Thank you for purchasing the Celestron ThermoCharge 3! The
ThermoCharge 3 is an essential multi-use tool designed to be
used in the elements. Its portable, high-capacity power pack can
supply power to your cell phone, MP3 player, and many other
USB-powered devices.

1. CHARGING THE INTERNAL LITHIUM

ION BATTERY

Your ThermoCharge 3 2-in-1 device has an internal, 3000 mAh
rechargeable lithium ion battery, which allows for at least 4 hours
of continuous use at a constant temperature of 104° to 113°
Fahrenheit (40° to 45° Celsius). Your ThermoCharge 3 ships
with a partial charge, but you should charge it completely
before using it for the first time.

Follow these steps to charge the internal battery:

1. Attach the Mini USB connector end of the included USB cable

to the Mini USB “in” port (1) on your ThermoCharge 3.

2. Plug the standard USB plug end of the cable into a USB port

on a PC, laptop, car charger or USB 5V-1A adapter plug.

3. Once plugged in, the blue LED (4) will start to blink,
indicating that charging is in progress.

4. Charging is complete when the blue LED (4) stops blinking.

NOTE: The ThermoCharge 3 is designed with overcharge

protection to prevent damage to the internal battery.

2. USING THE HAND WARMER FEATURE

• Press and release the on/off button once (3). The unit will

begin to heat up. In minutes, it will reach its maximum
temperature and you will feel the heat being conducted
through the aluminum housing.

• Press the on/off button again to turn the ThermoCharge 3 off.

3. CHARGING AN EXTERNAL DEVICE

• Plug your device’s USB charging cable into the USB 2.0 port (5)

on the ThermoCharge 3.

• Press and release the on/off button (3) quickly, then press and

hold the on/off button to begin charging. Your device should
indicate it is charging.

• When charge is complete, the ThermoCharge 3 will

automatically power off.

NOTE: Storage of more than 6 months without use may

have detrimental effects on the condition of the
lithium ion battery. It is recommended that you
discharge and recharge fully every 3-4 months to
maintain optimal battery life.

dispose of it in an appropriate manner at your local battery
recycling center.

• Do not disassemble this battery or attempt to repair or modify
it in any manner.

• Do not expose this battery to moisture or submerge it in liquid.
Keep battery dry at all times.

• Do not attempt to charge battery using any method, apparatus
or connection other than the device’s USB connector. For
questions or instructions for the various ways to charge the
ThermoCharge 3, refer to this manual.

• Do not attempt to replace any part of this battery.

• This battery is intended for adult use only. If this battery is
intended by Purchaser to be used by a minor, purchasing
adult agrees to provide detailed instructions and warnings to
any minor prior to use. Failure to do so is sole responsibility
of Purchaser, who agrees to indemnify Manufacturer for any
unintended use/misuse by a minor.

• All batteries have gone through a thorough quality assurance
inspection. If you find that your battery is excessively hot, is
emitting odor, is deformed, abrased, cut or is experiencing or
demonstrating an abnormal phenomenon, immediately stop all
battery use and contact Manufacturer.

• For extended storage, first charge your battery for at least
one hour.

• Never dispose of batteries in the garbage. Disposal of batteries
in the garbage is unlawful, in the United States, under state and
federal environmental laws and regulations. Always take used
batteries to your local battery-recycling center.

1. CHARGER LA PILE LITHIUM-ION INTÉGRÉE

Votre ThermoCharge 3 2-en-1 comporte une pile lithium­ion intégrée rechargeable de 3000 mAh qui lui permet de

fonctionner pendant au minimum 4 heures à une température
stable de 40° à 45° Celsius (104° à 113° Fahrenheit). Votre
ThermoCharge 3 est livré partiellement chargé, mais vous
devriez le charger complètement avant de l’utiliser pour la
première fois.

Voici comment charger la pile intégrée :

1. Branchez l’extrémité Mini USB du câble Mini USB inclus

dans le port “in” (1) de votre ThermoCharge 3.

2. Branchez l’extrémité USB pleine taille au port USB d’un PC,
d’un ordinateur de bureau ou portable, à un chargeur de
voiture ou un adaptateur secteur USB 5V-1A.

3. Une fois branché, l’indicateur LED bleu (4) commence à
clignoter, indiquant que le chargement est en cours.

4. L’indicateur LED bleu (4) cesse de clignoter lorsque la pile
est pleine.

NOTE : Le ThermoCharge 3 comporte une protection contre la

surcharge permettant d’éviter d’endommager la pile.

2. UTILISATION DE LA FONCTION DE CHAUFFE-MAINS

• Appuyez sur le bouton Marche/Arrêt (3) une fois. L’appareil

commence à chauffer. Il atteindra sa température maximum
en quelques minutes et vous pourrez sentir la chaleur diffusée
au travers du boîtier d’aluminium.

• Appuyez encore une fois sur le bouton Marche/Arrêt pour

éteindre le ThermoCharge 3.

3. CHARGER UN APPAREIL EXTERNE

• Branchez le câble de charge USB de votre appareil au port

USB 2.0 (5) du ThermoCharge 3.

• Appuyez sur le bouton Marche/Arrêt (3) brièvement, puis

maintenez le bouton Marche/Arrêt appuyé pour commencer
la charge. Votre appareil doit indiquer qu’il est en cours de
charge.

• Votre ThermoCharge 3 s’éteint automatiquement lorsque

l’appareil est complètement chargé.

1. DEN INTERNEN LITHIUM-IONEN-AKKU AUFLADEN

Ihr ThermoCharge 3 ist ein 2-in-1-Gerät und verfügt über
einen 3000 mAh Lithium-Ionen-Akku, mit mindestens 4
Stunden Dauerbetrieb bei einer konstanten Temperatur von
40 bis 45 °C möglich sind. Ihr ThermoCharge 3 wird teilweise
aufgeladen geliefert. Sie müssen ihn jedoch vor dem ersten
Gebrauch vollständig aufladen.

Befolgen Sie die nachstehenden Schritte zum Aufladen des
internen Akkus:

1. Verbinden Sie den Mini-USB-Stecker des mitgelieferten

USB-Kabels mit der Mini-USB-Eingangsbuchse (1) Ihres
ThermoCharge 3.

2. Stecken Sie den Standard-USB-Stecker des Kabels in einen

gegen eine Beschädigung des internen Akkus

2. VERWENDUNG DER HANDWÄRMER-FUNKTION

• Drücken Sie einmal die Ein-/Austaste (3). Das Gerät beginnt
sich zu erwärmen. In wenigen Minuten erreicht es die
Höchsttemperatur und Sie spüren die Wärmeabgabe durch
das Aluminiumgehäuse.

• Drücken Sie erneut die Ein-/Austaste, um den ThermoCharge
3 auszuschalten.

3. AUFLADEN EINES EXTERNEN GERÄTS

• Stecken Sie das USB-Ladekabel Ihres Geräts in den USB

2.0-Anschluss (5) am ThermoCharge 3.

• Drücken Sie kurz die Ein-/Austaste (3) und halten Sie sie
gedrückt, um den Aufladevorgang zu starten. Ihr Gerät zeigt
an, dass es aufgeladen wird.

• Wenn der Aufladevorgang abgeschlossen ist, wird der
ThermoCharge 3 automatisch ausgeschaltet.

1. CARICAMENTO DELLA BATTERIA AGLI IONI DI

LITIO INTERNA

Il dispositivo 2 in 1 ThermoCharge 3 è dotato di una batteria
interna agli ioni di litio da 3000 mAh ricaricabile, che consente

almeno 4 ore di utilizzo continuato a una temperatura costante
compresa tra 40 e 45 °C (tra 104 e 113 °F). ThermoCharge
3 è parzialmente carico al momento dell’acquisto, tuttavia
è necessario caricarlo completamente prima di iniziare a
utilizzarlo.

Seguire i passaggi indicati di seguito per ricaricare la batteria
interna:

1. Collegare l’estremità mini USB del cavo USB in dotazione alla

porta di ingresso mini USB (1) del dispositivo ThermoCharge 3.

2. Collegare l’estremità USB standard del cavo alla porta USB

di un PC, un computer portatile, un caricatore da auto o un
adattatore USB 5V-1A.

3. Una volta collegato, il LED blu (4) inizia a lampeggiare,

indicando che è in corso la ricarica.

4. La ricarica è completa quando il LED blu (4) smette di

lampeggiare.

NOTA: Il dispositivo ThermoCharge 3 è dotato di protezione da

sovraccarico per prevenire danni alla batteria interna.

2. UTILIZZO DELLA FUNZIONE SCALDAMANI

• Premere e rilasciare il pulsante On/Off (3) una volta. L’unità
inizia a riscaldarsi. Dopo qualche minuto raggiunge la
temperatura massima e sarà percepibile il calore che viene
diffuso attraverso il rivestimento in alluminio.

• Per spegnere ThermoCharge 3 premere nuovamente il
pulsante On/Off.

3. CARICAMENTO DI UN DISPOSITIVO ESTERNO

• Collegare il cavo di ricarica USB del proprio dispositivo nella
porta USB 2.0 (5) del ThermoCharge 3.

• Premere e rilasciare velocemente il pulsante On/Off (3),
quindi tenere premuto il pulsante On/Off per avviare la
ricarica. Il dispositivo dovrebbe indicare che è in corso la
ricarica.

• Al termine della ricarica, il dispositivo ThermoCharge 3 si
spegne automaticamente.

1. CARGA DE LA BATERÍA DE LITIO IÓN INTERNA

Su dispositivo 2 en 1 Thermocharge 3 tiene una batería interna
recargable de litio ión de 3000 mAh que permite al menos 4

horas de uso continuo a una temperatura constante de 40°
a 45° Celsius (104° a 113° Fahrenheit). Su ThermoCharge 3
se entrega con una carga parcial, pero debería cargarlo por
completo antes de usarlo por primera vez.

Siga estos pasos para cargar la batería interna:

1. Conecte el extremo del conector Mini USB del cable

rápidamente, y mantenga pulsado a continuación el botón
