment où le dispositif, ses composants et/ou accessoires sont présents. Ne pas oublier que les airbags se déclenchent avec une grande force. Ne pas placer le

dispositif ni aucun de ses accessoires à hauteur de la

zone de déploiement des airbags.

Éteindre le dispositif avant de monter à bord d’un avion. L’utilisation de dispositifs sans fil à bord d’un avion peut compromettre les fonctions de ce dernier et être à ce

titre formellement interdite.

7.3 Batterie

La batterie peut être chargée et déchargée des centaines de fois mais est tout de même sujette à l ’usure

du temps. Changer la batterie quand l’autonomie de conversation et les temps de stand-by sont très infé-

rieurs à la normale.

• Retrait sûr.

Éteindre le dispositif et débrancher le chargeur avant

de retirer la batterie.

• Éviter les températures extrêmes. Il est recommandé de maintenir la batterie à une

température comprise entre 15°C et 25°C (59°F et 77°F). Les températures extrêmes réduisent la capacité

et la durée de vie de la batterie. Il est possible qu’un dispositif dont la batterie serait excessivement chaude ou froide ne fonctionne pas temporairement. Les performances de la batterie diminuent fortement quand

la température est inférieure à 0°C.

• Élimination.

Ne pas jeter les batteries au feu : elles pourraient

exploser. Éliminer les batteries dans le respect de la

réglementation locale en vigueur. Dans la mesure du

possible, il est recommandé de recycler les batteries. Ne pas jeter les batteries conjointement aux ordures ménagères.

• Bonne utilisation.

Utiliser les batteries uniquement pour l ’utilisation prévue. Une utilisation impropre de la batterie peut pro-

voquer un incendie ou une explosion et/ou exposer à

d’autres dangers. Après une chute du dispositif ou de

la batterie, en particulier sur une surface dure, laissant supposer que la batterie pourrait avoir été endomma-

gée, s’adresser à un centre d’assistance pour un contrôle avant de continuer à l’utiliser. Ne pas utiliser un char-

geur endommagé ni une batterie endommagée. Ne pas

laisser la batterie à la portée des enfants.

7.4 Charge permanente

Il est possible de recharger GPS SAFE à l’aide d’un système d’alimentation permanent non fourni avec le dispositif.

2. ANTES DE UTILIZAR EL APARATO

Antes de utilizar el aparato GPS SAFE es necesario ajustarse al proceso presentado a continuación:

1. Abra la tapa del compartimiento de la batería; ponga la tarjeta SIM y la batería.

Abra la tapa, situada en la parte trasera, desatornillándola como mostrado en la propia tapa. Ponga la tarjeta SIM tal y como se describe en los siguientes pasos: introdúzcala en el espacio previsto (fase 1) y desplácela hacia la izquierda (fase 2).

2. Instale en el ordenador el software Track Manager y el controlador (driver) del aparato. (CD software)

3. Dentro de Track Manager, haga clic en “Manual” para

tener una ayuda en línea detallada.

4. Inicie el Track Manager para completar las configuracio-

nes hardware ingresando un perfil de localización y los

números de llamada de emergencia para el GPS SAFE.

Asegúrese de ingresar el código PIN de la tarjeta SIM

cuando se le pida.

(Para más información acerca de las configuraciones

hardware consulte Device Configuration).

5. Cargue el GPS SAFE por USB durante por lo menos 4 horas antes de utilizarlo la primera vez.

6. Una vez cargada completamente la batería, desconecte el GPS SAFE del ordenador. Automáticamente

se encenderá y un LED verde parpadeará una vez

cada 5 segundos.

7. Ahora el aparato está listo para utilizarlo. Envíe un

mensaje “Position” al GPS SAFE desde el teléfono del administrador como indicado en la ayuda en línea para entender como funciona.

Cuando esté listo para comenzar las operaciones de localización, envíe un mensaje de texto al aparato:

• Envié un mensaje de texto al aparato desde el teléfono

del administrador, mensaje que contenga la palabra “Position”.

• Recibirá un mensaje de respuesta que va a contener

una dirección URL correspondiente al mapa relativo a su posición actual. Haga clic en la dirección URL; aparecerá un mapa relativo a su posición actual.

Nota:

1. No conecte el cable USB al ordenador antes de haber instalado el software.

2. Al hacer clic en la dirección URL contenida en el SMS podría adeudársele un coste por el disfrute del servicio según el plan de datos que haya elegido. Contacte con su gestor telefónico para ulteriores detalles.

Los LED de encendido Rojo y Verde y el LED GPS Azul quedan encendidos en

caso de SOS o durante una

llamada. SOS: genera una señal acústica de alerta. Llamada: genera una señal de línea libre.

4. CONFIGURACIÓN DEL APARATO

Antes de comenzar las operaciones de localización con

GPS SAFE tiene que haber terminado la conguración

del aparato. Siga las instrucciones presentadas más adelante para

completar la conguración del aparato GPS SAFE:

1. Iniciar Track Manager.

2. Una vez dentro de Track Manager, haga clic en

en la barra del menú principal para completar las conguraciones hardware.

4.1 Conguraciones generales

• Información acerca del aparato: Rellene los campos

device name y phone number del GPS SAFE e ingrese el PIN Code pedido para la tarjeta SIM.

• Los campos Device name, Phone number y Admin phone #1 son obligatorios y los números de teléfono tienen que incluir el prefijo nacional y él local.

- Tracker Icon: Seleccione el tipo de localización para

el cual se destina el GPS SAFE.

- Language: Seleccione el idioma para los mensajes

de aviso por SMS.

• SOS Settings: Ingrese a lo sumo 5 números de teléfo-

no para las peticiones de socorro (SOS).

El campo Admin phone #1 es obligatorio ya que se

trata del número de SOS que el GPS SAFE llamará en caso de emergencia.

• Select Prole: Seleccione un perl entre las 5 opciones

presentadas.

Para cada perl seleccionado se puede elegir si tran-

smitir la propia posición o la petición de SOS por Text

Messages (SMS) o GPRS connection.

- Volume: Ajuste el volumen del receptor audio o del

altavoz.

Nota: Cuidado con no acercarse demasiado al altavoz

en la modalidad manos libres, esto para evitar eventuales daños al oído.

- Emergency SMS Report: Seleccione las situaciones

para las cuales se desea recibir un aviso de emergencia por SMS, por ejemplo SOS event, Free-fall event,

Geofence event, Unexpected movement event, y Battery-low event.

- Report tracking data via: Seleccione la manera de la

cual desea que sean transmitidos los datos de localización, por SMS to the Admin phone, GPRS con- nection to the server, o none.

Si está seleccionado GPRS Connection to server,

haga clic en Register to Server para registrar antes que nada el GPS SAFE en el Tracking Server.

Durante el registro, cree una nueva cuenta para el

Tracking Server o bien acceda con las credenciales que ya tiene si se trata de usuario ya registrado.

- Tracking Interval: Seleccione el intervalo de localiza- ción para el GPS SAFE.

- Report Interval: Seleccione el intervalo para determi- nar la frecuencia de envío de un informe (repor t) de localización por parte del GPS SAFE.

- Free-fall detection: Esta opción avisa al dueño cuan- do el aparato cae desde una gran altura. Situaciones como ésta pueden producirse cuando se utiliza el aparato a grandes altitudes, durante escaladas, excursiones de senderismo, etc.

5. FUNCIONAMIENTO

5.1 Función de los botones

2. Apriete simultáneamente los botones de llamada + encendido y vuelva a poner la batería. Mantenga apretados los dos botones hasta que termine de poner la batería.

Restablece las configuraciones de fábrica del aparato.

5.2 SOS

Función SOS Para enviar una petición de SOS:

1. Apriete el botón SOS por 2 segundos para activar la alarma SOS.

2. Una vez activada, quedarán encendido los LED de

encendido VERDE/ROJO y el LED GPS AZUL.

3. El aparato emite seguidamente una señal acústica de alerta.

4. El GPS inicia el procedimiento de conexión al punto donde Ud. se encuentra.

5. Antes de efectuar una conexión GPS, la petición de

SOS es transmitida a todos los números de teléfono

de emergencia pre-configurados y después es transmitida de nuevo una vez efectuada la conexión.

6. Cuando es transmitida una petición de SOS, el GPS SAFE empieza a llamar los números de emergencia

en el orden con el cual han sido configurados. Si no se logra llamar un número de teléfono por 2 minutos, el GPS SAFE pasa al número siguiente.

7. Si no se interrumpe la petición de SOS, el GPS SAFE repite las fases 5 y 6 conforme al intervalo de SOS

configurado (por defecto una vez cada 15 minutos).

Nota:

1. Haga clic en la dirección URL indicada en el SMS; aparecerá un mapa relati vo a la posición actual.

Cómo interrumpir una petición de SOS:

1. La petición de SOS se interrumpe automáticamente al

contestar al aviso que, por consiguiente, se considera terminado.

2. Apriete una vez el botón de encendido o de llamada

del GPS SAFE para interrumpir la petición de SOS.

3. También enviando un mensaje que contenga el comando “Dismiss” (sin comillas) desde el teléfono del

administrador se puede interrumpir la petición de SOS.

4. Haga clic en “Dismiss SOS” en ITC y la petición de SOS será interrumpida a la siguiente conexión del GPS SAFE con el Tracking Center.

Importante: El apa rato func iona ut ilizando señales

radio, redes inalámbricas, redes terrestres y funciones configuradas por el usuario. No se puede garantizar la conexión en todas las situaciones. No confíe nunca únicamente en los dispositivos inalámbricos para las comunicaciones extrem adamente importantes como pueden ser las emergencias médicas.

5.3 Llamada

Para efectuar una llamada con selección rápida:

1. Apriete por 2 segundos el botón de llamada y el GPS SAFE efectuará una llamada con selección rápida al

teléfono del administrador.

2. El LED de encendido ROJO/VERDE y el LED GPS AZUL quedan encendidos durante una llamada.

3. Después de haber apretado el botón de llamada,

será generado un tono de portadora que indica un intento de llamada.

4. Una vez terminada la llamada, podrá apretar el botón de llamada o el botón de encendido para colgar.

Para contestar a una llamada entrante:

1. Cuando está habilitada la red GSM, el GPS SAFE puede recibir llamadas procedentes del teléfono del administrador o de los números de emergencia previamente configurados.

2. Cuando suena el GPS SAFE, basta apretar el botón de llamada para contestar.

3. Una vez terminada la llama da, podrá apretar de nuevo el botón de llamada para colgar.

Nota: No será posible recibir llamadas procedentes de números distintos del del administrador o de los de emergencia; el GPS SAFE no sonará tampoco para avisar que está recibiendo dichas llamadas.

5.4 Vigilancia audio

Para activar la vigilancia audio en el GPS SAFE se puede:

1. Enviar desde el teléfono del administrador al GPS SAFE un SMS que contenga el texto “Listen”.

2. Recibido el SMS, el GPS SAFE envía automáticamente una llamada al teléfono del administrador sin avisar al dueño.

3. Mientras tanto el altavoz del GPS SAFE queda desactivado y se amplifica el micrófono.

4. La llamada de vigilancia audio termina automáticamente transcurridos 30 minutos conforme a las configuraciones por defecto.

5. Seguidamente se restablecerán las configuraciones normales del altavoz y del micrófono.

5.5 Informes

Para recibir un informe (report) acerca de la posición del aparato:

1. Envíe desde el teléfono del administrador al GPS SAFE un SMS que contenga el texto “Position”.

2. Después de recibir el SMS, el GPS SAFE se conectará a un punto de conexión y transmitirá por SMS los detalles de su posición al teléfono del administrador.

Activación de vigilancia audio

Este comando permite al localizador GPS llamar al número del administrador y activar la vigilancia audio. La llamada relativa a la vigilancia audio se interrumpirá automáticamente transcurridos 30 minutos.

*Nota: Los intervalos se pueden configurar a una distancia máxima de 86400 segundos (1 día) uno de otro.

6. TRACK MANAGER

Aprovechando los avances de la red GPS mundial, ahora es posible actualizar su aparato para realizar la localización por satélite. Track Manager es una herramienta práctica y compacta que se puede utilizar para analizar todos los datos de localización.

6.1 Aspecto de la interfaz de usuario

Barra de menú principal

La barra del menú principal permite acceder rápidamente a las funciones principales y a su información correspondiente.

Import GPS Track: Haga clic para iniciar la función Import Wizard para importar los datos de localización GPS.

New Activity: Haga clic para añadir una nueva actividad.

Hardware Settings: Haga clic para personalizar las modalidades de localización del GPS SAFE.

Clear Device Data: Haga clic para eliminar los registros GPS guardados en el GPS SAFE.

Software Settings: Haga clic para personalizar las configuraciones software del Track Manager.

Help: Haga clic para abrir la guía de ayuda.

6.2 Configuraciones software

Después de iniciar por la primera vez el Track Manager, se le pedirá que complete las configuraciones software.

6.3 Importación de datos de localización

Para impor tar datos de localización GPS ya existentes

desde el GPS SAFE, tarjeta de memoria micro-SD o un

fichero:

1. Haga clic en

en la barra del menú principal para

iniciar la función de Import Wizard.

Seleccione la fuente (GPS SAFE, tarjeta de memoria o fichero) de los datos de localización a importar y haga clic en Next para continuar.

2. Si decide importar datos de localización desde una tarjeta de memoria, se le pedirá que seleccione la carpeta donde se han guardado dichos datos.

Si decide importar datos de localización de un fichero

GPS ya existente (*.gpk, *.gpx), se le pedirá que indique la posición del fichero.

3. La función Import Wizard empezará a descargar los datos de localización desde la fuente seleccionada.

4. Los datos de localización serán importados correctamente.

6.4 Añadidura de una nueva actividad

Para añadir una nueva actividad (referente a deportes, actividades personales, trabajo, etc.):

1. Haga clic en

en la barra del menú principal para

empezar a añadir una nueva actividad.

2. Seleccione el renglón/los reglones en la lista y haga clic en Next para continuar.

3. La función de Import Wizard empezará a procesar los datos de localización.

4. Será creada una nueva actividad.

6.5 Calendario de actividades

El calendario ofrece una vista clara de las actividades en las cuales ha participado durante el mes indicado.

1. Lleve el ratón encima del icono de la actividad indicada en el calendario y aparece una ventana emergente con los detalles de la actividad.

2. Haga clic en el icono de la actividad y en el mapa de Google a la derecha se destacarán su trazado/ recorrido.

3. Utilice las flechas para visualizar varias actividades para una jornada.

4. Utilice las flechas para cambiar de mes y visualizar otras actividades.

5. Haga clic con el botón derecho del ratón en el icono de la actividad indicada en el calendario para visualizar más opciones:

• Delete: Se puede eliminar la ac tividad seleccionada.

• Expor t to GPX: La actividad seleccionada se puede

exportar a un fichero GPX (.gpx).

• Expor t to CSV: La actividad seleccionada se puede

exportar a un fichero CSV (.csv).

• Reload Map: Se actualizará el mapa de la actividad

seleccionada.

• Update Cell-Tower Fix: Se restablecerá la conexión

GSM mediante el servidor.

6.6 Análisis de actividades

1. El cuadro de abajo a la izquierda presenta una pano-

rámica general y una lista de puntos fijos (waypoint)

detectados para la actividad seleccionada.

2. El gráfico de abajo a la derecha ofrece 6 visualizaciones diferentes de trazados con las correspondientes mediciones.

3. Utilice el eje plumeado para moverse horizontalmente hacia adelante y atrás a un punto fijo; de esta manera será posible visualizar la posición de dicho punto

fijo indicado con

en el mapa.

4. Arrastre y mueva los ejes

y para destacar

una sección de la actividad.

5. La segunda columna del cuadro relativo a los datos de la actividad, indica los datos de la actividad completa, mientras que la tercera columna indica los datos correspondientes a la sección de la actividad destacada.

los cuales con las mediciones correspondientes.

7. INFORMACIÓN ACERCA DEL PRODUCTO Y LA SEGURIDAD

7.1 Cuidado del aparato

Su aparato es un producto de alta calidad y excelente diseño, por lo que es necesario tratarlo con sumo cuidado. A continuación se presentan unas sugerencias de utilidad para no perjudicar el derecho al amparo de la garantía.

• Guarde el aparato en un sitio seco. La lluvia, la hume-

dad, el cond ensación y cualquie r tipo de líquido contienen minerales capaces de corroer los circuitos electrónicos. Si se mojara el aparato, quite la batería y deje que el aparato se seque por completo antes de volver a ponerle la batería.

• No utilice ni guarde el aparato en sitios polvorosos o

sucios. Las par tes móviles y los componentes electrónicos pueden dañarse fácilmente.

• No guarde el aparato en lugares sujetos a temperatu-

ras muy altas o muy bajas.

Las altas temperaturas repercuten en la duración de

los aparatos electrónicos, dañan sus baterías y pueden deformar o fundir las partes de plástico. Cuando el aparato pasa de una temperatura baja a una temperatura normal, puede formarse condensación dentro de él, condensación que causa daños a los circuitos electrónicos.

• No intente abrir al aparato de otras maneras no descritas en este manual.

• Evitar caídas, golpes o fuertes oscilaciones. Un uso impropio o no correcto del aparato puede dañar la mecánica y los circuitos internos.

• Para limpiar el aparato no utilice agentes químicos, detergentes ni solventes agresivos. Utilice solamente un paño suave, limpio y seco para limpiar la superficie del aparato.

• Para un funcionamiento óptimo de vez en cuando resetee el aparato apagándolo y quitándole la batería.

7.2 Condiciones ambientales de funcionamiento

1. Aparatos médicos

El funcionamiento de aparatos de transmisión radio, incluidos los teléfonos inalámbricos, podrían interferir con el funcionamiento de aparatos médicos no adecuadamente protegidos. Consulte con un médico o con el fabricante del aparato médico para asegurarse de que este último esté oportunamente apantallado contra la energía de radiofrecuencia externa. Apague el aparato ante normas que le pidan hacerlo. En los hospitales y en las estructuras sanitarias podría haber aparatos sensibles a la energía de radiofrecuencia externa.

2. Aparatos médicos implantados

Los fabricantes de aparatos médicos recomiendan una distancia como mínimo de 15,3 centímetros (6 pulgadas) entre un aparato inalámbrico y un aparato médico implantado, por ejemplo un marcapasos o desfibriladores cardíacos implantados, para evitar eventuales interferencias. Quienes llevan dichos aparatos deberían:

• Mantener siempre una distancia de más de 15,3 cen-

tímetros (6 pulgadas) entre el aparato inalámbrico y el aparato médico.

• Evitar llevar el aparato inalámbrico en el bolsillo de la

camisa/chaqueta.

• Apoyar el aparato inalámbrico en la oreja del lado opuesto al lado donde está implantado el aparato médico.

• Apagar el aparato inalámbrico si hay motivo para

suponer que se produzcan interferencias.

• Segu ir las instrucciones del fabricante del aparato

médico implantado.

Para eventuales pregu ntas acerca del uso de un

aparato inalámbrico junto con un aparato médico implantado acuda a un asistente sanitario.

3. Vehículos

Las radiofrecuencias pueden perjudicar el funcionamiento de sistemas electrónicos instalados o apantallados de manera no apropiada dentro de vehículos a motor, por ejemplo el sistema electrónico de inyección del combustible, el ABS electrónico, el control electrónico de la velocidad y los sistemas de airbag. Para más información, consulte con el fabricante del vehículo o del equipamiento de que se trate. Sólo personal cualificado puede efectuar el mantenimiento y la instalación del aparato en un vehículo. Una instalación o un mantenimiento inadecuados podrían ser peligrosos y anular la garantía. Compruebe con regularidad que todos los aparatos inalámbricos del vehículo estén montados y funcionen correctamente. No guarde ni transporte líquidos inflamables, gases ni sustancias explosivas en el mismo compartimiento donde esté presente el aparato, sus componentes o accesorios. Tenga en cuenta que los airbag se inflan con mucha fuerza. No ponga el aparato ni sus accesorios en la zona de inflado del airbag. Apague el aparato antes de subir a una aeronave. El uso de aparatos inalámbricos a bordo de una aeronave podría perjudicar las funciones de la propia aeronave además de ser ilegal.

7.3 Batería

La batería se puede cargar y descargar innumerables veces, pero está sujeta al desgaste con el paso del tiempo. Sustituya la batería cuando la autonomía de conversación y los tiempos de stand-by son claramente inferiores a lo normal.

• Remoción segura.

Apague el aparato y desconecte el cargador de bate-

rías antes de quitar la batería.

• Evite las temperaturas extremas.

Se aconseja mantener la batería a una temperatura

entre los 15°C y los 25°C (59°F y 77°F). Las temperaturas extremas reducen la capacidad y la vida útil de la batería. Un aparato con una batería caliente o fría puede no funcionar temporalmente. Las prestaciones de la batería son muy limitadas cuando la temperatura desciende bajo cero.

• Eliminación.

No tire las baterías al fuego ya que podrían estallar. Elimine las baterías conforme a las normas locales. A ser posible se recomienda reciclarlas. No las tire a la

basura doméstica.

• Uso correcto.

Utilice la batería solamente para los fines previstos. Un

uso impropio de la batería puede causar incendios, estallidos u otros peligros.

Si el aparato o la batería se caen, en especial sobre una

superficie dura, y supone que la batería se haya dañado, acuda a un centro de asistencia para que la comprueben antes de volver a utilizarla. No utilice cargadores de baterías ni baterías que estén dañados. Mantenga la batería fuera del alcance de los niños pequeños.

7.4 Recarga permanente

Es posible recargar GPS SAFE con un sistema de alimentación permanente no incluido en el suministro. Acuda a nuestro revendedor para más información.

Vor dem Gebrauch des GPS SAFE muss die nachfolgen-

de Prozedur eingehalten werden:

1. Den Akkufachdeckel öffnen; die SIM-Card und den

Akku einsetzen.

Einsetzen der SIM-Card:

Den Deckel auf der Rückseite öffnen, wie auf dem Deckel dargestellt ist. Die SIM-Card wie nachfolgend beschrieben einsetzen: Die SIM-Card in das vorgesehene Fach (Schritt 1) einset-

zen und nach links schieben (Schritt 2).

2. Die Track Manager Software und den Gerätetreiber auf dem PC installieren. (Software-CD)

3. Nach Öffnen des Track Managers „Manual“ für einen

detaillierten Online-Support ank licken.

4. D en Track Manager starten, um die Hard wareEinstellungen abzuschließen. Dazu ein Ortungsprofil

und die Notfallnummern für GPS SAFE eingeben.

Sicherstellen, dass der PIN-Code der SIM-Card auf die

entsprechende Aufforderung hin eingegeben wird.

5. GPS SAFE mindestens 4 Stunden über USB laden, be -

vor das Gerät zum ersten Mal verwendet wird.

6. Nach Abschluss des Ladevorgangs GPS SAFE vom PC

trennen. Das Gerät schaltet sich automatisch ein und eine grüne LED blinkt alle 5 Sek unden.

7. Das Gerät ist jetzt einsatzbereit. Vom Telefon des

Administrators eine “Position”-M itteilung an GPS

SAFE senden, wie im Online-Suppor t beschrieben ist, um zu verstehen, wie das Gerät funktionier t.

Sobald die Ortungsvorgänge beginnen können, eine

Textmitteilung an das Gerät senden:

• Ei ne Textmitteilung mit dem Wort „Position“ vom Administratortelefon an das Gerät senden.

• Man erhält eine Antwortmitteilung mit einer URL-

Adresse, die der sich auf Ihre aktuelle Position beziehenden Karte entspricht.

Position entsprechende Karte angezeigt.

4. KONFIGURATION DES GERÄTS

Die Konguration des Geräts muss abgeschlossen sein, bevor die Ortungsvorgänge mit GPS SAFE begonnen werden.

Die nachfolgenden Anleitungen zum Abschließen der Konguration des Geräts GPS SAFE beachten:

1. Track Manager starten.

2. Nach Öffnen des Track Manager

in der Hauptmenüleiste zum Abschließen der Hardwareeinstellungen anklicken.

4.1 Allgemeine Einstellungen

• Informationen zum Gerät: Die Felder device name

und phone number des GPS SAFE ausfüllen und den für die Sim-Card angeforderten PIN Code eingeben.

• Die Felder Device name, Phone number und Admin

phone #1 sind Pflichtfelder und die Telefonnummern

müssen die Landes- und Ortsvorwahl enthalten.

- Tracker Icon: Den Ortungstyp anwählen, für den GPS

SAFE bestimmt ist.

- Language: Die Sprache für d ie SMS-Mitteilungen

auswählen.

• SOS Settings: Maximal 5 Telefonnummern für SOS-

Notrufe eingeben.

Das Feld Admin phone #1 ist ein Pflichtfeld, da es

sich um die SOS-Nummer handelt, die GPS SAFE in Notfällen anruft.

• S elect Profile: Ein Profil unter den 5 angezeigten

Optionen auswählen.

Für jedes ausgewählte Profil kann eingestellt werden,

ob die eigene Position oder der SOS-Notruf mittels

Text Messages (SMS) oder GPRS connection übertra-

gen werden soll.

- Volume: Die Lautstärke des Audio-Empfängers oder

des Lautsprechers einstellen.

Hinweis: Darauf achten, dass man sich dem Lautsprecher

im Freisprechmodus nicht zu sehr nähert, um eventuelle Gehörschäden zu vermeiden.

- Emergency SMS Report: Die Ereignisse auswählen,

für die man eine Notfall-Mitteilung per SMS erhal-

ten möchte, wie zum Beispiel SOS event, Free-fall event, Geofence event, U nexpected movement event und Battery-low event.

- Report tracking data via: Die Methode wählen, wie die Ortungsdaten übertragen werden sollen, SMS to

the Admin phone, GPRS connection to the server oder none.

darauf hin, dass das Gerät aus großer Höhe herunterfällt. Zu solchen Umständen kann es kommen, wenn das Gerät in großer Höhe verwendet wird, wie zum Beispiel beim Bergsteigen, Klettern usw.

- Unexpected movement detection: Diese Option

informiert den Besitzer, wenn während des eingestellten Zeitraums eine Bewegung des Geräts erfasst wird.

Hinweis: Das GSM-N etz wi rd er st nac h der

Bewegungserfassung seitens GPS SAFE aktiviert. Daher wird die Alarm-SMS erst na ch dem Zeitpu nkt der Bewegungserfassung empfangen.

- Reset: Anklicken, um die Default-Einstellungen der

Hardware wiederherzustellen.

4.2 Geo-Zaun

anklicken, um den zu kontrollierenden Bereich einzustellen, indem der auf der Karte angezeigte Rahmen verschoben wird.

• Enable Geofence Alert: Anklicken, um den Empfang

von Geo-Zaun-Alarmmitteilungen zu aktivieren.

5.2 SOS

SOS-Funktion Übersenden eines SOS-Notrufs:

1. Die SOS-Taste 2 Sekunden lang drücken, um den SOS-

Notruf zu aktivieren.

2. Na ch der Aktivierung bleiben die GRÜNE/ROTE Einschaltungs-LED und die BLAUE GPS-LED eingeschaltet.

3. Das Gerät erzeugt einen Alarmton.

4. Das GPS startet die Prozedur zur Standortbestimmung.

5. Vor einer GPS-St andortbest immung wird der SOS-No truf an alle vorein gestellten Notfal lTelefonnummern übersandt und w ird dann nach

erfolgter Standortbestimmung erneut übersandt.

6. Bei der Übertragung eines SOS-Notrufs beginnt GPS SAFE die Notfallnummern in der Reihenfolge anzu-

rufen, in der sie eingegeben wurden. Wenn eine

Telefonnummer 2 Minuten lang nicht erreichbar ist,

wechselt GPS SAFE auf die nächste Nummer usw.

7. Wenn der SOS-Notruf nicht unterbrochen wird, wie-

derholt GPS SAFE die Schritte 5 und 6 in dem ein-

gestellten SOS-Intervall (Default: Wiederholung alle

15 Minuten).

Hinweis:

1. Die in der SMS angegebene URL-Adresse anklicken; es wird

eine der aktuellen Position entsprechende Karte angezeigt.

2. Bei Anklicken der i n der SMS enthaltenen URL-

Adresse können Kosten entstehen, die von dem gewählten Da tentarif abhängen. Kontaktie ren Sie Ihren Mobilfunkanbieter für weitere Einzelheiten.

Unterbrechen eines SOS-Notrufs:

1. D er SOS-Notruf wird automatisch unt erbrochen, wenn der Notruf beantwortet wird und dieser daher als abgeschlossen betrachtet wird.

2. Die Einschalt- oder Anruftaste des GPS SAFE einmal drücken, um den SOS-Notruf zu unterbrechen.

3. Der SOS-Notruf kann auch durch Übersenden einer

den Befehl „Dismiss“ (ohne Anführungszeichen) enthaltenden Mitteilung vom Adm inistrator-Telefon

unterbrochen werden.

4. „Dismiss SOS“ auf dem ITC anklicken und der SOS-

Notruf wird bei der nächsten Verbindung des GPS

SAFE mit dem Tracking Center unterbrochen.

Wichtig: Das Gerät funktionier t mit Funksignalen,

Drahtlo snetzen, terres trischen Netz en un d vom Anwender eingestellten Funktionen. Die Verbindung

kann nicht unter allen Bedingungen gewährleistet werden. Für extrem wichtige Mitteilungen wie ärztlich e Notrufe sollte man sich nie ausschließlich auf DrahtlosGeräte verlassen.

5.3 Anruf

Tätigung eines Kurzwahlanrufs:

1. D ie Anruft aste 2 Sekunden lang drüc ken. Das

GPS SAFE führt einen Kurzwahl anruf an das

Administratortelefon durch.

2. Die ROTE/GRÜNE Einschaltungs-LED und die BLAUE GPS-LED bleiben während eines Anrufs eingeschaltet.

3. Nach dem Drücken der Anruftaste wird ein Trägerton

erzeugt, der einen Anrufversuch anzeigt.

4. Nach Beendigung des Anrufs kann die Anruftaste oder die Einschalttaste zum Auflegen betätigt werden.

Annehmen eines eingehenden Anrufs:

1. Wenn das GSM-Netz freigeschaltet ist, ist GPS SAFE in der Lage, vom Administratortelefon oder von den eingegebenen Notfallnummern eingehende Anrufe zu empfangen.

2. Wenn GPS SAFE klingelt, reicht es zum Annehmen des Anrufs aus, die Anruftaste zu drücken.

3. Nach Beendigung des Anrufs kann die Anruftaste

zum Auflegen erneut betätigt werden.

Hinweis: Es ist n icht mögli ch, Anrufe von anderen Nummern als von der Administratornummer oder den Notfallnummern zu empfangen. GPS SAFE klingelt auch nicht, um auf den Eingang solcher Anrufe hinzuweisen.

5.4 Audio-Überwachung

Zum Aktivieren der Audio-Überwachung am GPS SAFE ist es möglich:

1. Vom Administratortelefon eine SMS mit dem Text

„Listen“ an GPS SAFE zu senden.

2. Nach dem Empfang der SMS tätigt GPS SAFE auto-

matisch e inen Anruf an das Administratortelefon,

ohne den Besitzer darauf hinzuweisen.

3. In der Zwischenzeit ist der Lautsprecher des GPS SAFE deaktivier t, während das Mikrofon verstärkt wird.

4. Der Audio-Über wachungsanruf wird als Default auto-

matisch nach 30 Minuten beendet.

5. Da rauf werden die normal en L autsprecher- und Mikrofoneinstellungen wiederhergestellt.

5.5 Bericht

Empfang eines Berichts zur Position des Geräts:

1. Vom Administratortelefon eine SMS mit dem Text „Position“ an GPS SAFE senden.

2. Nach dem Empfang der SMS verbindet sich GPS SAFE

mit einem Ortungspunkt und überträgt die Details zu

seiner Position per SMS an das Administratortelefon.

Dieser Befehl erlaubt dem GPS-Ortungssystem, die genauen Angaben zu seiner Position durchgehend zu übertragen. Mit „Start:OK“ antworten, nachdem die Funktion zur durchgehenden Ortung aktiviert wurde.

Unterbrechen kontinuierliche Ortung

Stop

Dieser Befehl erlaubt dem GPS SAFE, die durchgehende Über tragung

der genauen Angaben zu seiner Position zu unterbrechen. Mit „Stop:OK“

antworten, nachdem die Funktion zur durchgehenden Ortung deaktivier t wurde.

Dank den Fortschritten des GPS-Netzes auf der ganzen Welt können Sie Ihr Satellitenortungssystem jetzt aktualisieren. Track Manager ist ein praktisches und kompaktes Gerät, das zum Analysieren aller Ortungsdaten verwendet werden

kann.

6.1 Überblick Anwenderschnittstelle

Die Hauptmenüleiste erlaubt einen schnellen Zugriff auf die wichtigsten Funktionen und die entsprechenden

Informationen.

Import GPS Track: Anklicken, um die Funktion Import Wizard zum Importieren der GPS-Ortungsdaten zu starten.

New Activity: Anklicken, um eine neue Tätigkeit hinzuzufügen.

Hardware Settings: Anklicken, um die Ortungsmodi des GPS SAFE zu personalisieren.

Clear Device Data: Anklicken, um die im GPS SAFE gespeicherten GPS-Aufzeichnungen zu löschen.

Software Settings: Anklicken, um die Softwareeinstellungen des Track Manager zu personalisieren.

6.2 Softwareeinstellungen

Nach dem ersten Starten des Track Manager wird man aufgefordert, die Softwareeinstellungen zu vervollständigen.

anzugeben.

3. Die Funktion Import Wizard beginnt, die Ortungsdaten aus der angewählten Quelle zu übertragen.

4. Die Ortungsdaten werden korrekt importier t.

6.4 Hinzufügen einer neuen Tätigkeit

Zum Hinzufügen eine r neuen Tätigkeit (betreffend Sport, persönliche Aktivitäten, Arbeit usw.):

6.5 Tätigkeitskalender

Der Kalender bietet eine kl are Übers icht über die

Aktivitäten, an denen Sie im Laufe des angegebenen Monats teilgenommen haben.

1. Di e Maus über das Icon der im Kalender angegebenen Tätigkeit ziehen. Es öffnet sich ein Pop-

up-Fenster mit den detaillierten I nformationen zur

jeweiligen Tätigkeit.

2. Das Icon der Tätigkeit anklicken und der Track/die Strecke derselben wird auf der rechten Google-Karte angezeigt.

3. Die Pfeile zum Anzeigen von mehreren Tätigkeiten an einem Tag verwenden.

4. Die Pfeile zum Ändern des Monats und zum Anzeigen anderer Tätigkeiten verwenden.

5. Mit der rechten Maustaste das Icon der im Kalender aufgeführ ten Tätigkeit ankl icken, um meh rere Optionen anzuzeigen:

• Delete: Die angewählte Tätigkeit kann gelöscht werden.

• Expor t to GPX: Die angewählte Tätigkeit kann in eine

GPX-Datei (.gpx) exportiert werden.

• Expor t to CSV: Die angewählte Tätigkeit kann in eine

CSV-Datei (.csv) exportiert werden.

• Reload Map: Die Karte der angewählten Tätigkeit wird

aktualisiert.

• Update Cell-Tower Fix: Die GSM-Standortbestimmung

wird über den Server wiederhergestellt.

6.6 Tätigkeitsanalyse

Tätigkeit erfassten Wegpunkte.

2. Die Graphik unten rechts enthält 6 verschiedene Anzeigen

der Tracks mit den entsprechenden Messungen.

vor und zurück in Richtung eines fixen Punktes zu bewegen. Auf diese Weise kann die Position dieses fixen

Hohe Temperature n beeinflus sen die Lebensdaue r

elektronisc her Geräte, schädigen die Ak kus und können die Kunststoffteile verformen oder schmelzen. Beim Wechsel von einer hohen/niedri gen Temperatur auf eine normale Temperatur kann es zur

Kondensatbildung im Geräteinneren kommen, was zu

einer Beschädigung der elektronischen Schaltkreise führt.

• N icht versuchen, das Gerät auf eine andere Art und

Weise zu öffnen, als in diesem Handbuch beschrieben.

• Stür ze, Stöße oder zu starke Schwingungen vermeiden. Der unsachgemäße oder nicht korrekte Gebrauch

des Geräts kann die Mech anik und die i nneren Schaltkreise beschädigen.

• Zum Reinigen des Geräts keine chemischen Produkte, Reinigungsmittel oder aggressiven Lösemittel verwenden. Nur ein sauberes, trockenes, weiches Tuch zum Reinigen der Oberfläche des Geräts verwenden.

• Für eine optimale Leistung das Gerät ab und zu rücksetzen, indem es ausgeschaltet und der Akku

entfernt wird.

7.2 Betriebsumgebungsbedingungen

1. Medizinische Geräte

Der Betrieb von Funkgeräten, einschließlich Schnurlos-

Telefone, kann mit dem Betrieb nicht adäquat geschützter medizinischer Geräte interferieren. Einen Arzt oder den Hersteller des medizinischen Geräts konsultie-

ren, um sich zu vergewissern, dass das Gerät angemessen gegen externe Funkenergie geschützt ist. Das Gerät ausschalten, wenn entsprechende Vorschriften

es vorschreiben. In Krankenhäusern oder anderen

Gesundheitseinrichtungen könnten Geräte vorhanden

sein, die empfindlich auf externe Funkenergie reagieren.

2. Implantierte medizinische Geräte

Die Herstel ler me dizinische r Gerä te empf ehlen einen Mindestabstand von 15,3 cm (6 Zoll) zwischen

einem Schnurl os-Gerät und einem implant ierten

medizinischen Gerät wie zum Beispiel implant ierte Herzschrittmacher oder Defibr illatoren, um eventuel-

le Interferenzen zu vermeiden. Träger solcher Geräte sollten:

• Immer einen Sicherheitsabstand von über 15,3 cm (6 Zoll) zwisc hen Schnurlos-Gerät und dem medizini-

schen Gerät einhalten.

• Vermeiden , das Schnur los-Gerät in der Tasche zu

tragen.

• Das Schnurlos-Gerät an der dem medizinischen Gerät gegenüberliegenden Seite an das Ohr halten.

• Das Schnurlos-Gerät ausschalten, wenn Verdacht auf

Interferenzen besteht.

• Di e Anleitungen des Herstellers des implantierten

medizinischen Geräts befolgen.

Für eventuelle Fragen zum Gebrauch eines Schnurlos-

Geräts zusammen mit einem implantierten medizini-

schen Gerät wenden Sie sich bitte an das medizinische

Personal.

3. Fahrzeuge

Die Funkfrequenzen können den Betrieb nicht korrekt

installierter oder abgeschirmter elektronischer Geräte

in Motor fahrzeugen beeinträchtigen, wie zum Beispiel

die Kraftstoffeinspritzanlag e, das elektronische ABS,

die elektronische Geschwindigkeitskontrolle und die

Airbag-Systeme.

Für weitere Informationen wenden Sie sich bitte an den Herstel ler des Fahrzeugs od er der jeweiligen

Ausrüstung.

Die Wartung und die I nstallation des Gerätes in einem

Fahrzeug müssen auf jeden Fall durch qualifiziertes Fachpersonal erfolgen. Eine falsche Installation oder Wartung kann gefährlich sein u nd zum Verfall der Garantie füh ren. Regelmäßig kontrollieren, dass alle Schnurlos-Geräte des Fahrzeugs korrekt montier t sind und funktionieren. Keine entflammbaren Flüssigkeiten, Gase oder andere explosive Stoffe in dem gleichen Abteil lagern oder

transportieren, in dem das Gerät, dessen Komponenten

oder Zubehörteile vorhanden si nd. Berücksichtigen, dass die Airbags sich mit großer Wucht öffnen. Das Gerät oder dessen Zubehör nicht im Austrittsbereich

des Airbags positionieren.

Das G erät ausschalten, bevor man in ein Flugzeug

steigt.

Der Gebrauch von Schnurlos-Telekommunikationsgeräten in einem Flugzeug könnte die Funktionen des Flugzeugs

beeinträchtigen und auch illegal sein.

7.3 Akku

Der Akku kann unzählige Male geladen und entladen werden, ist jedoch im Laufe der Zeit dem Verschleiß ausgesetzt . Den Akku auswechseln, sobald die Gesprächsauto nomie und di e Standby-Zeiten weit unter den normalen Zeiten liegen.

• Sicheres Entfernen. Das Gerät ausschalten und das Akkuladegerät abtren-

nen, bevor der Akku entfernt wird.

• Extreme Temperaturen vermeiden. Für den Akku wird eine Temperatur zwischen 15°C und

25°C (59°F und 77°F) empfohlen. Extremtemperaturen

beein trächtige n die Ladek apazitä t und die

Lebensdauer des Akkus. Ein Gerät mit einem warmen oder kalten Akku könnte eventuell zeitweilig nicht funktionieren. Die Akkuleistunge n sind bedeutend reduziert, wenn die Temperatur unter Null absinkt.

• Entsorgung. Die Akkus nicht ins Feuer werfen, denn sie könnten

explodieren. Die Akkus gemäß den örtlichen Gesetzen entsorgen. Es wird empfohlen, den Akku dem Recycling zuzuführen. Nicht in den Hausmüll werfen.

• Korrekter Gebrauch. Den Akku nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck verwen-

den. Ein unsachgemäßer Gebrauch des Akkus kann zu Feuer, Explosionen oder anderen Gefahren führen.

Wenn das Gerät oder der Akk u herunterfällt, und

zwar insbesondere auf eine harte Oberfläche, und Sie glauben, dass der Akku beschädigt ist, wenden Sie sich

bitte für eine Kontrolle an ein Kundendienstcenter,

bevor Sie den Akku wieder verwenden. Keine beschädigten Ladegeräte oder Ak kus verwenden. Den Akku für kleine Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren.

7.4 Permanentladung

Es besteht die Möglichkeit, GPS SAFE mit einem nicht in

der Packung enthaltenen per manenten Speisessystem zu laden.
